An update on the card issue, that's quickly turning into a fiasco:
Via phone call, the fraud department confirmed it was an attempted authorization, and not an actual purchase. The people here that said that's what is was are correct.
The fraud department said since I confirmed via their email I did not authorize the authorization, the card will remain locked. I will need to call a different number during normal business hours, not counting holidays (which tomorrow is a bank holiday) to get the lock unlocked.
When I pointed out the email asked "Did you make this purchase? Yes/No", I of course said NO.
Bombay Bob then hung up on me. I guess I'll not have access to my money until sometime Tuesday--unless the fraud department decides my card will remain locked, in which case--who knows?

I'm here!

It's currently low on the F-degrees. We only have 13 of them. And it feels like none with the wind chill.

I'll be heading out to the game store this afternoon to help with demo day of the game I've been building a force for. Someone else is running the demo day, I'm just the opponent in the demo game. If we get a take, then Adam can referee and coach the newbie. Small points designed for a 3x3 foot instead of the normal 4x6 foot play space.

Kinda risky in NY isn't it? Both my Accura and Lexus will not lock if there is a key fob inside the car. Frustrating in the beginning when my wife would leave her purse inside and I couldn't lock the door, until I figured out what was going on.
Willie first, they would have to know that the window is unlocked. It's the small 10 inch window looking out to the truck bed from the cab. Second I live in a very small upstate NY town. The reason I asked you about the churches on your layout is that almost everyone here is in church on Sunday. Not very many crooks around. I will not go anywhere near NY city where hardly anyone attends church anymore. You're asking for trouble leaving your car unattended there. When I go south, I cross the Hudson River using the Newburg/ Beacon bridge, never the George Washington bridge and it's $16.00 toll to cross, Newburgh / Beacon bridge toll $1.55. Stay clear of where all the nuts live and you'll have a good life. Swal

Morning all,

15° and clear, going for a high of 49°. Not much going on. We usually do Saturday evening mass as it seems to be when most of us "older" folks go anymore.

I have a 4-day weekend, so I'm currently fighting with some respiratory crud, which is typical. Someone always get sick when I have time off. It's me this time.

Thought for today:

If we're not supposed to have a mid-night snack, why do they put the light in the refrigerator?

This just popped up on Facebook. I have to share that before it disappears deep in the bowels of FB. The reason is because it is the first time i see an R-2 motor (2 of them) in action on a freight in New York.
Such picture is indeed very rare and we have a gentleman here who years later worked in this area.

I'm one of those gentlemen who worked there. I guess this is Marble Hill, NY. I hired out in 1969 and never seen any electric motor on any freight train. RS3's were used haul Local freight in the area. Swal
