The reclassification of pot to Class 3 controlled substance doesn’t change firearms ownership and purchase restrictions at all according to this article. Because it’s still not legal federally for use medically or recreationally. It’s just easier to do research etc on its uses.

I never thought that in my lifetime weed would be pretty much decriminalized or that there would be weed shops either, but here we are. Did anyone think that the $200 tax stamp for SBR's and suppressors would end? My gut says that eventually it will be off the 4473, but maybe not in my lifetime.

I agree. The point of the article is that any non federally recognized drug makes firearm ownership illegal. Class 1 or 3 or whatever. The action would need to happen at the federal level to make it legal to have weed in your possession or use it with regards to firearms.

Of course it would. It's a federal form. I'm well aware of current laws.
I was more commenting on the details behind the form (ie Class 1 vs Class 3 or whatever). Doing what you do I'm sure you are very familiar with the forms :)

Speaking of cheap SBR, I may have to register a bunch. I've heard they're coming back in weeks. A friend had a suppressor come back in less than a week or something like that. I'd prefer the whole registration go away as is but the $200 tax was a major reason I hadn't registered a bunch of receivers. ($200 on a $10k-$40k machine gun is peanuts -- $200 on a $70 receiver is a lot of money)

Good morning! It's 41° and cloudy. Have a great day!

Good morning all!

Happy Hump day!

Currently 34F. That will be our high for the day. Temps will steadily fall into the teens by later today as a cold front comes thru. They
say a dusting to 1/2' of snow this morning but it all looks north of us.

Not much else going on at the moment.

No games or practices tonight so hopefully some train running in the basement.

Have a safe day everyone!

Good morning Crew. 25f degrees now heading to a high of 27. The Special Weather bulletin is about snow, the 35mph winds and that the combination will make visibility tough. Really, we needed a bulletin on that? Except for parking lot snow piles the snow was gone yesterday. Now it’s back but falling sideways, maybe 1” in total by time it stops around noon.

My first Mandatory 401k withdrawal is a cluster f…! We took out 7% of the total and they were supposed to take out the taxes but they didn’t. Pulled up the messages and saved forms that whoever inputs on the financial side missed the taxes but too bad so sad, they can’t do anything now! Not the end of the world but why have forms filled out if they don’t double check the processing.

Property taxes! We do not want to talk about property taxes for Wisconsin, here is why:

Effective Rate: Wisconsin homeowners pay roughly 1.25% to 1.38% of their home's market value in taxes annually. For a $300,000 home, this results in an annual bill of approximately $3,750 to $4,140

For vacant land

(Residential Class): A vacant lot in a high-tax area with a mill rate of $20.00 and a market value of $100,000 would pay $2,000 in taxes. Most developed housing lots in Dane County are under 1/2 acre and cost between $100-200,000.

(Undeveloped Class): If that same land qualified as "Undeveloped," the assessed value would drop to $50,000, and the tax would be $1,000

We have vacant but now residentially zoned property in the City with a mill rate of $16.94 per $100,000 value and property in the town with a mill rate of $19.79 pr $100,000. Our farm rated land is $14.05 per $100,000. Taxes are a part of life. There are no senior age discounts in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin is rated usually in top ten for property taxes. Illinois is #2! Congrats Mike…

The RV circus! Bet you love that Terry

I hated trade shows but we did 3 each year. Something about a 3 day show that brings out the craziness in some people. I have stories but being a family orientated forum…

The blinds in Terry’s office get replaced today, took 4 months from time she ordered them!

Have a great day

Morning all,

42° and partly cloudy, going to be 46° later (if we're lucky) as a front is moving in with high winds. Just love me some "Little House on the Prairie". I now understand why they built soddies.

Willie: I paid mine in person. Spending the wear and tear and gas money on the car. I actually paid the first half. I'll pay the second half in May when it's due. While the bank always paid it in full, I prefer to keep earning the pennies on the 2nd half.

Terry: Glad to hear you're not gator food. We used to go to the local RV show all the time as I really wanted one. I could just never afford one, and now that I can afford one, I can't go anywhere to use it. Can't see paying to have it sit in the yard. It also occurred to me that paying money to park and get into the show was way more expensive than visiting a dealership directly.

Good morning folks. 41°F this morning and the high for the day. Temperature will fall steadily for the rest of the day.

Back to see the eye Doctor today at 1400 to see what effect these drops have had on the pressure reduction in my eyes.

Nothing else planned for today except staying warm. Still no snow in sight for us. Stay safe today!

Servus!
