Good Morning All. Cloudy and 30°, the first wave of snow has moved on. Looks like a secondary wave will be here in about two more hours, but doesn't look to be too severe. Should get above freezing around noon but a frigid night in store in the mid-teens. More normal weather after tonight, even into the 60's by the end of next week. All things considered, this has been a light snow, but in this area, there is no such thing as snow removal equipment. I haven't been out to the road to look at it yet, but there has been a little traffic moving slower than normal.
Going to have to head out to the snow-covered wood pile this morning. I have enough dry firewood to last all day and into the night, but I need to get some into staging/drying for the rest of the night and into tomorrow. Snow doesn't really wet it much, and is only on the top layer of the wood stack, so there is a bright side.
I didn't bother going out to the train shed yesterday, but I spent a few hours sorting, filing and in some cases deleting model railroad photos. I didn't realize that I was so far behind in my efforts. Today, I will continue the process.
For
Louis, I found a couple of pictures of the black & white vehicle that he asked about last week. I don't know who the manufacturer is, but it is not Oxford that I originally guessed, since it has no interior detailing. It is a '56 Chevy BelAir to the best of my memory. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Looks like the ink on the license plates that I added has faded.
David - That Beamish Museum seems like a neat place.
Todd - You're right on about some of the issues in California regarding the fires. Although I am not sure that many of those celebrities who lost high-$$$ homes needed insurance to begin with.
Troy - My issue with model railroad design programs is that I could do it with pencil and paper (not even graph paper) much more quickly than I could learn the program.
Westex John - Not sure if I am going to the show or not yet. Interesting that they now tack on an extra dollar admission for using a credit card! At least parking is still free.
Fellow modeler and musician Rod Stewart is 80 today. Another rocker, Pat Benatar is 72.
Everyone have a great Friday. The light snow has resumed here.
