I'm sorry I haven't been around much. The antibiotic they gave me didn't seem to work. Now they are not sure what is wrong with me. They are testing me for all kinds of stuff! I could still have an infection that doesn't grow well in the laboratory. So, they gave me another stronger antibiotic to take for seven days.
Louis,
Did they get an infectious disease doctor involved yet? My wife was saved by one when all the hospital "doctors" weren't able to figure out what she had and just started random antibiotics. It took 48 hours for the culture results, but he was able to determine exactly what bacteria was killing her. She could have been saved a lot of misery if they had brought him in at the beginning. They isolated her for the first 48 hours thinking she just had Covid.

Streptococcus Mitis entered her blood stream through dental work, infected her heart (endocarditis), then migrated through her blood stream to her L3 & L4 bone marrow (osteomyelitis). I took her to the ER the day before she was set to retire. She was in there for a week and then I did the daily infusions at home through her PICC line over the next 6 weeks. It was bad enough that the ID doctor said that she was going to have to determine what her new "normal" was once she was well.

I have referrals to see two different specialists. They sent several vials of blood and urine for a more advanced lab/culture work. One of the many good things about my primary care is they are quick to call in specialists. I have more chronic diseases and syndromes that I can count on one hand. Honestly, I feel like all my health issues either scare them or at least leave them feeling overwhelmed. I think they are happy to pass me off to a specialist.

I don't feel so bad, if not for the lack of energy I wouldn't know anything was wrong. I think I am already starting to feel better. Feeling like 💩 is normal to me. I also think my doctors are panicking, again.

My wife worries so I went to see the doctor. She watches me like a hawk.

Thank you for your concern and sharing the information with me. I'll be sure to mention it.

Only one birthday of note today, mine! It's #74 for me.

Everybody have a great Sunday.

Lab results for the cultures should be available 48 hours after the lab receives them. I'm glad to hear they are taking appropriate steps now.

I just returned from replacing my phone. The good news is, the charging port works on the new one. The bad news is, I was forced to update to IOS 26.whatever it is. I absolutely hate the new update, but I had two choices: update to the horrible UI, or throw the phone in the garbage and do without. Since having a functional cell phone with compatible software is a job requirement, I guess I’ll be using my iPad with the older OS as much as possible.

The fun never ends.
My phone created passkeys without my knowledge or permission, and now I’m locked out of several accounts because the passkeys were stored on the phone I no longer have.
I know you don’t like them but passkeys are your friend. And if you log into your Apple account the passkeys will be shared amongst your devices.

So you’re not locked out. Rather you have safe and secure access to your various accounts and services.

Passkeys don’t track you or anything. They make your accounts safer and harder to hack in to.

I forgot to mention that I was able to handle and see a test run of the new Bowser C415 yesterday, at the LHS. Bowser did an excellent job!👍 It's just too new (wrong era) or I would have bought one.
On 12/20 I was at an ops session. The owner of Enginehouse Services in Green Bay drove the 150 miles to the session and brought 3 units along. The host models the BN Marais Pass and had ordered one. The other 2 were running a train after the trainmaster programmed it. They got sold to a guy at the session!

Ugly as sin but Bowser did a great job on it. Ran super almost out of the box, needed programming was it

I’ve used the IOS 26.2 since the updates came out on both my phone and IPadPro and like anything else they fixed what wasn’t broken.

It’s been awhile and there are a couple things I wasn’t happy with but must have gotten used to the changes as I don’t remember what they were

It em #1, Happy Birthday Willie!
Item #2 Continued prayers for you Louis.
46 and cloudy here, had a really good day at Church, lunch at Arby's and just glad my Missus is finally doing better. Hoping the Bears can pull off a win against Detroit. Might get some paint down on the layout today after the game, I couldn't find the little foam brushes I like for base scenery stuff so picked up some on the way home from church.
Working tomorrow and then will figure out what my new schedule is gonna be, as we have two new guys at work.
You guys have a good day.
