Chad- That's a lot of snow.
You're telling me
They say we got about 18" but drifts make it much deeper in some area, and in some areas a lot ess.
I finally made it up to our house construction early evening, around 5:30pm. I spent about 2 hours shoveliungt it out and got a path up the driveway some and over to a door and along a wall for a while inside the main floor. Slow going as I had to walk each shovel back out to the garage and then to the front of the house area to dump it.
The "Honey Bucket" port-a-potty was inundated. The spring that keeps the door close popped out and was lost a few months ago and their weekly service people have not done anything about it... I need to call them and complain
When I had not gotten much shoveled yet (and blown drifts against the wall make it more than 2 feet or 2 1/2 feet):
More of the floor. The darker ones were later and after I had shoveled to the door into the actual house. By the time I was done it was dark and had been for 30-45 minutes and so no pics of the progress inside.

It will be a few days before we can get to actual construction again. The guy and his son, who I hired to help and how we've made a ton of progress in the last 2 weeks, came down today and called and said there was not even any place to park (the city had only made one narrow pass with he plow as of now) and he said he would bring his skid loader tomorrow and clean up a space to park and clear the snow away from the house. I'll go up and shovel more and get my son to help and Saturday we'll probably be shoveling it all out. More snow is forecast next week but on scattered days and only 30-50% probability, without mention of accumulation. Hopefully it means just small dustings or an inch or whatever. Need to get back to actual work. This is pushing us a week behind or more and I want to get the main walls all done by end of March if possible so the rough roof (sheathing) can be put on and protect the insides from the weather...

On a totally different front I found out about a "new" DCC digital model railroad company based in Holland called "YaMoRC" -- "Yet another Model railroad Company". (yamorc.de) It was founded by an engineer who actually desinged and programmed all the DR4xxx and DR5xxx command centers and modules for Digikeijs, also a Dutch company (who are sold in the US by Iron Planet Hobbies -- the DR5000 command center, which I use is one of those). It turns out in 2019 this guy and Digikeijs parted ways and he went on and has made new stuff of his own. The physical looks are like the Digikeijs stuff. They have a few things available now but are releasing their own command center and a bunch of other stuff throughout 2023. I am excited to try out their command center as I expect it be like a DR5000 on steroids. Unfortunately they do not yet have a US distributor, which means I'll have to get it sent in from Europe (which is how I got my DR5000 and a few of my Digikeijs modules anyway, though the rest I got from Iron Planet Hobbies).
With my slow moving software project I am working on for iPhone and iPad and Mac (fancy smart throttle expanding to more DCC control app) I need to work with different command centers anyway so its an excuse and this new YD7100 (the DR5000 on steroids from all appearances) supports every protocol known to man so it is a good one to test against... (also an excuse to get a Z21 and the new ESU CabControl, made for US market command station

). After the house is done and moved in of course. I've not spent a lot of time on my project with the house project (though I do spend a few hours now and then as a distraction).
