It em #1, Happy Birthday Willie!
Item #2 Continued prayers for you Louis.
46 and cloudy here, had a really good day at Church, lunch at Arby's and just glad my Missus is finally doing better. Hoping the Bears can pull off a win against Detroit. Might get some paint down on the layout today after the game, I couldn't find the little foam brushes I like for base scenery stuff so picked up some on the way home from church.
Working tomorrow and then will figure out what my new schedule is gonna be, as we have two new guys at work.
You guys have a good day.

Happy Sunday to all on the forum............

Thanks for all the suggestions on my Amazon return. Closest UPS store or Kohls or other Amazon return place is 130 miles round trip.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Santafewillie 🎂
That ought to be good for another gift certificate from Discount Trains. 😆
On a similar note, if your looking for some HO vehicles, I have found Diecast Direct to have the best prices. Also Showcase Miniatures has several new vehicles on their website.

Going to box up my Spectrum 2-8-0 project later today due to a missing (unobtainable) part. Oh well. I have others that I bought at a great price that need minor repair and I have the needed parts and pieces.

Doctors appointment next Tuesday for "wellness check". I have a new female type doctor so we will see how this works out. At the rate things have been going, I am expecting a not so great visit. I prefer an older male doctor, I guess because I'm a bit old fashion. I like talking to someone from my era of growing up.

Then its back to getting the drive shaft removed from my truck so I can take it to a drive shaft shop to check the balance.

I need to get the truck up and going so I can buy/haul a new water heater. The heating elements are going out on the one I have. Plus it is getting old.

Seems it is always something dropping out of the sky to keep a person from pursuing their hobby or what is relaxing and mentally fulfilling.

But I have high hopes to be able to make the train show in Plano Texas on the 16th of this month........something I enjoy. I don't need a darn thing but it is fun to be around others that share the hobby.
That being said, I have a Broadway Limited, Union Pacific, "Bullmoose" locomotive on order that is scheduled for delivery in late February. I'll have to be frugal at the train show because the Bullmoose is going to put a large dent into my hobby budget.

Everyone take care..........John

I mentioned this morning that I was finishing up the last batch of HO painted figures.
After church, I did finish painting the hair, hats and shoes on the figures. As I laid them out to dry, I stood up and saw one lone unpainted figure lying on the floor.
With a few choice adjectives, I decided to give the errant woman a shocking pink party dress. Finally, I am finished.

After tidying up the paint bottles, I opened another container of people painted years ago. Wouldn't you know, I found anther dozen unpainted figures I am now allowing the first color to dry over night and should complete the figures tomorrow.

I WILL NOT GO LOOKING FOR ANY MORE FIGURES FOR AWHILE.

Good Evening All.
Thanks to everyone for the Happy Birthday wishes today. Funny though, I don't feel any older! Good day today, even though it didn't get as warm as forecast, just 60°. Still outside in shorts and tee shirt and no snow to shovel.
Wife made me Beef Burgundy for dinner, one of my all time favorites. Half of the leftovers went into the freezer, the other half will be enjoyed later this week. She was depressed because the Cowboys ended their season with a loss. That will just give Jerry Jones a better draft pick next year which he will fumble. Nothing like the old Tom Landry days!
Time to go, it's past my bedtime.
Good Night.

I woke up just in time to see my Ravens' rookie kicker miss a 44-yard field goal that would have won the game. I don't blame the young man for the Ravens 8-9 record. This season never should have come down to one game let alone one kick. We'll get them next year!

In the meantime, I'm hoping for some great NFL Playoff Football!
