Good Morning Everyone. Thanks to
Chet and
Gary P for sending their weather this way. It's 12° and partly cloudy. Hard to believe that
Bruce's temperature is warmer than ours! Had to check the Weather Underground's closest station as it appears that the battery in my outdoor sensor has failed me. At least the wind has dropped off somewhat.
Mentioned last week that I went ahead and built another cardstock structure, this one from the Illinois Historical Preservation folks. This is the Home State Bank.

I need to go back and disguise those dotted lines which aren't visible to the naked eye on the layout.
I was in the picture taking mode yesterday and took a couple of the recently completed benchwork.

Still to come are shelves underneath to put all of the stuff on that is stacked in the corner right now. That is the end of the line on the lower level. I will be building a permanent workbench next to it in front of a 6' window, the entry door is next to the window. The upper level will continue over the workbench and there will be a removable "stoop-under" across the door at 54" high. It will be 5' away from the door, so it won't actually need to be removed too often. It will connect to the existing upper level layout on the other end to allow continuous running on that level. Temporarily out of 1/2" plywood to do the remainder, just haven't had the time to purchase it yet.
Gary P - Congratulations on the grandbaby.
Chet -
The city of Bozeman has got to have the worst snow removal program in the country.
You ain't been to Texas...
Justin - The scene is looking really good now.
Terry - Man! That black cloud just won't go away. Truck, dog and checkbook; all in one day.
Louis - OUCH! Watch out brother. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Curt - Those warning horn towers look great.
Bruce - Damn good advice regarding falling.
Eric - I see that the hair is finally going. You still look healthy though. Glad that I could get you interested in the cardstock/paper structures. I like them and have nine on the layout now, although a couple are in temporary locations. It takes some practice, but as I pointed out before, if you flub one up, you just re-print it and go at it again.
Well, I see that the cats have ventured forth from the barn for breakfast. They must have depleted Mother Nature's supply of natural foods, or they are saving some for later. Gotta go and feed them.
Everybody have a great day.
Willie
