Our Frigidaire (Nortek) FG7SA series is widely used, and parts are easy to find, hence the great discounts on OEM and universal parts from Amazon. It’ll be 17 years old this February, and I plan to stock up on OEM-specific parts like control board, igniters, pressure switches, inducer motors, and blower assemblies before it reaches 20+ years. Many OEM parts should still be available for another 15–20 years. Universal parts (since Nortek makes Frigidaire, Maytag, Tappan, Gibson, and more) will likely be around even longer.
I'll make sure this furnace outlasts me. God willing it will still be keeping us warm when I am 100!

The only thing available there is for 2024.
Go to your "messages" tab at the top left of the home page. That's where my 2025 was.
I'll always file an extension in April and settle up in October.
Thanks. I got it. Would have been nice if there was a small indicator on that tab notifying me of a new message, or maybe a text message or email. They send me all kinds of useless crap, but can't send me notification of a tax statement. Our Government at work.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those wondering what kind of ship David and Dawn are travelling on!
It's Troy again.
Got an inch of fluffy white snow overnight and up to about 8am today. I just got back in from clearing our patio. The snow mounds on either side are getting large. But not out of control, yet.
I used the manual snow shovel on most of the patio, but the path to the gate, I used the little snow-thrower to get the flaky stuff out into the drive and parking area beyond our garage.
Also used the snow thrower to get the area in front of our garage. I was 3/4 done with that when I heard the rumble and scrape our our maintenance team in the plow truck coming our way.
This was an awake at 1 am day for piddles and take another Advil or two. Headed to the basement for some stretching, and to wait on the Ibuprofen to kick in. I toss and turn too much if I'm at the end of a dose, so I slept on the couch for about two hours.
I have more range of movement in my left leg. Most of the past week I had to either sit or lean on something to get my shorts and pants on due to the pain in the left leg. Yesterday I noticed I could get them on standing, without propping my free hand on a wall, and playing target practice to try to coordinate the foot to find the leg hole in the shorts. It's an improvement, despite the ongoing pain. So I'm slightly happy.
Wife says we're going to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen for lunch. Since it's at the mall, we'll go do some walking and shopping. I might sneak in a dish of ice cream, or a big pretzel while she's doing her thing, and I have to sit for about an hour waiting. Seems I can do a lap, visit the game store, and she's only through one clothing store! And she's the power walker, I just stroll with leisure.

It looks nice outside and I noted the temperatures before.
Troy, thought David mentioned they are on a container or merchant ship or am I dreaming that! That sure is no cruise ship room, IMO!
I am below par in how I feel this morning which is why my previous entry was so short, for me! Sore throat, fever, cough, stuffed sinus, chills you name it and I have experienced it since I quickly jumped out of bed this morning at 5:30.
I just cancelled attending the OPS Session I was supposed to go to. Already told the grandson I will not be at his game tonight. Terry can handle that without me. I heading to the favorite chair for a nap

Morning all,
Currently 10° after the low of -2 this morning. Sun is shining so already a nicer appearing day. May get to 20° later.
Supposed to get to 45° tomorrow with highs in the mid to upper 40's through mid week. High near 60 next weekend!
Not a lot happening, just playing catch up on some household chores that need doing. Church later as we go on Saturday so we are free on Sunday.
RhB Michael: We received the wife's SS document in the mail a couple weeks ago.

Good morning, all! Well the roller coaster is in the downside with today's high of 42 and tonight's temp of 25. We then climb to near 70 on Monday. Today agenda is to stay indoors, work on Williamstown Coal and maybe run a train or two.

Louis - If you have left over boiled cabbage, fry about 6 slices of bacon, crisp. Break up the bacon, throw the left over cabbage in the pan with the bacon and bacon drippings. Stir till cabbage is hot. Note - Even better when a cast iron skillet is used.

In regards to the Portland & Western derail. You can see some nice coverage here.
The Oregonian did some coverage on this topic as well.
How appropriate that an "engineer' named Casey Jones does a YouTube video about trains. I follow this guy somewhat as he is in the field of structural remediation/prevention in the structural/civil engineering fields.
I heard that the IRS is going to do a lot more audits this year, not by hiring new employees, but using artificial intelligence. Gee, what could go wrong there.
I like green cabbage cooked in beef broth with a whole diced large onion and sliced pieces ( a whole package of two links ) of Eckrich skinless beef sausage. Add water to cover and cook until cabbage is almost fall apart tender. I add garlic powder and salt/pepper as required to taste.
On Demond Wilson.......
This guy got a break to be on "Sanford & Son". At one time, he demanded to be paid as much as Red Foxx. He was on several talk shows later now pronouncing his name "Dee-mond", like some aristocrat. He thought he would be in high demand as an actor but soon realized his assessment of his talents was much higher than that of reality. His career went downhill slowly and never recovered. He did do a few other gigs on TV but they didn't last long. A perfect example of someone whose bit of stardom went right to his head/ego. It pays to be humble my friends.
My assessment of Demond as stated above is based on my recollection of his talk show appearances and what actually took place during his career. I liked Sanford & Son and kept up pretty much with the cast of characters after the show was no longer aired. And yes, I'm old.
60 degrees today with plenty of sunshine, pretty nice.
Well, that my 5 cents worth today.
