Well, howdy there internet people.

SO MANY PRIOR POSTS THAT I GIVE UP REPLYING THIS MORNING - BESIDES, I doubt anyone really wants to hear my trials.
First day of Chemo was a blast (not) - needless to say that I had almost forgotten that my body has that many holes to "LEAK" from ... They were all used and changed within the last 18 hours... pants, underware, pajamas, and sheets. There, Did I gross you out? -- DID ME!
Rant away. We're here to commiserate with you.

I'm smoking one for you ;) and trying to blow the smoke westward, but the Rocky Mountains are getting in the way.

What am I smoking?

How about a 2.5 lb chuck roast and some sweet Italian sausages?

All of the grill gurus were setting their smokers at 225° F and going 6 to 8 hours for a 3 lb-er. I'm at 240° and my Meatr app is telling me only another 1.5 hours... Dumb gurus...

Morning folks! Once again its chilly this morning but will warm up later. Boss is back at work, so now I can't be lazy anymore, though he's still not feeling the best.

Today my grandfather would've turned 100, in fact both of my grandfathers would've celebrated their 100th birthday this year.
I'll spend this evening eating chocolates with myself.

Happy Birthday to the Grandad's!!!
Bought myself some chocolate last night.
Salted sea caramels.
Unfortunately, it was basically a small sampler.
Gone within a piece or so.

Chris Like Willie says athearn GP60 made in 1995 the trucks and running gear fit other athearn models the truck #46011 athearn still sells new $30 for the pair and yes plastic body like all athearn engines
But look at the handrails and stanchions they are metal the stanchions are the a old style that wrap around the wire handrail
If the seller will take offer might be worth a lower price It is hard wired for DCC

edit that has the 84040 motor the same one you ordered for your DD40 engine
It has a hard-wired decoder, don't know what tho', trucks I think I have in my rummage box, and a motor I have, but I'm simply not confident in getting it cleaned up, single colour bodies are relatively easy, multi-coloured are not, it's too easy to remove more than you intended when cleaning off old paint that you haven't applied yourself.

Morning folks

17F and light snow, the only kind apparently available this year. There were a lot of flowers leaving Costco yesterday.

Wasn't sure I was going to recover a couple of the canines this morning. They were on to something and the last commotion I heard was past our mailbox a mile away. I took an attempted recovery drive to no avail but they showed up about 15 minutes back. Big kitty? Last week, the local hound squad chased one through the back yard. That one got stuck with an arrow.

Yep, Flo is going to be more than disappointed. Did the coffee have an off flavor? Are you feeling ok?

NOW, that I have ruined everyone's day, I will return you to your regular programming!
Captain Weems: Really? Granted chemo infusions are no fun, and the aftermath is worse, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Rant and talk about it all you want. As Tom O commented, better hearing you bitch, than not hearing from you. Praying for ya.

One question that I'm curious about...did they ever pinpoint the location of the malignancy?

Welp... hit the stall.

I had to screen shot my phone with the MeatR app: We went from 1.5 hours till done, to this:

That means we hit the stall. when the meat is being insulated by the fat that isn't ready to render into liquid right then.

So, I went outside and applied the foil boat (instead of a wrap) I had already turned the vents open (about 20 degrees worth)

In the time it took for me to screenshot that, and post it to the Book of Faces, it shifted to this:

And now it says 57min remaining... I should probably bring the temp down a bit.

Biscuits in the US are more like bread than the hard cookies you're thinking.
A scone looks exactly like your ‘biscuit, and is like a dense sponge cake but better, in the uk scones are often eaten sweet with cream and strawberries, a tea time favourite. with dried currants or sultanas also and even glazed cherries. as someone who cooks I suspect the recipe for scones and ‘biscuits’ (excuse the ‘x’ but I think of biscuits as flat and crisp like American cookies.
Your ‘chips’ are our crisp
Our ’chips’ are your thick French fries
There are many twists patties another

US ‘biscuits’
UK ‘scones’ sweet, strawberry and cream a personal favourite (real strawberries not jam
even the cheese version is considered more cake than a n other.

Most firms nowadays make you do an "Orientation Day", just to show you where stuff is, introduce you to the managers, supervisors etc.
Although it's a pain regarding where to store all your tools, I'm sure when you explain everything they'll allow you to store them on their premises, this must have happened before when they hired a new guy. Is there anywhere else you could store the tools for a few days if they insist on you not bringing them with you, a friend's garage or lock-up maybe ?
A lock up would cost, when I was last here after losing wife and moving south he was in a mobile home, I think he moved to be near family, and supposedly better weather (well we all know the weather has gone wizzy dizzy) maybe they might have room, BUT insurance will then be an issue, work is sure to be his best bet, so fingers crossed.

On doing some research I've found the loco my sister wants to send me is on eBay for the princely sum of £53 it's DCC hardwired, so this is what, a '70s maybe '80s Athearn model, I've still told her not to buy it for a couple of reasons, one it's not worth £53 in my opinion,(£25-£30 at most) so it's an old motor and mechanism and simply the state it's in.

If you look at the first two fotos, Im not sure if it's simply paint flaking or zinc rot.

However, the main reason is that my sister and BIL both live on state pensions (my sister is soon to be 71 and my BIL 75), I'd rather they spend the money on themselves or food than yet another locomotive her brother doesn't need, remember, I have close to 100 already, I already have three examples of the Sante Fe RR in their Silver/Red, Blue/Yellow and Red/Grey colour schemes.
She loves you, so she does not count the pennies, next try this….ask me first…..then maybe I can source two for the same price and you can give me twice the ❤️ love

Spent my last C Note and sent the DIL to obtain some flowers for my bride yesterday afternoon - cannot believe how much everything is anymore! I cannot complain over her. The spousal Unit has been a godsend on keeping up with my appoints, making sure that she understands what the hell is going on, and hauling my $$s all over.
NOW, that I have ruined everyone's day, I will return you to your regular programming!

TERRY - Good vibes for your next venture.

GUY - That's a winner - Make her work for those flowers!
Big metaphoric hug, I noticed the Chiefs won, I think your a Chiefs fan,

I think we can see the coffee shop is here for the good and the bad, and you are welcome to bitch over any of your sxxx because in time many of us will likely have similar issues for ourselves or our better halves, and we are a support club, you have supported others in earlier times, so what goes arounsd comes around,Support you local sheriff, good luck with the plumbing issues, if possible warn anyone in the fire line!!!

Afternoon All,

Started out the day sleeping in a bit. After animal chores I headed up to the train room. I finalized the interior, built the loading dock and attached 2 awnings. Tomorrow I'll figure out final placement on the layout. extend the lighting wiring and do some roof weathering.

Thank you to everyone for the photo likes yesterday.

Bigfoot- Nice weathering on the barrels.

Bill- Another nice photo. I really like the arrow design.

Troy- If Mom says it's OK.... The meat looks awesome.

David- We don't celebrate the made-up holiday.

TomO- Those kinds of prices are everywhere. I remember the days when FF workers were kids and not someone's career.

Guy- Thank you. That looks like a fiddly kit to build.

Sherrel- I wish you all the best.

Willie- Great layout scenes.

The platform underframe.
