You mean the bird feeder Willie. I would love to fill it once a week, but the deer jump the 4ft fence and eat all the seed. I have to add just enough feed for the day. I plan on raising where I have a 4ft fence only to 6ft this year. I don't know what I'm going to do about it today. My boots fill with snow when I tack out there. Too far to shovel a path. The below photo is an old one the snow is much higher this year. Swal

SWAL: Don't know about NY Deer, but around here a 6 footer won't even slow them down. Ya, last years model and Bambi's probably not. But the rest .... We have White Tail and Mule. Pix looks like Black Tail? Also, that bar on the top of the fence just gives them something to vault off of. This might be 'out there', but the next time you get your ears lowered, ask the barber for a bag of hair. Sprinkle that in clumps around the outside of the fence, wear nitrile if you are worried about creepy/crawlies.

Good morning all!

Currently 20F but with the wind it feels like 0F. Warm up does start tofay and continues thru the weekend with above average temps.
High today is 43F under mostly sunny skies.

Usual household stuff this morning. Wife is heading into the office so I finally get a day home alone.

Not much else going on in my world.

Have a safe day everyone!

Good Morning all.
Currently 14° and light snow with a high of 30, so other than taking my dog Nico out a few times, I'm staying indoors. I plugged the basement electric heater in earlier to make it more comfortable and will have another cup or two of coffee, before I go down to the layout. I have 4 on-going projects and seems I'm not making much headway, so I'll spend at least 5 hours today trying to put a dent in it.

Sorry to hear all the snow you east coasters got. It seems old man winter hit just about everywhere this season with a vengeance. We had more than our share too and I'm ready to run him out of town.

Keep warm, have a good day & Happy MRRing

Good morning gang!!

22° under sunny skies, high expected of 35° expected.

On the home front, WE NOW HAVE WATER!! The guy came out yesterday and replaced the pump, lines, wiring and pressure regulator. The joy was short lived when the new pressure regulator failed. The tech ran out and got another one and had it replaced within the hour! The house is now good to go, I just have a 5k bill! Oh well.

While the plumber guy did his thing I did play with my new hot wire foam cutting tool. WOrks great! I got it from the big river company for like 27 bucks.

Well, back to work, BBL

25°F this morning on it's alleged way to 56°F today. I'll believe that when I see it. It is supposed to be cloudy today, so there's that.
Have to drive out 20 miles to the gun shop to start the 4473 and then 20 miles back. Twice this week. Once for the form, once to pick up the firearm. Normally, they will start a form for approval over the phone so I don't have to make two trips. I guess they're pissed because I didn't buy it from them.

Well, this model, the first variation in LE form doesn't exist anymore. Walther has moved on to the second variation with a slightly different optic mount. I don't know if the LE model is available either in the second variation. In addition to that, their distributor is out of it. 'Course they don't know that because I didn't ask them about the pistol and checked myself.

Troy, that's a VU meter pictured in your post. Not certain why unless you were recording it.

They are certainly building some ugly cruise ships today.

Willie, how did your wife's eye exam go yesterday?

Have a good and safe day folks. Servus!

Morning all,

39° and clear, headed for 67° later.

Went to KC yesterday to visit mom. She had a good day. She called my sister before I got there and wished she'd have a visitor. She got me instead. Sister never called me about it until after I had sent a picture to the siblings.

Waiting in the Dr office to get the stitches out from the procedure 2 weeks ago.

And thinking I had sent this, stitches out and looking good. No restrictions! Now I gotta wash dishes and not just load and unload the dishwasher.

I visited KC a lot while at Whiteman AFB in the 80s. Later in the 90s my employer placed me out there for work and I lived in Prairie Village, basically, Overland Park, Kansas, which I really loved. When he pulled me back to the St. Louis area a year later, I was tempted to stay and find other work. I really love the Kansas City area. I could do without the wind though. Chicago has nothing on them for wind.

Good Morning All. Clear and 38°, back into the mid-70's today. Wind advisory for this afternoon with these warm winds from the south. 70's and 80's until Sunday, then cooler but not cold. Stay safe if you're in the midst of that NE blizzard. I just cannot imagine having to live up north with snow happening all of the time. Give me some more 100°+ days!

Another doctor visit today, this time for my regular gastroenterologist, to decipher the colonoscopy and endoscopy results from the hospital visit. The hospital GI doc never came to see me after the procedure even though I was still in there 24 hours later. She and I didn't see eye to eye to begin with. It also seemed that the hospital staff didn't like her either. This visit today will be interesting since I still have only the LH hearing aid while the RH one is in for service.
After yesterday's visit to the eye doctor, my wife is now scheduled for laser eye surgery next week. Nothing major, both she and I have had it done before. Stopped and got some delicious Texas BBQ on the way home. Post office, O'Reilley's Auto and Dollar General are on the way home today. Need a new battery for my tiller. I can still start it with the "pull-start" rope, but I am getting lazy...I paid for the electric start so why not use it. Old battery is six years old, so it has served me well.

Did something a little different out in the train shed yesterday. I installed two light fixtures under the upper level. to light parts of the lower level. One is a traditional fluorescent fixture over an unfinished area on the south-most aisle (of 3). This one is direct-wired into a 120v line controlled by a light switch. The other is an LED fixture over the south end (railroad-wise) of the town of Ft Wish. That one plugs into an auxiliary outlet that connects with a dedicated 120v line. I have six more fixtures to do when I get ready.

Mac - At least the roads are clear where you are. No snow plows here in Texas.
Tom O - Have a safe return trip. It may be late, but good luck with the tournament.
Karl - I started letting the checkbook do the plumbing work a few years ago. I could still do the work, but it took a good chunk of time to do it. Plus crawling under the house and squirming into cabinets was becoming too strenuous.
Louis - My prayers go out for Cecilia and family.

Everyone have a terrific Tuesday.

Wife texted me after she did the rest of the driveway that we need a new snowblower, we don't. Apparently she ripped the electric start ground lug out of the plug socket and it is stuck in the cord. I'm going to have to repair that when I get home as the only way to get a replacement has the starter motor attached.

Don’t feel bad, I wrapped the dog chain up in ours a couple years ago. Made a hell of a racket and took quite a while cutting it out!
