Good morning, all! Around 03:30 thunder erupted, some severe, and lasted till about 06:30. Dropped 2 - 1/2 inches of rain on an already soggy ground. Temp 50. I have to go to the grocery store for some items for a pot luck dinner on Sunday, then my dance card is pretty much clear. Hopefully, I'll get some work done on the station.

Guy - Nice to see haven't totally abandoned us. I do miss your photos. Did the fires ever get close to your town?
Moer - I suppose where you live it's when it snows, not if it snows.
Dave - Unusual looking plow. Looks like a converted tanker. Do they fill the tank with water for weight when plowing?
David - Do you have an overall photo of you layout?

Hughie. An old photograph of part of layout. The track is the same, but the buildings on the left are now on the right. The old card houses on the right are mostly gone. A new street scene is being built on the left. Once that is finished that is it. I just want to run trains whilst I can.

They're both $8.99 for a 12 pack at the stores around here. Prior to the last presidential election, they were on sale regularly for $3.00. Sales now can be as low as $4.50 each. I think that it's the new economic policy.
I now am buying Dr Pepper at 4 for $12.00, 6 packs of 16.9oz. I remember refusing to buy the 6 packs of 24oz bottles if it was 4 for $8 as too high.

Times are a changing

I just picked up a case of MT Dew for $10.99 a case. Limit one. I put the groceries in the car and went back for a second. Even went to a different register, because I felt kind of sketchy!

I only drink a couple a week, so 48 cans will last me a while.

That's a Bachmann? Looks very well done!

I think you need that for your collection! :D
No, I don't, DCC ready is £170 DCC Sound is £280, which is a fair price, and it's far better than Hornby's version, anyway, I need to start saving the pennies, I've got a Deltic on pre-order due this quarter, and my daughter's just phoned me to say she's lost her job, so I'm off to a great start to the year and I haven't even started back to work yet.

A couple of times my wife and I would go to different registers, make our purchases, drop them at the car, go back to the other person's first register, and repeat.
We only did that if it was a really good price, and only if we needed whatever it was. There were times we needed multiples, and that was the only way to get them.
I'm a regular at Redner's, I've been shopping there weekly since the week of their grand opening, over ten years. I can check out twice without leaving the register. Usually, my wife is with me so no need. One year they had Oscar Mayer hotdogs on sale before the 4th of July $1, limit of six. I asked the manager if I could buy fifty pounds. He said "sure, just pay at the register and pick them up at the back door".

Afternoon All,

Started out the 49F today and currently 73F. I spent most the morning doing chores. After lunch I headed up to the train room and placed the signage on the garage walls. Tomorrow there's a group taking down the holiday lights at the front of the subdivision. After that I'll glue the walls together and put the roof on. Then it's just weathering left to do.

Karl- Nice looking elevator.

Alan- Excellent looking passenger train consist.

Tod- Just like older times.

Terry- Interesting plow.

Hughie- Very nice layout shot.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Right after Thanksgiving they had a digital coupon sale. 24 cans of 12oz Pepsi diet caffeine free for $8.99 but 1 case only and no getting around the 1 time use coupon for $8.99. I just this past Monday opened it.

I drink 1 caffeine diet Dr Pepper at wake up like many do their coffees. 2 non-caffeine Pepsi the rest of the day. I don’t drink coffee, prefer not to drink tea, no longer drink whole or 1% milk due to the carbs and will drink 48oz of water during the day when thirsty.
