Good evening gents!

Looks like I killed another Dewalt battery tonight. It's been on the charger about 20 hours, drove 4 screws into layout benchwork then started turning s-l-o-w-l-y, and was kinda warm. My other battery (the last one remaining) is now on the charger, having driven most of a box of screws. Fired up the old eBay machine and found a 2 pack of 18 volt DC9096 batteries for 35 bucks with free shipping from Jersey. Should be here next week. While I was at it I checked tracking on some other arrivals. Tonneau cover for the lil red truck. Ordered January 3rd, coming from Wisconsin. Finally shipped yesterday (it had to be manufactured) , Blower fan for one of the Christmas decorations, left China today (also ordered January 3rd) and finally 3Dprinted crossbucks (ho) from and Etsy vendor were due to be shipped yesterday but no confirmation yet. They were ordered 12/30. So now it's a race to the front porch! My money is on the stuff from Jersey, followed by Wisconsin, then China. The Etsy stuff is coming out of Indiana, seems flaky at best.

Built in 1972 as C&O 4177, CSX 6076 rumbles by as a light engine move down the B&Os "old main line" just west of Sykesville Maryland on 8/13/2004. You may (or may not) recognize the station in the background as the basis for the Lifelike Baldwin Station kit. Looking on line, I'm pleased to say the old girl is still kicking!

Cya Tomorrow!

I believe that it is a bogus imitator of an actual Philly Cheese steak sub. Ironically the best one I ever ate was at Delucas in Pittsburg

I find it interesting that something that doesn’t claim to be something else is held to be an imitator of that something else. Seeing as one is a pizza, I don’t think it is trying to fool anyone into thinking it is a sub. 😂😂😂

Can't sleep - Suddenly want Pizza and Subs! The employee rest at the old terminal at PHL had the best Cheesesteak Sub in the world.
Latest month SoCal GAS Bill came in at $418 - a hundred higher but less gas used - WTF?

JOE/KARL - Great photos, but what kind of a motor is pulling that Passenger?

JAZ AV - I believe that You have my spouse beat on the shoes - but not by much. Purses are her speciality!

AHH -- The Master's Plan
(Now I understand)
God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael, the archangel, found him, resting on the seventh.

He inquired, "Where have you been?" God smiled sincerely and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, "Look, Michael. Look what I've made."
Archangel Michael looked puzzled, and said, "What is it?"

"It's a planet," replied God, “and I've put life on it. I'm going to call it Earth and it's going to be a place to test “Balance.”

“Balance?" inquired Michael, "I'm still confused.”

God explained, pointing to different parts of Earth.

“For example, northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth, while southern Europe is going to be poor. Over here I've placed a continent of white people, and over there is a continent of black people. Balance in all things.”

God continued pointing to different countries.

“This one will be extremely hot, while this one will be very cold and covered in ice.”

The Archangel, impressed by God's work, then pointed to a land area and said, "What's that one?"

“That's Florida, the most glorious place on earth. There are beautiful trees and gardens, it's surrounded by water and days filled with sunshine. The people from Florida are going to be handsome, modest, intelligent, and humorous and they are going to travel the world. They will be sociable, hardworking, high achieving, carriers of peace, and producers of good things.”

Michael gasped in wonder and admiration, but then asked, "But what about balance, God? You said there would be 'balance.'" God smiled an all-knowing smile and said, “I will create California. Wait till you see the f#*king idiots I’ll put there."

Morning all,

Finally at a clean computer long enough to read the stuff as it should be read and not on a tiny screen.

Here's what's officially been released:

DERBY, Kan. (KWCH) - The City of Derby reported on Monday that it had experienced a computer network disruption on Saturday. Once discovered, the City’s administrative and IT staff immediately began working with third-party computer specialists to investigate the incident, said the city.

The city immediately notified federal law enforcement and is cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation continues to determine what impact this incident may have had on information stored on our network systems.

Due to the computer network disruption, City of Derby outgoing and incoming email is not available.

The city said utility bills will be going out late, but due dates will be adjusted accordingly. Bills with a Jan. 17 due date will not be charged late fees.

All public services in the City (including core services such as police and fire response and water/wastewater utilities) remain operational.

The city said the investigation into the computer network disruption is ongoing.

I removed the local contact stuff as phone numbers aren't really necessary for this group and they are public record.

Just another day, but I'm already on OT for the week and have an extra 8 hours of holiday pay that everyone else has to bank to use later ( we get paid for it when we leave employ of the city). We can accrue 40 holiday hours in a bank of time, guess who's bank has been max'ed out for years...

Be back when I can.

