Good Morning All, from a pissed off Firefox user. Partly cloudy and 53°, heading into the 70's and 80's for the rest of the week. All chance of precipitation has been removed from our 10 day forecast.
Firefox updated last night and I have a five sentence error message. It's followed by a shorter message of "Couldn't load XPCOM". I'm using Chrome right now, no problem there, but all of my bookmarks and passwords are on Firefox. Some I can remember like the one for this forum which hasn't changed in 14 years, but there are a lot of others. I have my bookmark file from Firefox saved on an external drive, but haven't taken the time to see if Chrome will accept it. And yes, I have restarted my computer twice to ensure that everything downloaded correctly.
Slow day around the SFW estate yesterday. I even folded the laundry which is usually my wife's chore. Like
Mike, I also had to test the Christmas cookies. Yesterday it was Kolacky and sugar cookies. The peanut butter and chocolate fudge hasn't been cut yet. Given this wonderful weather, I grilled a Ribeye steak out on the charcoal last night. Mushrooms cooked in a butter/wine sauce, garden salad and French fries rounded out the meal. I do like to grill over charcoal and I have done it many times with snow on the porch. Any weather except rain. If I'd ever get off my ass and put up a roof over the back porch, I could even grill then.
Today will be a repeat of yesterday, although I may try some strenuous stuff and test out my surgery incisions. They seem healed but the bruises are still there. Wife will be going shopping this morning for wrapping paper, since most of ours is in the attic and I am still not going up there yet. No ladders for at least another week or so.
Short day out in the train shed yesterday, as are most all Sundays. I got my next car out for the "Ten Days of Christmas" event, Another boxcar from the Athearn RTR series; this time one from Southern Pacific.

This one like the one the other day, traces it's lineage back to the Details West tooling that Athearn acquired in the 2000's. If you've been in the hobby long, you would recognize the underbody as theirs and not Athearns.

Other detailing has also been upgraded.

It passed all of the inspection process well, although it is about 1/2 oz light. Didn't have time yesterday to see if I could remove the body to add a few pennies. Athearn tended to glue the bodies on their RTR equipment.
Kusojiji - Hope that you get the tooth fixed soon.
Terry - I've been hit with the expiring warranty, on my hearing aids, not the phone. It expired 10 days before I had to have one of mine sent into the shop for repair. That was in September, and now the other needs to go in. I'm holding off until after the first of the year because it still works partially and I need it for the holidays and medical stuff. They keep it for a minimum of 3 weeks even though they say 10 days. It is no longer Blue-tooth enabled and I can't change any settings like volume! Another bunch of $$$ headed out the window.
Maybe you could squeeze the connector with needle-nosed pliers like we do for rail joiners!
Troy - Best of luck with the newest book.
No birthdays of note today, except my next oldest brother is 69 today. Another brother is later this month and I am right after the first of the year. Three birthdays and Christmas in a 2 week period always meant that I was the forgotten one when I was growing up.
Everyone have a great Sunday.
