A chilli dog is a husky in Alaska, a Coney dog I think is an Ireland / Island dog…..sniggersFood for thought... and a question
What's the difference between a "Coney Dog" and a "Chili Dog"?
Thank you kind sir, but I bought this one instead. You have my permission to buy it.![]()
One fits in an Ice cream cone and the other is so chilled it doesn't care if you eat it or not.Food for thought... and a question
What's the difference between a "Coney Dog" and a "Chili Dog"?
I always understood that they are similar but the Coney Dog has a pork based sauce, while a Chili Dog has a beef based sauce.Food for thought... and a question

Dude!! So happy for you!!!!
GP9?
Yep, Athearn, see what I can do with this, looks a lot better than the GP35GP9?
Ahh the perennial favorite of the Ages, the Athearn GP7. Yes I know the box may say GP9, but it is in actuality a GP7, the main spotting point being that GP7s have 3 sets of louvers on the cabinets beneath the cab, and GP9s only have 1 set. Otherwise the differences are internal. In either case these things are so solid that I rarely hear of a mechanical failure, and when they do, parts are available. I cant say the same for AHM or Model Power units.
Happy Birthday to your Dad, Curt. Nice Waterproofing building Build.Afternoon All,
Today it's cold, dark and raining and it's supposed to continue through tomorrow night. Today is Dad's 91st birthday. In the train room I finished up Wileys Waterproofing. I ended up making a couple minor changes to the kit. It's sitting on the layout in it's general area but it won't be finalized until I build the FOS McCauleys kit. They will sit next to each other on the layout.
Chad- Growing up we ate Dad's version of chili which is a soup. Shudder.
Jaz- Nice shots of the good boys and girls on your layout.
Mikey- That is wonderful news. I am very happy for you.
Toot- I'm very glad you are doing OK after all that surgery.
David- Nice layout shots.
Swal- Unfortunately dumb people are everywhere and multiplying.
Mac- No thank you. The ground is white.
TomO- Glad you had fun at the operating session. That looks like a well-used GP-38.
Willie- Great looking progress.

I hope everyone has a good night.
Mara -The Budd is a locomotive within itself. I believe they were mean't to be passenger pulling units originally. CN rigged 1501 to be a dedicated rail inspection unit. I can be corrected on those statements.Great Budd Railcar!!!!Thats an inspectioncar?
I'm using 3/32" balsa sheet, only because I have a ton of it left over from R/C airplane modelling days. I should be using 3mm foam board. What kind of materials do you use? I mean don't you worry the wood sheets are to thin?
I plan to build our RR station and wonder how to make it, either from wood sheet or polystyreen. It is a brick building so I have to make an inner body and attach the brick sheet to that "body". This way there is less change for warping I hope.
Your sheets seem rather thin, but might be good.
Have you ever tried laser method?
I worked with a guy who complained a lot about the long hours our job normally worked, (Out of Port Reading, NJ). one day, work was light, and we got done early... was the last we ever saw the guy again. He went to a Saloon near Cliffwood, NJ, got into an argument with another guy over a woman. He Shot the guy, killing him, then realizing what he did, he shot himself...but lived. Now he is a lifetime guest of the NJ Department of Corrections. So much for quits.RE Old 97's graphic above in #972...
It was 1983 or 84.
I was on a Conrail job that used to run from Danbury, Connecticut, up the Harlem line to Wassaic, New York, back before Metro-North bought and rebuilt the line. A nice job that ran once or twice a week.
I recall the conductor that day was "Eddie" (not his real name, keep reading), and he was complaining about working on the railroad and not having "a social life".
I turned to him from the engineer's seat and said:
"You mean... this isn't it???"
Aside:
I'm wondering if Eddie got out of prison yet. He was in a hotel room with a lady of (cough) ill-fame, and went to the bathroom. When he came out, she was trying to steal his money, so he shot her... dead. His social life came back to bite him!
Be fun to watch what you do with this!, looks a lot better than the GP35
Windows NT by another name. I still run OS/2 Warp by IBM on one of my machines.
