Oh, had a thought. Maybe the powers that be wondered: Since China gave us Covid using her people, what could be inside the balloon besides the lighter than air stuff and decided to wait until it was outside the USofA cuz the jet stream was moving East. That balloon was huge!

TomO - sounds as though you are on the down side of your cold.
Terry - I thought I was the only one to do that. But in my defense, I was working a lot of swing shifts at the time. At least I realized before clocking in, so no one was the wiser.
Willie - That is quite a layout there. If it's a club, and close (close is a relative word in TX) you might consider joining.
Troy - I tried working in my PJ's, but they sent me home.
Sherrell- You lost and engine? Bet that made your a$$ grab the seat. Did they take it out of your paycheck?

Good morning. 32 degrees and sunny this morning. I was discharged from the hospital at 1745 last night. I had to hang out until they read the latest Echo, and EKG. My procedure went well. I quickly healed, although I'm restricted for two weeks. I have removed / or had removed all fo the bandagesfrom my arms, neck and groin...The procedure was painless, the after effect is I feel like I was run over by a truck. That will all get better. I return to the hospital for a check one month from tomorrow, then again a year later. (and I imagine, every year after that). Going up for a shower, and will chat later. Thanks again for all the prayers and good wishes.

Glad all went well and your feeling better.

Perhaps the were studying the tech on the balloons (plural...) this isn't the first one. Looks like it was at least the fourth fifth in the last 6 years... And, it passed through Canadian airspace between the Aleutians and Montana.

Afternoon All,

Started out the day with a walk at 56F. It was supposed to rain all day, but we haven't received a drop all day. I did several Honey Do's then ran some errands. I have to run up to Jon's tomorrow to pick up my kit directions around 10 am.

Chet- Unfortunately I don't have a central site. I've been posting photos on this site. Sorry. I should do a video.

Karl- Nice setup.

George- Interesting. They were a great comedy team.

Willie- Great photos. I think the government left the balloon alone so that the non-stop news coverage could work up anger against China. Not that I have any love for communist China.

The balloon is popped. I wonder how long the Chinese would have waited to take a balloon down crossing their Covid infested country?

Not long, they don't care who gets killed by the debris. They will lie about it anyway.

I heard a defense expert from the Bush administration say balloons are long outdated technology for spying. Satellites can do much more.
I think it was the Chinese military trying to tick us off. Thier military doesn't want better relations. I wonder how much control the new chairmen Mao really has.
Makes sense to me, at first, they said nothing. Later they came up with the weather balloon story.
Who knows, I for one don't much care. I trust the Defense Department.

It was 14f Saturday morning. My body was ok. My hands were telling me "Go back in the house!"

I went back in and never came out all day. My hands bothered me all day. Instead of getting my activity working for Amazon I put a turkey in the oven. Turkey for lunch!
