My late sister told me "every time I hear that song I think of you, so I bought the CD" She had the highest integrity of anyone I ever knew. Thank you God for my sister 50 years was not enough, but more then I could ask for.
Nice Guitar - Gretsch is a good make as well. Are you still learning or are you past that stage?
I have a Semi-Acoustic Dean, Epiphone Les Paul Special and an Ibanez Long Neck Bass, can't recall the model of hand. None of which I have touched in so long. Also have a Yamaha Keyboard which I also haven't touched in forever Ohh the memories ......
I think your right about it being a "mood thing" too. I hate loud noises BUT when I'm by myself on a good drive, I am sometimes tempted to up the volume of a Bon Jovi or U2 or Pink Floyd or even the occasional ACDC or, what for it ....... "Gun's and Roses's"
Louis,
I don't get in here too often - not sure why really as there is no reason for why I shouldn't.
Still learning young man, I don't always get along with my fingers, they're sometimes in a 'we're having none of that!' mood....
Working in a warehouse without heating, probably doesn't help....lol

Interesting you should mention that Louis! I too lost a sister, two years ago at age 56. Definitely not the same as losing an aged parent. It seemed so unnatural, being a pallbearer for my little sister.
Good morning. It's 26 with freezing fog. I successfully outmaneuvered the moron drivers on the road yesterday, both ways. Even the woman driving 25 mph in the fast lane on the freeway while holding a cell phone to her ear.

Ken that must have been very hard. My sister was older then me, more a mother to me then my own mother. A great example to follow, even though I seldom did until my first child was born. I believe they are always with us.

The other drivers are always more dangerous then the road conditions.
I imagine your state has laws against using a cell phone when driving like my state does. The trouble with laws is the same as the problem with locks, they only obeyed by honest people.
Morning all. Fourteen above and no moron drivers to avoid on the way to work a 5:30 AM, just deer. They sure are stupid. I enjoyed the car talk yesterday. Thankfully cars are my hobby and for the most part I am equipped to do a lot of work on them. I even have a number of programs on a laptop for diagnosis for new cars. Some shops sure can rip you off. A number of times I have had friends stop by and ask for a second opinion and they did find out that they were being taken advantage of by a mechanic or shop.
Moron talking on a cell phone huh. Wait until more and more cars are on the road with the touch screen feature that is now on just about all new cars. I have a number of friends who have vehicles equipped with these and they do admit that they are a distraction and a few also admitted that they had a few close calls because they were trying to navigate through the screen instead of watching the road.
I was in the market for a new car a while back, with cash in my hand but ended up refusing to buy anything with a lot of the features (electronic toys) that are now on just about all new cars. Don't need On-Star, don't need SYNC, don't need (or want) a touch screen. Buttons knobs and switches are just fine with me. When riding with friends who had a new Ford Explorer I was quite amused when thay were having an argument with their not so good voice recognition system. I don't even like to use a cell phone while driving and in fact turn it off before I get into my car. Guess I don't need blue tooth either.
With many of these features being shoved down that buyers throat without even giving them a choice I guess I am effectively out of the new car market as I refuse to pay for these features that I don't want or need. Thankfully I have over a dozen vehicles at my disposal with the various classic cars I have so I don't need to walk.
I'll agree with that. There's so much unnecessary crap that cat makers are putting into new cars the the buyer has no choice in and it is just driving up the price. I do like some of the new technology such as anti lock brakes and stability control, but do I need Wi Fi in my car, absolutely not.
Thanks Milwaukee, not sure if your referring to the guitars or the music - either way, appreciate it. My fingers also tend to do their own thing as well, hence my also getting into bass. However, they also have a way of messing that up as well. Next instrument - a stick with one string! Lets see em screw with that!
Ahh whats the use, they will probably find a way just to annoy me

Milwaukee, most vehicles now a days, you know the plastic and re-cycled coke ones, are made to last reliably ?) around 5 years and not much longer. I have three vehicles, an 84, 97 and a 2004. Guess which one gives me the most trouble.
Chet, your not buying a car any more, your buying a "thing", the making of being dictated by people who can't survive if they are unable to achieve or do something by just pressing the touch screen of something. The "car part", the bit that gets us from Point A to Point B and the original purpose of a car, is only an added extra
Remember when every car had an ash tray in it? Now, you have to pay extra if yu want one, if you can even get one. The car bit of these grossly over priced tin cans will soon follow that ideology. You go to your local "Hi Tech Hi Priced store, buy a GPS, Wi Fi System - Back up Camera, Parking Assist (cos most people now a days can't drive - and shouldn't) along with all the other techy garbage and, just as you go to pay for all of toys and as an after thought - you'll ask for it to be able to move from point a to point b, the car bit.
