One thing at a time. Otherwise, the stress can be overwhelming. You got this!
How did the drop off go? It's ok for Dad's eyes to tear up.
The drop off went pretty well once we got going. It was about a 55 min drive away. We wanted to leave about 2 1/4 hours early so we could eat lunch and we also wanted to stop by the local BYU university bookstore to find a Japanese book (the Missionary Training Center [MTC] is physically, and probably administratively for its employees, part of the BYU campus).
We were about 30 min late to get the car loaded and going (not my fault this time) and as we were ready with car loaded I noticed the wife's car rear passenger tire looked really quite almost flat. And it was the car we were taking. We slowly and gingerly drove the car to the house project site, a little less than a mile I think, and got the compressor and filled the tire up But I heard a kind of whistling which sounded like air escaping so I said we would have to take my car. (My car has less room and is a PHEV Audi hatch and is my construction mobile though the wife had cleaned it out a week ago, and it is also showing an electirc System Fault: See Service message on the dash info display though it has been driving fine though the high voltage battery for EV mode has been deteriorating*).
We went home and got the luggage moved to my car, some light fixtures and other stuff removed from my car, wife, son, and me in the car, and we were off. By then we had about 75 minutes for his arrival appointment. So we decided we'd just pick up food on the way from down that area and eventually decided to just get him some food and the wife and I could eat something after dropping him off. We got him Chik-Fil-A (his choice but a good one) in Orem and drove the 10 minutes to a museum parking lot about 1 mile from the MTC so he could eat -- we ended up driving past the MTC about 3-4 minutes before his arrivale appointment so I went past and did a U-turn and came back to burn 3 minutes. We were waiting to make a left turn into the place right on time, but because of traffic trying to get in, couldn't immediately turn left so probably were technically 1 minute late.
They had a "gate check" of a guy asking his name, and asked him his mission assignment -- once they found him on the list they ut a yellow post it note marker in my windshield (normally on but it was snowy out) and told us to hang a left and follow the other cars. We eventually ended up in an underground parking lot and came to a stop. A person came up and said "this is it" so we stopped, got him and his stuff out. There was anotehr missionary there, whose been there a few weeks already, assigned to welcome him and bring his stuff into the facility. We took some pictures and said good byes. A few wetter eyes were to be had, though, mine not really, though I would not have been opposed. We then had to drive out so others coule get out and make room for others to come in and drop off their missionary.

On the house front, I think I already mentioned that the drywall mudding and taping crew were there yesterday from about 8:30am to 11:30pm. They got a lot done on their initial pass. They had also turned the thermostat up to 85 and then down to 78. The house had gotten to 75 and was 74 when I went in at 11:30pm. I don't know what they set it to when or if they changed it to things in between when I was not there. I saw the 85 in the afternoon and it was 78 when I got there late at night. If it had really been 85 or 78 the whole time from afternoon to late at night it should have gotten to be more than 74 (it had been 75 when I saw it was set to 85 in the afternoon) so I suspect it had been set lower for part of the time and they reset it up to 78 again at some point in the evening. Being radiant it does take longer to heat than a force air system but it does actually go up relatively fast.
Anyway when I left about 1am (I had to repair my plastic sheeting and OSB sheeting garage door "plugs" we had set up to try and keep the cold air from blowing in the garage and trap any heat the boiler gave off so that the boiler would work better and a snow aquall had come through with heavy winds and torn a lot down) it was still 74 (I had set it to 70 at 11:30pm) and I checked a couple times in the night as I have some remote sensors I can read from my phone and by morning it was still 71 while it was in the upper teens outside. So it held heat pretty well. It did hit 70 by the time I checked it later morning again.
I did not get up to the house today to work except to get the compressor for the car tire. I was tired as I had woken up at 5 am after going to bed around 2:30 and so I called in "not feeling well" to work and skipped the morning meetings and then we took my son and didn't get home until 4pm after picking up my daughter at her swim team practice and I had some stuff at hime and was still not feeling great despite sleeping in a couple extra hours. So not productive on the house but will be tomorrow. Unfortunately I have a 5:30am meeting and have meeting until like 10am or something. Then I have to take the wife's car to the tire place to see if they can repair the leak or if I have to replace the tires in back (Discount Tire). Luckily when we got home the tire appeared to still be pretty full so maybe once any excess pressure I had put in (to about 40psi)had whistled itself out the leak became slower. So I should be able to drive on it to the place, which is less than 3 miles away.
This will be my home office for work:
This is the train room. That door in the second pic goes to the office above.

This is the main hall in the "private" section of the main floor (once you leave the semi-private main or great room [kitchen, dining room, living room open floor])
This is part of the great room
