Afternoon All,

Made it home about an hour ago. Finally sitting down drinking a cup of coffee. I had a great time at the Prototype Rails show. I have about 6 ideas to look at for additional details for the layout that I had not thought about before.

I will post later. Trying to get through all my messages and boards that I have not been on for 3 days.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Sorry about you tem Louis. Maybe next year.

33 degrees and light snow this morning. I haven't been on here much because I have been busy down in the train room trying to get more work done on the last town. Got some more gorund cover down and now have to wait for glue to dry. I'll post some more pictures in my layout expansion thread.

Still a lot of work to be done, but I have made more progress in the past few weeks than expected. I guess when things start coming together, it gives you a bit of inspiration.

Louis, I know all about disappointment with sports teams............Cubs. I don't think I need to say anymore.

Montanan, it looks like you've got a bustling city started there..........looks great!

We'll .. Howdy Y'All!
56 degrees and a nice steady light rain for the past 7 hours. Great! We need all we can grab this time of year.
TOTAL loss of all TV, internet, and telephone last night about the half time of the Seattle/Carolina game.
Have tried all the unplugging, reset, and reboots available .. Nothing works. I am using internet at my wife's mothers home. Have to try and talk to Verizon after the Packers/Cowboys game. I am not happy! Packers are behind- darn it all!

I have a feeling that system may be down for several days. Forgot how quite it can be in the house.
It's terrible!

Good afternoon folks.

I've been doing a whole lot of nothing today! I've managed to eat lunch and am now smelling BBQ ribs cooking in the oven for supper. I usually finish them on the grill but I don't feel like shoveling the deck to do it!

I have been hand painting all of the stone detail on the Walthers Milwaukee Brewery kit. Holy cow is that a lot of stone detail! I was going to leave it brick colored just to be lazy but then thought about how ornate old breweries were. Needless to say, I'll have some touch up work to do in the brick color where I went "outside the lines". I'm excited to see how this looks on the layout. I just need to make sure that I don't hurry. I tend to do that with kits.

That's all I have for now.
Have a good night everyone.

The mid-train "slaves" on this coal train kicked out after a slack run-in, resulting in a quite a pile up in 1968 on Southern's Appalachia Division.

Howdy. We are having a good vacation in Orlando. It was 85 degrees today

Montanan.... I like the NP passenger train photos

Cheers!

85????? I have to go and dig out the grill on the back porch out of the snow so we can have dinner. 29 degrees and still snowing.

Evening All,

Had spaghetti for supper. I haven't accomplished much today after sitting down. Sooo based on that there isn't much to talk about.

I did get hold of Garry this afternoon and Phil and I are going to meet him by his hotel Tuesday for coffee. Tomorrow night I have a RR museum meeting to attend, and MOH and I are thinking of driving to Sarasota. MOH will go to a quilt shop there that she likes and I will go to a train store that I like that's about 1.5 miles from the quilt shop. Talk about win-win.

I hope everyone has a good night.

IN MEMORIAM - JEFFREY WIMBERLY

Hey Louis,

Noticed where you said about "friendly ribbing" in sport. In Cricket they call that Sledging and it ain't friendly. ('course it wouldn't "be Cricket" to actually hit someone with a bat) mind you the kind of ribbing they do in ice hockey with the handle of a club isn't either.

Hey King Toot!

I will never understand why people go so upset over sports. It's a game, yes it is big money, but it's just a game.

Almost like our trains, no matter how much they cost they are toys, but passion runs high in our hobby too!

Speaking of hockey, I always watch Olympic hockey and it's great, but professional hockey needs to take out the fighting, that makes me turn off the games. It sets a bad example for our young people, violence is never the solution.

Rodney has been schooling me on cricket and I really respect the players of that marathon of a game.

Now I understand how the word cricket came to describe fair play and I know what 6 is now!

Aaaah.....that entertaining sport, where a bit of hockey breaks out on occasion...

Louis, I'll understand the works of the female mind, before I understand cricket! lol
