I'm hearing some are getting snow! We have near 3' in the backyard, and 6' drifts where I've shovelled. So I'm not feeling sorry for you. It is winter, after all. I secretly chuckle when I hear someone complaining about 3" worth.
Yesterday, I mostly rested after the weeks baby-sitting duties. Today, I hope to be more active.
I did visit the store for some pavement and walkway paint:
I mean to use custom mixtures of those paints to do the asphalt and sidewalks. The charcoal will be lightened for the asphalt, and the country grey is already very near the concrete foyea color on the hardware store. So, I just need to play with that a-bit.
Here is my test paper of the paints:
I'm using rolled sandpaper for the layouts paved streets. The 150-grit is rough, but, it hides very well under the paint.
I've primed and glued down a strip on my first module. The street is out front, so the G-kids can easily play with their dinky cars. Here's the set-up:
I'm going to paint the asphalt today. I also plan to re-work the sidewalk, and hopefully paint it. The hardware's parking lot sidewalk needs a curb.
Then, I might still have time to do more depot work.
Thankyou for all the likes on these simple posts.
Curt - Thanks for the kind comments! I had a look at the REA building on the fosscale site. That is going to be a wonderful building, and you are doing a masterful job so far. Please keep posting the progress photos.
Willie - The kids arn't so bad, really! I just thought I was done that business after raising four of my own. So, I do alot of complaining; but, I also dedicate myself to the children's care. That means no modelling for me, while I'm on duty. - The barn looks like a nice kit. I've always wanted a barn, with some land under it. Had too many kids, though, to be able too afford a nice spread.
I suppose I'd better get on with it! Have a good one!
