Some of the kids are over on the new 4wheeler, making snow angels and pretty turning into kidsickles. Uncle Kevin is busy making hot chocolate and watching from indoors where it is warm.

Well, it has begun

Waiting on the White Walkers and the Ice King to show up. Hope we have some Dragons or Arya Stark to head them off (Game of Thrones reference)

Here in Indiana, two different State Police cruisers were hit by motorists driving too fast for conditions. One trooper injured.

We've got a little accumulation on the patio. Weather guys still have us in the 5-8 inch range. our governor declared a statewide emergency so he could activate the Nat Guard and their heavy equipment to aid with snow removal. Souther IN is in the 12+ band. Indianapolis looks to get in the 8-12 inch.

Light snow but long-lasting over a full 24 hours-ish.

Started the lasagna process. Browned some onions, mild italian sausage, got the sauce in, extra herbs and now simmering for a few hrs. While I prefer to make penne since it is less work, my wife and daughter say that lasagna tastes better. Japanese have their taste buds connected to their eyes as presentation means a lot. I'm more of a throw it in one pot and be done with it. Easier, taste the same if the ingredaments are the same.

Is that static or did that engine detail fit over the motor? Awesome!
I used an engine that was in my junk pile for this project. I didn't not want to ruin a good running engine. I cut the doors out and made new doors that looked like they were open. I bought a plastic EMD engine and placed it where the electric motor use to be. I owned the day hostlers' job in Brewster NY back in 1972 & 1973. Just like I said in my comment. An engine coming off duty was placed on the fueling pad, every door was opened and the engine was inspected and fueled, Then I moved it to the sanding tower where sand was added. If it needed brake shoes etc. I would move it to the diesel shop then it was moved to a ready track available for service again. Swal
