Morning troops! Dark and 45 degrees - the range today is 45-63 with variably cloudy.
Expected wetness with the "blue northern" on it's way starting tomorrow.

Karl: Good Job! Its gets better the more you do that. I found after my 3 pass I had balance issues. Doc wanted me to go to PT something like 3 times a week. Thought about it and asked what they would *make* me do. Boiled down to simple stuff to get the leg and back muscles back into shape. So, every morning stand on one leg and put on pants. Took about a week and I started not having to 'steady' myself. Note that left side was slower to come back than the right. Now days when I am queued in some check-out line, I alternate lifting one foot up and holding for a bit. Has helped a bunch. I am not quite ready to 'walk a top plate' as being 10ft off the ground worries me still. That is coming though as we think that new garage is this spring.

Good morning. It is dark out!
Here is the storm watch info, rescheduled already from what they were saying on Monday. Yesterday the prediction was 6-8” up to a possible 12” in isolated areas followed by 1/2” of ice on Thursday morning. That seems to be gone
I image the schools are terrified. They will be on virtual learning again because of a normal Winter storm coming to Wisconsin.
Here maybe one of these will put me in a better frame of mind! If I posted any of these before well then laugh again. This cleans out the folder!

Good Morning All!
37F @ 86%. Got to 48F about 1600 yesterday.
Well that planets have come out of alignment and stuff is (my) normal again.
Dishwasher has run 3 times now and the JB Weld seems to be holding stuff together.
Found the problem with the Fedora 36 loads. You ain't gonna believe this - boiled down to having a bluetooth keyboard/mouse connected. Funny thing is that I knew that in a previous life and have PS2 keyboard and Mouse just for this. Still don't understand why I got one loaded last week without problems though. Also, Nvidia does have Linux video drivers, no clue as to when they did those.
N900's are now operational and setup as 'bridges'.
Kokanie is still brewed in St. Loius for the USofA and haven't made a road trip North. So THAT did not get fixed.
So, today is clean up the 'frustration' mess and get back to the Laser Cutter. Also have two 4TB Buffalo NAS's that need setup and config. Won't let the girls store stuff on MY servers. Not worried about security, it boils down to the size of those Pix folders they have. Dau has 100G of camera pix that I know about and who knows about mp4's, Wife not so much ... yet. When I start scanning chemical pix, I will use quite a bit of space cuz they are scanned as TIFF. Will keep the original scans on the NAS, then reduce them to something more usable for the web server. Space hog, but easier to deal with when it comes to doing Magik on them.

Morning all,
I'll play catchup in a bit. Currently 37° and clear with a high later of 65°. Tomorrow a high of 72° and Thursday a high of 36°.
Spent most of last week working on getting email services back up after the system just nose dived. Finally got things back online Saturday afternoon. I had 2 days off and the wife said no computers. Turns out my lack of space issue was having log files (that don't delete when they're backed up) since the day I stood the server up nearly 7 years ago. Once I deleted 6 years worth of log files (and gained 750Gb of disk space), email magically started working properly. Within the next month we're moving off the server to the cloud anyway. I never knew about those logs and just kept adding space to the drive until I maxx'ed out the 2Tb limit of the Windows server (2012r2 for those that know). Since my drives and machines are virtual, it is pretty easy to add space. At least the newer server versions (2016+) can handle larger drives.
Spent my 2 days off (Sunday and yesterday) dealing with stuff that has kind of slipped during the past month or so. We took all 4 grandkids to the circus on Sunday. Got discount and free tickets, but still spent tons at the circus. The girls each got a light up wand or fan, but not the grandson. Being almost 13 he said It would just go in a drawer. So when we bought the circus activity books (coloring and connect the dot books) they announced that if your book and a mark on the first page you could come down and get a prize, so only one of the books had the mark, so he got it. A pink plastic dinosaur keyring. He's still making jokes about it as he was handed it and didn't pick it. He keeps asking his uncle to guess what he's getting for his birthday. His uncle collects keychains....
Today SHOULD be quieter.

Good Morning All. Happy Fat Tuesday. Here it's partly cloudy and 60°, heading up to 86° this afternoon after just 83° yesterday. Thunderstorms will cool things off a slight bit tomorrow, they are giving it a 100% chance around daybreak. More thunderstorms Friday through Sunday, when I expect to be on the road!
The only really cool day here will be Friday.
Thanks to all for all of the condolences on the passing of my Aunt. She made the decision to meet her maker when she refused all medical treatment upon admittance to the hospital last Friday. I'll be in Memphis TN for a few days for the Celebration of Life beginning with the wake Friday night and services/burial Saturday. Then party some more and drive back home Sunday. Depending on the route (there's three of them) that I take, it's between 7 and 8 hours to get there. I'll shoot for 6.5 hours!
Started the day yesterday, taking my armadillo pest up the road towards Oklahoma; released it in a hilly wooded area where a creek runs nearly 10 months of the year. It should be happy there. Took longer than expected since the road was in really bad shape.
Out in the train shed yesterday, I started on another Logan Valley structure, this one is the Gateway Cafe. Many pieces and figures on the inside came loose on the trip down to here.
This is a great little structure, completely scratchbuilt by Chet. Some of the details inside are superb, like this radio and telephone.
Likewise, the pot-bellied stove.
I should retake these two pictures using the tripod instead of my moving hand.
One neat thing about this cafe is the large front windows that allow an unobstructed view inside.
Besides getting everyone upright, I added five more figures to the inside including Flo.
More pictures later.
Gary - Our growing season definitely doesn't overlap with yours much. Mine is split, February - June, and September - December.
Mike - Welcome back to the Coffee Shop and the hobby. Beautiful dog.
Dennis - I hate it when that happens. Something so obvious that I miss!

Add a few bits of mashed taters sliding down people's faces, roast beef and gravey on the walls... Andy and Opie, fishing poles in hand coming up the alley. Perfect scene.
