Good afternoon all. A cloudy day with a lot of rain. (No change there then.)
Another day I have to take it easy, so a large coffee and a blueberry muffin please, Flo. I'll be in the corner.

The mention (previously) of relatives would be 100 years old this year got me thinking. Had my mother been alive she would be 100 years of age in April this year. A strange fact to that is she never lived in the reign of Queen Elizabeth, our longest reigning monarch, yet her son did.

Sherrel Keep us informed. Have a positive mental attitude. Don't let the bxxxxxxx get you down. Winners never quit.

Back later

Morning all,

I need a stack with a triple side of bacon...Can I substitute the stack for extra bacon? And coffee. Thanks Flo.

31° and cloudy going for a high of 52° later.

Yesterday afternoon turned into a crap show. We had an email account get hacked. We are using Microsoft's Outlook 365 (Cloud version) and Microsoft had hole that needed plugged. Funny how we set MFA and the hack involves bypassing MFA with only the password. Fortunately, we got ahead of it and found where 39 other accounts were compromised and got the users passwords and MFA reset. We also are having all users run the updates their computers may be needing. I did only have to work a couple hours OT as we stopped a ton of the attempts by getting our email portion geo-fenced and Microsoft blocking others trying to get in. At least none of our internal infrastructure was compromised.

Good morning Crew from a suddenly white landscape again in Wisconsin. It looks like 1/2” of the white stuff out there but the WeatherChannel app is not showing a graph of the snowfall! Does that mean it didn’t happen?

The high today is 34f degrees and tomorrow is 30 so I may go out there and run the ATV with the plow. Same with the office because the public sidewalks need to be cleared, the plow on the ATV should make quick work of that.

I have 5 guys coming at 11 this morning. We will be running the layout with full opps in the paper mill and partial in the transloading facility. Lots of creased cardboard that says bleach building, shipping, biomass, ect… fill-ins for what needs to be built someday.

I do have an issue with the wiring in the reverse loop area of the east staging yards. I could not find the offender yesterday so I cut both rails last night on the staging lead from the main. It makes no sense as nothing has changed in this area since it was wired and tested in October. The wiring guru will show up at 10 and says he’ll find the issue. I have 5 trains prepped in the west staging yard to work the paper mill, paper mill yard itself, the transload facility and to run staging to staging if the east staging gets fixed. There is only 1 train struck in the east staging yard

I looked with the daughter yesterday afternoon at the grandson’s hockey schedule. Boy they sure do travel! I have the list of travel items he needs to have and texted it to Terry last night. He needs lots of stuff and all the website links and product numbers were on the list. The list was pretty extensive as this is year 26 of the organization. He already has most of what he needs but definitely needs a new backpack and a wheeled carry on. Happily in my eyes they are saying neck protection is required. With the death of one pro this season and numerous reported incidents this year of cut necks it’s a needed thing

enjoy the day

OH MY STARS!
Someone stayed up all night working that one out?

Looks like a job for "Fast Tracks"

Good Morning All. Mostly cloudy and 49°, the forecast is for 70° again today although it didn't make it yesterday, just 67°.

Weekly grocery trek day again today, a side trip to Sam's Club for a repair on the reading glasses and on the hearing aids is on the agenda as well as the ever more frequent stop at the pharmacy.
Then later on, I have to have the dreaded conversation with Prudential to discuss what appears to be my demise. Or else I am now a supernatural being!

Dull day out in the train shed yesterday, sort of. No day with trains is really dull. About all that I did was spread more ground foam and position the stone pillars for the front fence in the cemetery. I did run a few trains as well.
A few progress pictures.

Those lighter areas are "wet glue" that hasn't dried yet. Looks like a little touch up is also needed.
Here is the mausoleum that I referenced yesterday, after I tentatively positioned it.

This is an area where I haven't installed lighting under the upper level yet. I will do that before placing the tall grain elevator back in place.

Chris - If you by chance end up with that ATSF loco, the motor is the same one that they still use. But I agree that your sister does not need to get it for you as you posted.
Troy - How did the roast turn out? My son uses a phone app to monitor and control all aspects of his pellet smoker/grill and has burned everything that he has made while I stayed at his home.
Sorry to read of your SIL's issues. Positive vibes from me.
Tom O - Congratulations to your grandson. I wish him well. Have a great operating session today.

Everybody have a great day.

Good morning ALL!!!
I'm seeing Flo give me that quizzical look and I agree.
Not sure what I want, but will start off with world peace, two steam locomotives going full speed on the same track, a wild pony tied to a bronco post, going in circles on a short rope, two clowns in a 12 clown car and an "Everything" bagel, toasted with butter and cream cheese.
Oh, and a coffee too.
You know Flo, with your hands on your hips, you look like an hourglass. :)
What? Oh yes. Please reserve that knuckle sandwich for somebody else.
Where's Willie sitting, I'll just be over there......

You all did me good with your kind words of encouragement --- survived the second day with no mishaps (came close - once)
It was touch and go for a minute ... the RN could not fine a BV that would hold the drip - she said that she would not try more that twice, so she went for help and the third time was the charm.
I hope that tomorrow will be smooth sailing?
Friday is an MRI of my brain (waht is left) and a meet & greet with the surgeon who will install a port on Monday. Then I have a week off and start the second round.

They have not mentioned finding the source - even referring to calling it a Neuroendocrine (short version NET) which appears to be a pretty rare bird? Results of the Biopsy still not in?

(neuroendocrine+cancer&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS983US987&oq=neuroendo&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCggCEAAYsQMYgAQyDQgAEAAYgwEYsQMYgAQyDQgBEAAYgwEYsQMYgAQyCggCEAAYsQMYgAQyBggDEEUYOTIKCAQQABixAxiABDIKCAUQABixAxiABDIHCAYQABiABDIHCAcQABiABDIHCAgQABiABDIHCAkQABiABNIBCTYxMzY5ajBqN6gCALACAA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8.E.T.)

Sorry to be such a bore!
Have you had an MRI before? If you don't like tight spaces, ask your doctor for a little valium before the test. I did that the first time. The second time I didn't need it. It's boring and kind of loud. Have them turn on the music. Having a port installed is an in and out thing. You'll be glad you have one before it's over. It makes things easy. I still have mine, and it looks like I'll be needing it again. After two years free and clear it looks like a little something has woken up. Back to the war for me too!

I hate and dread the MRI machine. Therazopam is the drug of choice around here to calm me down. 1/2 the tab 30 minutes before and the other 1/2 as I get called.

Waiting to hear when my next one is scheduled. Full body scan after a 30 day low iodone diet. Then injected with radioactive isotopes. After 3 days toss the pillow and bed sheets. The ultra sound before golf indicated the lymph nodes are back and at a size that needs removal. So first the full body scan to see if it’s spread!

The low iodine diet also includes removal from most of my meds but especially my thyroid replacement therapy drugs. After a few days without those I exhaust easily. Good thing is after the body scan I go back on my drugs and in a couple days feel human not zombie like again.

This will be the 3rd time of removal and the second after the original throat and thyroid cancer surgeries on May 2, 2011. the day that they announced they successfully ended the search for bin Laden.

Embrace modern medicine, it’s a good thing

Willie: Chuck roast was yummy. Wife declared it so. Especially when I explained the price difference between a 2.5 lb chuck and a 7 lb Brisket flat. She said keep smoking the chuck.

Be sure when you call the insurance place to use Bob Hope's famous line: "Rumours of my demise are greatly exaggerated."
