I've been puzzled by this. Most of you seem to eschew (I love that word!) magnetic uncouplers, and use swizzle sticks or whatever to manually uncouple. I have this vision of someone moving a train into place, walking or reaching over to uncouple, going back to the controls to move the engine to another position, walking back to manually in couple a couple of more cars, then back to the controls, then...

This is fun?

This signature is intended to irritate people.

Frankly, I prefer the little bamboo skewers for uncoupling. Very easy once you get "the tough". But I don't eschew them,,,cuz then I get splinters in my gums!

Hiya gang!

Sherrel
, great news! I knew you'd be alright, cuz the Devil don't want ya and the Lord ain't ready for ya!

Terry, Keeping you neice on the "list"

Big E. I don't see why you cant get away with 2x2 or 1x3 for legs, unless you are climbing on it!

I'm back in selling mode on eBay again. HERE if ya feel lucky!

Here we go again...
Last week, I ordered a decoder for one of my fellow club members.
USPS says it was delivered today.
There was a bunch of stuff shoved intonour mailbox, but no decoder.
Guess who will be getting a call from me in the morning?...

Rut roh!

Didn't realize just how weak I really was/am until I got home. Felt dizzy a couple times - then had a dull, but sort of painful hurt near where they worked internally. Over the next two months, I have 4 appointsments with various teams-- risk of stroke very low -- some risk of paralysis will continue for a few months.

TERRY -- hope and pray that your family member gets the treatment she needs!

Beady -- that's really stepping up to the plate .. Bully for You!

ERIC Pulling for you- you have a long row to hoe!

s Phil says -- Prayers for all!

Sherrel... Glad you are home. Praying you have full recovery.
Curt... nice progress on the tower. Was the pink rabbit fired ?
Wllie ... watch out! Female ghosts are sneaky
Terry ... oh no ... USPS lost another package are they attempting g to set a record
beady.. sorry to hear about you MIL and hope she gets better . I used to spend a lot of time in Pontiac.

Good morning, the new job is 4 am to 4 pm., a small detail they did not care to disclose. Good thing about it is no traffic! IMG_0051.jpg

Good morning everyone. 73 here in SW MO, will hit 92 today - 90% humidity! Will be like this until Friday when it "cools" to upper 80's.

Sherrel - Prayers for complete and quick recovery
Dave - Are doughnut shops open that early?

Almost finished with our passenger station build. This kit has lots of details to paint and glue, so it's taking some time. Man I hate decals - I really stink at 'em. But got a few right on this one. Now mostly just need passengers and luggage to complete this thing. Will post a photo when it's on the layout.

Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning. It's 76° and clear. Expect 94° for a high today, just like yesterday.
Wow! Prayers for everyone...Sherrel and your recovery, Terry your niece's recovery and rehab if necessary, Eric of course, and Beady for your MIL (or best wishes).
Had an uneventful visit to the dental hygienist yesterday. By the time I got home, the dew had dried and I mowed very little, pool was too inviting. With the clear nights and mild winds of the last two days, the water temperature has dropped 3° to a more pleasant 86°. Still picking tomatoes, peppers and surprisingly, yellow squash.
Finally remembered to retrieve the chip from the camera yesterday while in the train shed. Here's a few pictures of the most recent build of a DPM structure called JC Nickels. It's set up to be a clothing store, but I haven't made any signage yet.

Next is one of the freight cars that I added graffiti and weathering to.

Chet - First time that I have seen the backside of the scrap yard fence. Looks good. Maybe you haven't gotten to it yet, but it needs a few weeds along the base if it's going to be visible.
Gene - Nice work on the caboose.
Sherrel - Hooray! There's no place like home.
Curt - Yes, the windows and doors on American Model Builders can be tedious and a real pain to assemble, but they are nicely detailed when finished, and with some forethought they can be modeled in any open position. They fall into that "love/hate" category for me. I counted ten of their structures on my layout yesterday.
Let me rotate my computer monitor back to the vertical position after viewing Curt's photo of the man relieving himself in the tower.
Terry - Nice shtuff for sale and good prices, but unfortunately out of my era and geographical range.
Johnny - Don't rush the build. Take your time and get it to your satisfaction. Don't ask how I know this!

Still wondering what has happened to David (Trussrod) and Justin. I hope that they are both OK.
Everybody have a great day.

Willie

Good morning. A nice cool one at 54 degrees. Didn't have to drag hoses around yesterday to move the rain birds as we had some pretty good thunderstorms move in dropping the temp from 87 to 66 degrees in about an hour and a half. Nice to sleep with the windows open and a fan pulling in the nice cool air.

Sherrel - Must feel fantastic to be home, but don't over do things. You had some major surgery done. Take care and take it easy.

Dave - Joe is right. 12 hour shifts. Hoping that you lake your new job.

Gene - Nice work on the caboose. Good impulse buy.

Terry - You seem to have the worst luck with the post office. What did you do to piss them off??? Must not be holding your mouth right.

Willie - Nice work on the building. The scrap yard will have wees along the fence. I came up a few panels short on the fence kit. Some day I'll get off my butt and ordar an additional kit and get the scrap yard done.

Later

Willie - I agree about taking time. This passenger station kit is the first structure I've really taken my time on and trying to get all the details right. So far I'm happy with the results.
Curt - that guy relieving himself in the tower - - the stream is going to run down the floor!! :)

Good morning ...

Dave B .... Your photo makes me think the small country grain elevators are being made obsolete with equipment like that.

Willie ...... I like your DPM building. I, too, hope we see Justin and David Trussrod here again soon.
