Afternoon All,

Spent a couple of hours working on the pool and yard this morning. It was comfortable in a sweatshirt. After lunch MOH dragged me kicking and screaming to Kohls and Wally World. That took 3 hours I'll never get back. Although Westerfield said it could be 8 working weeks for the NX23 kit, it looks like it will be shipped tomorrow.:D

Joe- I hope the "Echo" went well. I also hope your MIL remains healthy. I would think she got all the updates. It would be easy to verify that with a lawyer. Kathy and Dad are proof that the fully immunized you can still get it, just like the flu shot. Most likely it's from the staff.

Patrick- Good to see you making progress again, but it sure looks cold.

Sherrel- If you call be sure to leave a message. It's not uncommon for a return call to take several days. He doesn't carry his phone anymore.

I hope everyone has a good night.

A word you say, or are you hinting at a couple of bottles of Fench wine I wonder. 😁
I used to like some french wines, but I preferred Single Malt Scotch FWIW, but I rarely drink anything stronger than Dark roast coffee any more.
MADD, the group I referred to, is or was an American group dedicated to ending drunk driving...MADD being the acronym for Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Curt: She does not have it...nor is she in the contact group. She's pissed that she's not being tested...FOMO. I think she's angry that she didn't get it. as she lives to get sick...She's always been a hypochondriac . I think she lives (she's 90), to torment my wife, an only child. Those who tested positive or were in contact with those who tested positive are in isolation. The rest are permitted normal activities. Family visiting is strongly discouraged until this blows over.

No results yet from the Echo...Usually the "Portal" has them first, then they call. Thank you.

I've been rather verbose today. I passionate about Pizza, and Subs, although both are on my prohibited list for various reasons...I still have them on occasion. A "large pizza will feed us for a week, a "Whole" Jersey Mikes #13, will be our lunch for two days. I can remember when I could eat a whole sub at a sitting.

Tried to get a copy of my last Echo (12/01/22), from the hospital sent to the Cardiac Surgeon today, but I didn't get a call back. Try again tomorrow.

I have mentioned the project I was working on, the 50' BB gondola...Turned out pretty well.

PIZZA, I know what is the best ones in the world as I have tried them all over. But, if it’s got a good tomato based sauce, good Italian sausage, chopped onion and on my 1/2 black olives and it’s not a cracker type crust, I will be fine. We are about pizzas, not deep dish? Right! I also love deep dish but it’s not a “real” pizza, IMO.

JEFFH, I believe you are be very kind describing the abomination called St Louis style.

My top ones in no order

Pizzeria da Michele on Baker Street, London, GB

Pizzeria Due on Wabash, Chicago, Il

NY Pizza Suprema in Manhattan, NY.

La Vera Pizza di Mattozzi Naples, Italy

Connie’s Pizza, Archer Ave. Chicago, Il

These 5 were the only 5 stars in my contact list

Last visited the above 5 between 2012 and 2014 retirement while on vacations. The list is from my phone contact page with notes and hopefully they are still in business. I have probably 100 more on my list from business and vacation travels. Around 30-35 years eating out with clients, friends and family. I am a note taker. I preferred a pizza over a lot of fancy restaurants when on business trips, even clients were ok picking a pizza place to go.

There are ok pizza joints here in So. Central Wisconsin but none of them would even be top 50 on my list that I no longer update.

Living in WNY there are pizza places all over. The chains don't last very long. Everyone has a type and style of pizza. I'm sure Tom's list is top notch, but here you don't have to travel far for the type of pizza you like.
There was a show one time on Vice (cable station) and this guy went all over NYC to different famous pizzerias. Each one did a different type (NY style deep dish ect.) and by the end of the hour long show I was craving pizza so bad I had to order one. 🍕🍕😋

Growing up in Chicago and it suburbs the pizza was top notch. similar I am sure to the local NYC places. The son lived in Harlem while interning at the Electric Lady studios. He hit pizza joints all over and took me and Terry along to a few. All good.

Franchise places, are not for pizza!

Yes local Pizza joints are better, usually, than the chains. However, when I am hungry, or buying for my workers, or need something quick the chains will do. It's all good.

There are some fabulous local places around here. One that is famous in our region is called "The Pie" or "The Pie Pizzeria" which specials in more deep-dish kind of style. (They are still round and sliced normally but have a semi thick crust and really really thick toppings)**. I've not searched out the good local ones really, here, though one day I will try a few new-to-me ones. With a family of varying needs and wanted when it comes to food, we do easy for now. Wife, for example, is not really into Pizza (except Pie Pizzeria).

Anyway, enough rambling.

** as I think about it, since it's been a while since we've been, they may actually be square and cut in squares. All I know is it is really good, different than most places around here, and the wife likes it, which is not true of Pizza in general.

Sounds like a date night for you and the wife

Today I got a bad news from my favorite online shop (Hattons):
"Due to an ongoing cyber incident at Royal Mail, we cannot ship orders internationally using this service".
So my two N scale cars are stuck across the Channel...WTF!

Good news ! The seller refunded me the full amount of my order. :D :D :D
