What a difference an hour makes. Went from down about $21 to down $330 and from about 1/2 the positions being positive to about 10 or 11 out of 45 being positive. Oh well, another day in the market. Single days don't move me much unless they are involved with my options spreads and I need to roll...
On the covid front: Our family came down with covid after the new year. My daughter (13) picked it up and was sick a day with a fever the Monday afternoon and part of Tuesday after the new year weekend. She was feeling normal by the end of that Tuesday and went back to school. She was not tested and only felt bad a day. My son that Wednesday had a fever and he ended up staying home 3 days from his job and getting rest. No bad symptoms, just tiredness and on and off again low grade fever, and small amounts of coughing, and he was feeling fine that weekend and returned to work Monday. That Thursday (day after my son) I came down with a low grade fever which I had on and off for the next 10 days. Some days none, some days it would be around for part of the day and then go away again. Only twice did it get over 100.5 (Twice measured for a short time 101.x). I had a drier cough, not terribly bad, and felt a growing heaviness in my lungs. That next week that feeling got worse and I had a shortness of breath (walking up stairs, etc I would have to then pause at the top to breathe steadily to avoid a coughing fit). Normal sitting there I did not have shortness of breath. Just any exertion caused it and deep breathing felt heavy and burning (well not burning but I can't describe it better) in the lungs. Wife made me use her Apple watch to measure my O2 levels a few times, and they were normal. That next weekend (about 10 days later) I started feeling better and all last week I was feeling better daily. I still cough a little here and there but have had no fever and no shortness of breath in 9 days. My son and I did not get tested either. However, about the same time I started to feel it, my wife also developed a mild fever that went in and out, had a similar cough to me, etc. She was only feeling it about 4-5 days and between a normal day off and a weekend only missed 2 or 3 days work. SHE was tested that Monday after the first weekend, due to a work requirement, and was positive. Of course they don't know through a PCR test what variant but based on symptoms, etc. we assume it was Omicron. Since we all had similar symptoms we assume we all had it even though only the wife was tested. Yesterday I did have more coughing and a heavier feel in the chest (feel better today). I had a bad night of sleep and was very tired yesterday, which didn't help on my recovery.
