I have a body fat/composition check done every year as part of my physical. I was at 14.5% last year and as long as I stay between 15%-20% my Dr. doesn't worry about my weight. When I was working, my weight ran around 155 to 158. Now sitting on my arse all day in winter has bumped that up by about eight pounds. I suspect five of it will go away starting in Spring and will be back to my regular weight by end of summer before the cycle starts again.
I'm just glad it doesn't show and my pants still fit.
My Dr is part of the MDViP concierge medicine program. I have his personal cell phone and email. I can get same day appointments usually within an hour or two of calling and the annual physical tests include hearing, grip strength, EKG, every possible blood test, body composition, etc. I've been with him for over 20 years, we're the same age (birthdays are 1 day apart), and it's going to suck when he retires this year. I've been spoiled with excellent preventative medical care.
This is what they use for the body composition test.
