Good morning!

CLOVER LEAF TStL&W (later NKP)

An odd happening over the weekend. I finished weathering 3 diesels for a first time commission. The client received the in progress pictures as I moved along and I received his approvals. The 6-8 week lead time is at 6 weeks this week and he has known I planned to ship this week. He asked Saturday if I would ship them out and he’d pay in January. That’s a big no! He is an angry person when he doesn’t get his way and I could literally feel the venom in his text messages. I saved all communications with this guy so when he files a claim with PayPal of some made up excuse I have proof of whatever he’s trying to pull. It’s been a strange last 3-4 months of weathering. I understand the economy is bad for the working person but this one takes top prize so far. He offered no reasons other then mail them now and I’ll pay later…
I don't blame up since your policy is known up front.

Tell him:

Good morning folks,

Unseasonably warm forecast for the next several days, not good news for the two local ski areas (Big Sky & Bridger Bowl). I think about the only real snow cover at both areas is what they have manufactured and that doesn't work well with above freezing temperatures.

My wife has a dentist appointment this morning so I will be wasting it.

Good morning,

Was supposed to take the dog to the vet for her spaying. Got a call at the last minute earlier this morning that the Vet was sick, and the surgery would have to be rescheduled till the 28th. I was really hoping to get this done and have the cone off by Christmas, but what are you going to do.

Started the morning out sunny, but has since clouded over, and now is very gray out.

Suppose I could go to the basement and wire up some feeders. My least favorite thing to do, but once that is done i can move sub-roadbed down the line. I had a goal to have the mainline complete by New years, but I dont think i will meet that. Should be really close. Just want to finally be able to run a unit train around the entire layout.

Have a safe day all!

Good morning from So. Central Wisconsin. Sunrise is at 7:12 or about 29 minutes from when I started typing this. High 39f degrees which will melt the slushy white stuff on the non road surfaces. Too dark yet and the clouds are blocking out the moon but this feels like the start of a gloomy day.

Post office run at 8, then groceries and a fill up at the gas station. ⛽️ We saw a price range of $2.79 to 2.99 per gallon on the drive to and returning from campus yesterday. Gas for me will be $.01 per gallon due to fuel saver rewards from the grocery. I already have over $4.00 per gallon in rewards so there will be a carry over of rewards beyond the $2.99 per gallon pump price. I will fill my car and the daughter’s SUV up to a total of 25 gallons. Probably 11 gallons for me and 14 for her.

The Badger women hockey lost 2-3 yesterday and were just out played. But dinner out after was great.

"Ship on payment" is how mail order works.

Well I would NOT ship until $$$$ is in hand period! Simple as that. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior in my humble opinion. Good luck TomO.....if he refuses to pay you I would sell it lol that's me though, to get my "return" for the work.

Good morning, all! A pleasant 60 degrees with lots of sun and a slight northerly breeze. Heading to low 70's. Today's agenda, a trip to the UPS store to ship some return items and then a mini grocery trip. If all goes well, I'll get some train time later.

Willie - Yes that was another AI image. It is real amazing what comes out from it. The more descriptive you are the better.

Create a realistic image of an abandoned train station.
Add an old passenger train.
Add some abandoned railroad track.
Make the scene in Autumn.

I can entertain myself for hours with it

STAY SAFE

Afternoon All,

Started out the day sleeping in. Temps in the 70's today but cooling down tonight with low's in the 50's tomorrow. Joy. Today I did laundry and chores. In the train room I made 2 false floors and painted them for the 44 Tonner. The diesel is supposed to arrive today and the Tichy order tomorrow so I should be back if full swing tomorrow.

I normally don't pack away my shorts but in 30, 40, or 50F temps I wear pants. Thin blood.

Hughie- Neat AI pictures.

Airbrush05- Beautiful cars.

TomO- I gave up on the NFL when they thought their opinions mattered because they are athletes. I only watch college FB and then only my 3 teams (Navy, UCF, UF). I don't support FSU, but they got robbed. Like you, pay me then I will ship. Too many scammers out there.

Terry Nice looking loco.

Willie- You are a decorating maniac! :D

Bill- Interesting photo.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those refusing to ship until paid.

it's Troy again.

Finished up the main online course I'd been taking about how to market the online store for my ebooks. Still have some sections to revisit, and a few that I doubt I'll get to. EG: SMS (Text) marketing. It may work on younger readers, by my demographic for readers is 40+, mostly women. Not sure they want to get texts. Especially about snarky talking cats solving mysteries.

Hmmmm. I may write a story about a text marketer who gets done in by the entire town as they're sick of his marketing. ;)

Wife came down and wanted to go shopping. We're gearing up to replace all of the 1970s slab doors inside the condo with 6 panel ones. I'll get a new palm router out of the work I have to do, since we're only replacing the doors, not the frames. So I have to route out the hinge sections.

We looked and priced, and she setteled on the almost cheapest. As long as the knob hole and strikers for the latches like up, I'll be good to get the pre-drilled doors.

after that we headed to the craft store so she could buy more paint. She's still got 7 of those canvases!

Even with a $15 voucher, we eneded up spending $45.

Then she had to stop at Kohls (clothing store) and use up another voucher... I sat in the car and read facebook. Told her an email came through for a free bloomin' onion at Outback steakhouse, and I'd earned it.

So the left over pizza will be lunch tomorrow.

Back home, I spent time, glue orcs to the bases. Still need to do some sceneic cement and grout mix around their feet to cover the glue bonds. Might add a banner on a pole or two.

orcs.jpg

speaking of orcs, I've got about 8 of them printing on the 3D resin right now. I was a few bodies shy of making the other three bases look full. So adding some kick-butt lady orcs. They've all got swords or big axes, so you'd better call then Ladies!
:)

Good Evening: 41° and partly cloudy, headed for 32°. That word is in the forecast for tomorrow night. It's unlikely, but like the "Slight Chance of a Thunder Shower", in the summer, they put it in, just in case. If it does, they're covered.
Tom O: You are right. Stick with your original terms.
Numerous small chores completed today...I am close to completing a "Powerhouse", using parts left over from recent builds. Needs trim and fascia, as well as flashing on the roof, and of course some level of weathering. It's purpose will be to provide steam to the Scott Paper Plant Complex. Photos tomorrow.
Tomorrow, we go to my Pulmonary Doctor, then a stop at ShopRite...
I did rake up the leaves from the adjacent property's huge Pine Oak tree. Always waits until the yards are clear before dropping. I have the largest pile of leaves on the block...or at least it seems that way. Most are from my back where my trees are. Took the wife and myself about 20" with two rakes. Did I mention, I hate leaves?

Good morning, Everybody!

No work for me today. My activity will be Christmas Trees, Trains and More. I have much to do before everything is finished.

Once everything is complete and the boxes put away, I will post photos in the thread Christmas Trees, Trains and More. Don't hold your breath, I'm moving slow, as usual.

I would appreciate any Christmas photos or stories you would like to share in the thread Christmas Trees, Trains and More.

Have a great day Everybody!

PS Did I mention the thread Christmas Trees, Trains and More? 🤪
