Currently 29°, cloudy, and waiting for the snow to start. By 0500 it should mix and be all rain by 1000. Lovely day for a CT Scan.

Wife is a tea drinker, and boils her water in a pot on the stove. She tries numerous "exotic" flavors, and numerous methods. I'm a coffee drinker, and have come to appreciate the Keurig and the Tim's Dark Roast over a brewed pot. I'm lazy, so I'll brew my tea using the Keurig and a tea bag....Works for me!

I don’t drink black or green tea. But do enjoy an herbal tea. There are a few I have that are orange based that are good. But one simple one I got hooked on in Germany is Fennel Tea. The Germans laughed at me and said that Fennel tea is for babies and toddlers. So be it. Just seeped a few minutes in the cup and a little honey or stevia or other sweetener if you want. Not too much sweetener.

get yourself an electric kettle.
That is what my wife uses in the upstairs kitchen with her Earl Grey tea bag.

She brews a pot of 100% Colombian coffee in the upstairs kitchen with a Mr. Coffee every morning for me and brings me a cup. I am so spoiled 😁
I use my Mr. Coffee in the downstairs kitchen for everything!

I can get one appliance to do the work of two, and it takes up less of my severely limited kitchen space.
That is why my Mr. Coffee is used for everything downstairs.

I get up early, heat the water in the Mr. Coffee and make instant coffee until my wife brings me a cup of fresh brewed coffee from upstairs.

I love Mr. Coffee, I even have a new one on the shelf in case one fails.

I'm not fussy about coffee. I had another ex-girlfriend that liked French vanilla flavored coffee, not creamer, the coffee was flavored. I even put up with that. Young American lady, she liked it, and I liked her, until I didn't.

I'm so cheap that after we broke up, I finished the half a can of French vanilla flavored coffee.

The news was like somebody dropping a live grenade in my lap.
I had an umbilical hernia repaired in 2004, which was the day I died the first time from a reaction to the anesthesia. Fun times...
I wanna hear about "dodgebus"...

The difference is that most drip coffee makers heat to about 180-ish F. Water boils at 212 F (seal level). those extra 40 degrees unlock a lot of flavor.

(Or "flavour" to the rest of the English speaking world).

I occasionally do a pour-over V-60 (or Chemex if you have a fancy pour over pot) Coffee. It's definitely a different taste. But I also follow James Hoffman, a Brit who knows coffee and the science behind it, on FB and YouTube.

Good morning all.
I see Flo is in a fluster. All this talk of 'fancy teas' and coffee, she says, "It's ordinary coffee and tea she serves and no fancy stuff".

Dawn and our daughter are having a 'Pamper Session' this evening, so I shall make our dinner at 2.00pm.
A light snack for tonight.

As the G.Is. introduced coffee to us, 'Thanks Guys'.

Morning all,

No worries Flo! I'll take a large cup the stuff Mel makes you serve and Like It!

Currently 34° and cloudy with drizzle in Doo-Dah, supposed to get to 45° later with a possibility of sun later this afternoon. Winds to remain pesky all day.

Was a busy day yesterday. Makes the day go quicker.
