Went to Costco today... and the stars and planets aligned to give me a minorly annoying experience.
Nothing wrong with the store.... but the drivers, both vehicular and shopping cart, were oblivious and annoying.
No wrecks, but a lot of people that would go too slow for traffic, or come up behind, and whip over next to me right as I put my blinker on to change to that lane.
Even had one dude, wearing headphones, oblivious to every shopper around him go fast, then slow, and down the middle of the main aisle, just gazing ... and ... slowly .... walking through the sea of people in the aisle... Just pull over dude, instead of taking your half out of the middle. You can window shop from the side and not line up with the others blocking the aisle.
On the exit, I figured I'd have to fight to back out of the parking spot, then wait forever to exit the parking lot. But luck was on my side!
I was fortunate that the six spaces across from me (I was lined up with #3) were empty. Great. I can pull straight through!
But somebody left a cart in the lot that was almost wedged between my car and the one next to me. So I returned it to the cart coral.
And when I came back to the car, a lady in a big SUV came down the opposite row, slowed, watching me get into the car, and then pulled in directly across from me. She then just sat in the SUV. Obviously waiting on me to back out, so she could pull through.
So, I pulled my phone out, leaving the engine running, and proceeded to check all the socials, even pretending to look like I was typing on the phone.
After about two minutes, the woman exited her vehicle. Neither of us got the easy pull-though the parking to nose out.
Normally, I would have been happy to give someone that opportunity in a crowded lot. But this woman made it obvious she was blocking me to get the pull-through spot. And it was 2:30 in the afternoon with a lot of spaces closer to the building than where she decided to park across from me.
