Ever since I discovered the deerhunter brand of jackets and it’s zillion well usually nice pockets, all zipped or buttoned I do not bother with a handbag, plus I had one taken off my shoulder, possibly cut who knows.
Inside pockets are cash cards, cash, ID, [snip]
Wise to keep your money in a safe pocket. It reminds me of the 3 rules universal rules to contentment:

1) Keep your money in your front pocket. This is a euphemism for "protect your assets."
2) Never trust "the man." This one means you should think for yourself, and should always "question authority" with a proper form of checks and balances.
3) Never ever... under any circumstance, "do crazy." This one simply means to not make hasty decisions, especially when under the influence of alcohol or drugs, especially if it involves a new acquaintance and romance. [edit to add]: The third rule is often shortened to "R3V" for Rule 3 Violation, which refers to lusting after a crazy person. you get the idea ;)

The SIL was heading to Chicago. So I used the snowblower on a solid 2” of white heavy snow. Best snow I have seen in years for making snow people.

Some difference, done in less then 45 minutes and only 4200+ steps per my IPhone. Big difference from the last place, where if I did the snowblower just the driveway apron took 45 minutes walking. I even put some ice melt down and that’s part of the step count and time. Yes, the shower after felt good. Off to the work bench before I zonk out here in my chair

FAO Patrick

My poor other half has spent the whole of last week trying to get his boss and his team to accept that this years to do list is wrong. They keep telling him, no everything is absolutely correct. He is then double checking triple checking tearing his hair out he knows this is not right, but everyone is ignoring him. Finally they have a meeting to tick everything off, and my other half perseveres,
WE agreed there would be 6 points, yes there say…and yet you have Seven,
none of the points vaguely match what we agreed a;l the teams need to concentrate on, um no,
and the points cover work we have covered previously…

Apparantly the person who types this up and distributes it, but does not go in to the meetings, does not have access to the hierarchical details, she is working on w year old info,
Why she was not brave enough to point this out if she was in the team w years ago is beyond me.
But the rest of the team including the boss are no running around updating everyone of the actual points, and are all scrabbling to take credit for dealing with this issue, totally ignoring who kept pointing this out.
The other half says,”As long as they continue to pay me the amount they do, they can make me clean the toilets lol”
The really thing is like Patrick every year he is finding people aimlessly working on for want of a better word obsolete crap that no one is checking to ensure they are working on the current plan.
Almost every year he has worked here he has been asked to apply for a managers job, and he has dodged the bullet. He says working from home is fine,
I used to live on 7-11 coffee. The local Little Caesars franchise closed years ago, as did the local Pizza Hut. Could not compete with the local joints.
The local Dominoes survives, but I can't remember ever patronizing them here.
did you Pizza Hut do the baked potato half a pizza and a mass e portion of coleslaw you used to be able to get this in Windsor years ago, so good I bet the Queen sent someone over occasional they also did a jug of Sangria. You cannot get this for a long time mores the shame.

KFC used to do the bbq pork ribs with a chick combo, but they dropped the pork ribs, another excellent choice gone.

The UK does horrible 🥤 drinks, the soda can very from actually too fizzy to horribly flat, and sometimes the stuff tastes like the tubes have just been swilled with disinfectant, to be honest I never liked pop, coke a cola worse than Pepsi for leaving a horrible film on my teeth…shudders. I preferred the slightly flat 7Up but would take bottle water if on offer.
But then I have all my teeth and just one filling, so it paid off.

fyi the last time we sat down and ordered a pizza at Pizza Hut, it arrived at the table my husband took one look and asked for it to be boxed as a takeaway, and we gave it to my son, I think we bought fish and chips. Their salad looked soggy - no chance of building a little mountain, the day I placed cucumber on the outside to rise the sides of the dish and fill it with crisp veggies is long gone, I did love their tinned potatoes and ranch salad option.
Once I had ranch sauce at an American Diner, it was no where near home which is a shame because it did an awesome burger.
Yes the meal deal had a come…I dipped my son polished it off. Their milkshake was a staggering 5£ and I saw one at a nearby table and was NOT impressed.
Burger was very flavoursome though.

