Well, howdy there internet peeps, And those with Cosori Air Fryers

It's troy again.

Just noticed this pop-up in the FB feed. Now I gotta go look at the bottom of the air fryer:

Not in a hurry to get back to the kitchen. Today is a fasting day. No not for lent. Just for Troy's waistline. Been off of sugars cept for the evening glass of bourbon and the normal dietary sugar (pizzas and such). I've been skipping candies, cookies and the like. Today is black coffee only until at least 11 am.

Good crispy morning from Winter in So. Central Wisconsin. 12f degrees but feels like 3. Heading to low 20’s with diminishing winds per the Weather app.

Troy, thanks for the air fryer info. Looks like the one we have is recalled and the info needs to be filled out.

A Kohl’s run today to return some items Terry wanted. A stop at Michael’s and a possible stop at the truly LHS (4 miles). He is not the train store he was 4 months ago as he seems to be transitioning to plastic models. But the 30% off everything but Rapido and Genesis continues and there is an item of interest. Dinner is out today and after that we head to the Women’s hockey arena on the University of Wisconsin campus for conference playoffs. Hockey all weekend between the grandsons multiple games and being on campus. Also finishing up a few weathering projects to ship out Monday.

The play Jesus Christ Superstar last night was different as advertised. However energetic on stage the cast was for 90 minutes of non stop and no intermission the music lyrics sucked. The songs were song in a Rap style, which is fine. But take the marbles out of your mouth so I can understand the Words. overall a A+ for the dancing, D+ for words. Needless to say Terry had it even worst with her hearing issues.

enjoy the day

I sympathize with Terry for her issues with understanding lyrics. My wife is finally getting used to me asking her to translate. I have a terrible time with unfamiliar accents, or folks that talk fast.

And I love JCS! It's my all-time favorite musical. I've seen most incarnations that have hit our local traveling broadway circuit. But the rap style I would definitely pass on. It's not my style. Now hearing about hearing challenges with understanding the lyrics, when I know them by heart... yeah... I'll pass if it comes this way.

And I just checked our air fryer. Not a Cosori, and the model numbers don't line up. Yay. Still get onion rings!

I am still adjusting to Terry’s hearing issues and that’s tough for both of us. She accuses me sometimes that I am mocking her when I am not, she doesn’t hear the tonal aspect of conversations anymore.

Troy, I actually want to say if WITHOUT the marbles in the mouths of the singers I would have loved this version. I have seen JCS numerous times on Broadway, Chicago, Milwaukee and Wausau besides the 2 versions seen now in Madison. This one was different, the critic called it a darker version even though I didn’t think so. But, it was wonderfully fast paced but the singing…

Good Morning All. Partly cloudy and 38° here. Won't get above 50° for the next two days. Rain which was not in the forecast two hours ago, is now in, maybe because there seems to be some showing up on the radar all around. Small cells that may not even be hitting the ground.

Well the trip to Memphis has been postponed for two weeks as two of my cousins (late Aunt's children) cannot get there this weekend and the church is booked for the next one. Found out yesterday morning so we had time to cancel the reservations and re-book. What a hassle, although being honors members we didn't have to pay a cancellation fee.

Grocery store trek went as planned yesterday, nothing eventful. Prices stable and I am beginning to know where everything is now that they are done with re-arranging the parts of the store that I use. They're not done, but the parts that are remaining are areas that I don't use anyway, like household goods, hygiene items, (both from Dollar General for me), bottled water, energy drinks, pet food, and the promotional aisles. Gasoline citywide has drastically come down to $2.79/gallon, even at the corporate owned Exxon type stations.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I put another Logan Valley structure on the workbench, this one is Augie's Ag Sales. Chet only finished part of this structure because of the viewing angle on his layout didn't require it, and as he has posted before, he hates painting windows.
IMG_3072.JPG

So I started by finishing off the back and side windows. I was able to match the paint exactly.
IMG_3077.JPG

Some light touch up is still needed now that I look at all too revealing photos! I also added a foundation and a sidewalk out front.
IMG_3073.JPG

Since I plan to add figures and details like grain sacks, I extended the sidewalk inside to place them on.
IMG_3074.JPG

I even got as far as painting the sidewalk.
IMG_3079.JPG

Today is adding some roof details like plumbing vent pipes and an access hatch, along with the interior stuff and figures on the sidewalk.

Troy - Some rather colorful cars that you got. Now to get the layout rebuilt.
Todd -
Yup, except for fish and NY style sausage; almost everything white has carbs ... bread, pasta, tortilla's, rice ... etc
Try some Cauliflower. It's white with no carbs. We mash it like potatoes, steam it, make casseroles, roast it and eat it raw in several ways.
Tom O - Your Jesus Christ Superstar adventure reminds me of a Doors concert that I attended in 1970 or early '71. Surprised that I can still remember it! The music was rather good, but Jim Morrison was so drunk that he couldn't remember half of the words and kept stumbling to his knees to the point that the roadies had to help him up. He stacked 18 empty beer cans, that he consumed during the performance[?], up on the front of the stage during the show before crashing through them into the orchestra pit for a finale. I did get my money back after waiting in line for 45 minutes. Back then, concert tickets were just $2.50.

Everyone have a great day and an awesome weekend.

Wow. We had gotten down to $3.0x (a few random dipped below) and then it started shooting up. A dime or so every week or so. Got to $3.79 and has dropped slowly to $3.72 as the normal/average price... Been staying there steady for over a week.

Wish we had sub $3 gas.

And I like it raw on a veggie plate. It works some of the time...
I make a raw cauliflower/broccoli salad with florets of each combined with chopped onion, with a mayonnaise/sugar/cider vinegar dressing and topped with cooked bacon bits, Cheddar cheese and roasted sunflower seeds. Raisins can also be added as a topping. There's almost as many ways to use cauliflower as there are ways to use potatoes.

Good morning all,

Chilly start to the day at 16 degrees, but going up in the mid 30s later. Going to be 50s for the weekend. Got to love Illinois weather.

Wife and I are getting the house ready. My daughter is having a birthday sleep over tonight. 9-12yr old girls will be running around from 5pm tonight till 10am tomorrow, Not looking forward to it, but she is so i guess that's fine. Going to be a good night to shelter in the basement and be out of sight.

Catch ya all later!

After your elevator build, this will be cake! 🤣
Should be ok, have to scratch build a stand for the equipment first. I started the the LNER signal box while I was waiting for the lamps for the tank depot which arrived this morning.

Although I'm doing very little today as I fell off the stepladder this morning while fixing a roller blind, so I'm a little on the sore side, maybe tomorrow.

Sorry to hear that! Hope it was a minor spill and nothing serious.
