Arrrggh!!!!!! That's it, I am retiring from the world for the night, nearly finished that switcher I'm building from odd parts, just waiting on some enamel paint for the railings as the're metal, and acrylic won't "stick", put the motor in the chassis yesterday, just needed to fit the trucks and do some wiring, done that, and................it doesn't work, wiring's fine, contact's, wheels etc, all done cleaned and checked with the multimeter all 100%, removed the motor and it's developed an internal short, bugger it!

The new spare motor I have won't fit, so have to order a new motor (probably 2), their out of stock till end of the month, on the upside I can order the proper motor mounts for it.

EDIT.
I did check the motor before installing it, worked fine.

And the treadmill is darn boring.
For sure, but in the absence of places to walk in the winter cold...

I gave mine to my oldest son. It sits in his basement folded up and gathering dust. I have come to regret that decision.

It would help if the treadmill was located facing a wall mount TV, then you could focus on the "Vast Wasteland" instead of a plain wall. Sciatic pain can go either leg or both depending on the nerve. Insidious little devil that it is.

The only time I frequented the treadmill was while living in an apartment in the big city, isn't always safe to be out after dark and during those short winter days usually at work during daylight...

By design we now live in the country, have a "dead end" road to walk on. I will take at least a short walk every day after supper, will bundle up these colder days and that is almost as much exercise as the actual walk. And since there are no convenience stores here I don't have to worry about the temptation of buying a chocolate bar on the way

I do not carry a flashlight but let my eyes get accustomed to the natural light. With the bright white snow covering we have now doesn't take long. If an odd car comes by I just move over to the shoulder and wave.

Busy day...so much for everyone back...LOL

Had our fist tornado watch of the new year yesterday and like Willie said, didn't amount to anything.

Really sad when the help you need from a vendor is such a greenhorn, you have to hold need to hold their hand to fix what you need assistance with. They logged into our system and the proceeded to not remember how to log into the SQL management portal.

Me: I can get into it, so what password are you using?
R: Can't tell you, but it doesn't work.
Me: I'll log in for you.
R: Gotta be the vendorSA account.
After creating a local database user account, I do have a Windows administrator account.
Me: Reset your password.
R: not sure I can.

He's finally in doing what I need done. It's sad when their tech support can't read the passwords in the notes on their machines. I know enough to know that under maintenance, I don't want to touch the stuff.

Never mind I had to fix it myself...

Much to my dismay - my right hip quits functioning after about a 1/4 mile. I guess that I am going to have to see about it as no-way can I do any planning of travel anywhere with the Spousal Unit.
I had hoped to be able to see Paris again - just not Paris, TX - LOL!
(that's a good one HUGHIE)

For some of us, the bar won't be that high.
My husband remembers every year and month that family died, that our dogs died, the loss of a wife, is no easy loss, I do try my other half casually (he reciprocates on occasion) I just do not know what I would do if I lost him, all you can do is plonk one foot in front of the other and move forward, and hope that a kind god exists and eventually you will re reunited, although my husband might reference a Meatloaf song, along the lines of until the end of time. Others might point to the references regards Hell in the afterlife.
The pain will likely not get better, but hopeful it will be farther and farther apart. and please do not be offended, but be grateful you had a good one, many in the world never had that opportunity.

God bless.

My dad lost my mum 30 + odd years before he died, but in the last days he said he looked forward to seeing her again, all you can have is faith. She was a great mum, he was a great dad, sadly missed.

She’s too good fryou, pokes tongue, love her coat, fox?

I just received some sad news. My sister is in the hospital on life support after yet another heart attack.
IF she makes it, encourage her to take d3 and k2, k2 helps your body avoid calcium build up in one arteries one of the main causes of heart attacks, while this is still free fresh, heartache etc, feel free to mentally slap me, but the advice is given in good faith.