Good Morning All. Clear skies and 39°. Winter is returning, with the next ten days seeing highs only in the low-60's with lows in the low-30's. Maybe rain next week, but they really don't know.

After the doctor visit yesterday, my wife had a long honey-do list. I went along with it as she hasn't really had one in a while. Meant that the oil in the car didn't get changed, tomorrow is the new goal. Today is the weekly grocery trek, as well as the pharmacy which is getting much more regular than before. A few other places are on the list as well; I just don't remember them.

Thanks for the comments and reactions regarding yesterday's update.

I didn't spend a lot of time in the train shed yesterday, I did get to a few more structures but mostly cleaned vehicles, sidewalks and scenery.
Continuing in a southerly direction, we come to another Downtown Deco Hydrocal structure known as Adam's Ave Part I.

Next we're looking at the Mayflower Cafe, a Smalltown plastic structure.

Last one from yesterday is Mick's Food Market. This is a cardstock structure that was a freebie download from some Internet site. I enhanced it a bit by gluing styrene strips to the windows to give it more depth.

Jaz - Seven pairs of boots!!!o_O
Joe - Seems that Jersey Mikes has different rolls depending on their locations. The Cheese bread that I get locally was not available at another Texas location that we visited while returning from vacation.

Lots of birthdays today, Paula Dean is 76, Dolly Parton is 77, and Janis Joplin would have been 80.
Everybody have a great day.

Ever since I discovered the deerhunter brand of jackets and it’s zillion well usually nice pockets, all zipped or buttoned I do not bother with a handbag, plus I had one taken off my shoulder, possibly cut who knows.
Inside pockets are cash cards, cash, ID, outside phone, gloves, face mask, lipstick (a pot one so it does not matter if it melts, baby torch rough edged to defend myself if necessary, asthma inhaler, face mask for hubby, small bottle of hand cleanser, house keys, I find stuff much quicker, and much to my husbands relief, as we all know that a women will spend way way more on a handbag than a pair of boots.

meanders…

Plus those tiny little grab bag ones are a total waste of space for me I just cannot get everything in. Plus you can put the keys between your fingers and make claws. Not that I ever have been attacked but he other half believes if anyone tries to snatch the Tesla I should
1. Run as far from it as possible as I car the card and my phone and it shuts automatically once I am far enough away.
He advises not returning in this instance, in case they are waiting.
2. Anyone getting a Tesla started and leaves without their card is an idiot, if your phone is linked but runs out of power or gets broken DOH. Do not stop the car, do not leave the car…It apparently will lock behind you….My other half once accidentally picked up my phone by mistake when I dropped him off, then I got a message from the car warning me I needed the card as it would lock me out. luckily husband had only got out at home, because he had MY phone and I could not ring him!

Yeah handbags….or locos or modelling kit….sorry handbags lose big time.

However, You do not want to know how many pairs of footwear I own, I could fill a room, plus real favourites even warn out have to be torn from my loving arms whilst being assured there is a shoe 👠 God and he will look after them until I am ready to be reunited with them in heaven…..LMAO.

meanders more…blokes are as bad

Still check out the other half’s exercise gear….it is slowly scratch that quickly taking on a life of its own. And we may need a second granny annexe to house it LOL. PLUS HE has paid more for shoes than I ever paid for footwear…Hand made, calf leather, stitched soles, brogues, he loved one pair so much he had them resouled at a local shoe repairer, every checking what leather sole what stitching etc and they ended up too small, he then bought stretchers to try to revitalise them, this is 25 plus years ago and they are still knocking about. although to be fair I still have boots 35 years plus :D

But hey we look after our 00 with the same diligence. To date none have rusted or shown signs of wear, only the odd one has zoomed off the track (helix ripped out!) only 2 have been dropped (prays….thankfully NOT by me) and the carpet Gods are prayed to before we look for missing ‘ping’ pieces and hoover…..gulps.

okay I’m done…..unless anyone wants me to open another subject, cups ear, leans forward…..sees incoming missile and ducks just in time……grabs coats And runs……….

Good morning from a white portion of Wisconsin.

Patrick, best wishes to you and the job. Reads like you been experiencing hell on earth this week.

Sherrel, still laughing.

Willie, we can group our meds to automatically refill on the same date every month, 60 or 90 days. I go for the 90.

JazA. You need to meet the wife and daughter. Shoes were my wife’s passion until retirement. The daughter is mega into purses, boots and shoes. Me, when I worked I had 3 pairs of Italian leather shoes I purchased in 1998, another pair each in 2005 and 2007 in Rome. Rotated them daily for work till retirement. Had them resoled at least twice each. Expensive initial purchase but a wonderful investment. Since 2014 though, maybe worn 10 times!

enjoy the day