Well it has been a gloomy and dreary day. Grey overcast, spitting snow, rain, sleet and the mix. I am in the office today and will be leaving in about 25 minutes. I am closing the office and sending everyone home early. Close up 3:30pm. The weather is gonna get nasty by the minute. So I want my peeps out of here so they can get home to their family safely. None of that 5 pm rush hour crash crap. I will actually taking the country roads home I will stay off the Northway I-87.

On my way home I will stop for some milk and the golden eggs......cha ching! I may get some chickens this spring who knows......

Still counting the days to the Big "E" Train show....made my list and checking it repeatedly with revisions and additions. Looking forward to the road trip!

I may run some trains tonight. I want to try out the last 3 locomotives I acquired recently. EMD SD40, EMD SD45 and the GE ET44AC C45AH Tier 4. Need to program them to the cab number and test them out. I will post pics on the JR's UPRR thread then I will share a link to my YouTube video. Sounds like a plan to me.

All this talk about pizza.....Little Cesar....don't have them here. We have Dominoes and Pizza Hut. Other than that we have a lot of NY style pizza shops all family run mostly Sicilians and Italians of course. I love the real deal....my down fall I have pizza 2xs a month. More than I should. On a rare occasion I will have a frozen kind but it's DiGiorno as it is the best in my humble opinion in the frozen pizza category.

Tonight's menu is ribeye steak, baked patato loaded, and sugar snap peas. Tomorrow night will be a Thai night. I will be making a Thai Basil dish which I learned from a friend of mine from Thailand. He is a chef and owns 3 restaurants in Florida.

Time to go!

later!

Afternoon All,

Slow start to the morning. After that we went to Sam's Club then went to Wally World for an oil change and battery check. It was determined that I needed a new battery (4.5 years). It was taking forever for it to be changed so I told them forget it and went to Advance Auto Parts for the battery check and install which was done immediately. After that I put gas in the car and washed it. After getting home I put a Pennsy Keystone decal on the back window :D. MOH is very happy!

Hughie- Nice layout shots.

Joe- Nice 1:1 shot.

Karl- Nice photos. I once ordered something from Texas and China on the same day. The order from China beat the one from Texas and both were mailed promptly.

Patrick- Sorry to hear that. Is it the same as the one that got the Royal Mail?

Sherrel- Don't feel bad. We have more than our share of idiots in FL.

I hope everyone has a good night.

A Cheese steak! Like a real genuine Philly cheese steak wid or widout! What's there to be confused about? A cheese steak is self explanatory.

Yeah but it is not claiming to be a cheesesteak. So the confusion is why it is an imitator when its not claiming to be one (cheesesteak) :) Its claiming to be a pizza in cheesesteak style. Not trying to draw this out. I just found it interesting!

Cheers

Good Morning All. Clear skies and 39°. Winter is returning, with the next ten days seeing highs only in the low-60's with lows in the low-30's. Maybe rain next week, but they really don't know.

After the doctor visit yesterday, my wife had a long honey-do list. I went along with it as she hasn't really had one in a while. Meant that the oil in the car didn't get changed, tomorrow is the new goal. Today is the weekly grocery trek, as well as the pharmacy which is getting much more regular than before. A few other places are on the list as well; I just don't remember them.

Thanks for the comments and reactions regarding yesterday's update.

I didn't spend a lot of time in the train shed yesterday, I did get to a few more structures but mostly cleaned vehicles, sidewalks and scenery.
Continuing in a southerly direction, we come to another Downtown Deco Hydrocal structure known as Adam's Ave Part I.

Next we're looking at the Mayflower Cafe, a Smalltown plastic structure.

Last one from yesterday is Mick's Food Market. This is a cardstock structure that was a freebie download from some Internet site. I enhanced it a bit by gluing styrene strips to the windows to give it more depth.

Jaz - Seven pairs of boots!!!o_O
Joe - Seems that Jersey Mikes has different rolls depending on their locations. The Cheese bread that I get locally was not available at another Texas location that we visited while returning from vacation.

Lots of birthdays today, Paula Dean is 76, Dolly Parton is 77, and Janis Joplin would have been 80.
Everybody have a great day.
Willie where's the We Buy Gold sign.
