Good afternoon Track Gang,
Hi Flo & Francine, Good to have the place open on such cold morning. At about 9:00 Am, when I looked at my indoor thermometer on the back porch it read 38 °F so the outside temp must have been about 28 °F! When I went outside and looked at my car it had large drops of water frozen on the hood and elsewhere with lots of frost to prove it was cold. Sure enough according to WW the low was 26 °F!
Their site now at 12:25 PM [Right all year round] or 12:55 Pm says:
Partly Cloudy 44.4 °F/ Feels Like 44 °F;
Winds are from West at 2.7 mph;
Today is forecast to be nearly the same temperature as yesterday.
Today
High 46 | Low 26 °F
0% Chance of Precip.
Yesterday
High 47.7 | Low 33.8 °F
Precip. 0.3 in (Radar Loop)

About the double post, which I deleted once I saw it, I don't recall seeing it yesterday evening when I posted so I don't know what happened ? ?
I never did get too much done on the layout yesterday and today so far I've been busy getting my fireplace going to produce some heat. Actually
it's time to check it again. Yep, move the logs around a bit.
Garry: Thanks, it's a little Loco brought out by Life Like and weighted fairly well too as well as having a large Can motor to it and has fairly good slow speed operation too. The engine was first brought out by the Sylvan-Line many years back, if I remember correctly? I still have the original metal Tea Kettle and the box it came in but I couldn't seem to locate the box for it for some reason?
As far as attaching a front coupler, I think I'm just going to bend a piece of heavy brass stock into semi-stair step as the coupler needs to be below the height of the beam supporting the cow catcher. I'll post a shot or two when I finish it. I also need to install a slight shim under the shank of the rear coupler to support it a bit more.
As far as the Air Pump I'm not even sure this loco actually had one but assume it did?
Say David: Thanks your comment about the pictures. Glad to hear there was a let-up in the Snow, that's what it feels like it might do here as it 36*
Sherrel: Thanks, for your comment, that shot did come out very good.
Say Terry in Wis.: Thanks for your comment, your shot look very good too!

Good evening ...
Chet ... The super market looks super with interior and all.
Curt .... I like the FM Switcher at the coal trestle.
David ... Your Tea Kettle looks like a fun engine to work with.
Karl ... Happy birthday to your other half. I bet you two are "Bonded" by now.
Chessie .... Your prgress with the new layout is impressive.

After hearing all the advertisements, I'm thinking of getting a life alert bracelet. I will be alerted promptly if I get a life !![]()

Good morning, 30 and light snow. Cloudy again, and the ground is still mostly green/brown (as opposed to white, which is usually the case.)
Lots of nice photos posted yesterday ( and today)!!
by the way, what is CRS?

46 and clear .. Expected high today around 66.
We had close to 1/2 inch of rain last evening .. That makes almost ONE inch total this month!
Chet. Your photos just get better all the time. The old Athern is a great looking machine - the paint/decal work is awesome!
David. Great looking little loco and track work.
Garry. Love the dozer, grader, and Diamond T, or Rio dump truck. Reminds me of growing up back home.
Sherrel: Thanks, for your comment, that shot did come out very good.
Well. A crappy day. 30 and sleet/ice/rain and very windy!! Plan today was to install a countertop so I can invoice the client for the final payment on a kitchen remodel. Go out to the truck. Battery decided this would be a perfect time to take a dump. Put the charger on it , got truck started. Decided not to chance the 20 mile trip into town for a new one, I'll deal with it tomorrow. Wife said the roads suck anyway. I have a feeling when I go out later it's not gonna start. Plus I'm pretty much soaked. Oh, well.
Down to the train room I guess. Sometimes it's good to be the boss.
Those are some great photos, guys!!
Hang in there, NG! It don't mean nothing as my older brother says.
How's the eye today ,E?
Sorry 'bout yer cowboys, Willie. I thought Dez was really gonna torch our secondary.
See you later!!
