One that only requires one feeder for 500 feet of track! LOL..LOL..BAAHAAAA!

With good connections and clean track you could theoretically go even further than 500 feet. Time to reach for the calculator...

Nickel silver, Mailechort, German silver,[SUP][1][/SUP] Argentan,[SUP][1][/SUP] new silver,[SUP][1][/SUP] nickel brass,[SUP][2][/SUP] albata,[SUP][3][/SUP] alpacca,[SUP][4][/SUP] or electrum[SUP][5][/SUP] is a copper alloy with nickel and often zinc. The usual formulation is 60% copper, 20% nickel and 20% zinc.[SUP][6][/SUP] Nickel silver is named for its silvery appearance, but it contains no elemental silver unless plated. The name "German silver" refers to its development by 19th-century German metalworkers in imitation of the Chinese alloy known as paktong (cupronickel).[SUP][7][/SUP][SUP][8][/SUP] All modern, commercially important nickel silvers (such as those standardized under ASTM B122) contain significant amounts of zinc, and are sometimes considered a subset of brass.[SUP][9] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nickel_silver[/SUP]

Let us see ... It's 2 am in the Eastern part of the country. I'll get the coffee going today - just don't disturb me as I am going to grab a few winks of sleep before the festivities start.

It's 55 and clear - expected to be 76 and clear tomorrow.

I wish all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

God Bless us Everyone!

Happy Thanks Giving to all!

The weather here in Coarsegold, Calif., is getting down right Nippy. No snow but fairly moist and cold!

As a thought, "I have never seen any running Bear's at Jeffery Running Bears' Dinner"! Has anyone else seen them?

It seems like I finally got the leaks fixed on the garden tractor dump trailer as well as the two front tires of the tractor using
Green Slim to seal the leaks. So now my next project will be to move the tractor out of 10' x 12' building which is also loaded with other tractor implements so I can pull the starter off it and replace the Bendix gear. Then I need to get another Battery for it so I can start mowing and hauling the trailer around to cut a lot of small low hanging Oak branches and some brush. It sure will be great to be able to ride the tractor to mow approximately 3 acres of ground with rather than trying to do it with the weed eater.

I also need to start cutting Oak fire wood to burn as I have about 6 or 8 dead trees on my place to cut down within fairly easy access which is lucky. I also need to attach the chain saw file sharpener and pass it over the teeth again but I think most of them are fairly sharp but I might a well get them all sharp and even for a good cut.

Oh, I playing catch-up so I went back to page 10 to start.

Afternoon All,

Did a bunch of cleaning jobs this morning, but at least my son was here to help. All I have left is to sweep the floor tomorrow. I will probably be out tomorrow so HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone and I will be back on Friday.

CA Dave- Thanks for the idea.

I hope everyone has a good day.

[Curt:] Your very welcome. So you other folks know what he's referring too, I sent him a text, yesterday I think, as I knew I'd be late posting, as I am. I suggested that instead of him putting in an on/off switch he should just put a small rheostat in the positive line so he could adjust the brightness a he desires. That's his objective after all!

Good morning fellers. I have been busy trying to find a way to get the steps to my coal camp house built. Solution. Small pliers, my file, and a strip of masking tape.

These things collapsed on me yesterday. I was quite furious. Ofcourse my painting didn't work out either. Yesterday was rough! Today is a little better.

Say Justim: That's a fairly good way to do that. Double sided tape works best stuck to a hard flat surface. Your steps turned out very nice. I think I used to paint them a light earth color on the treads and then dry brush on some darker earth color to show use. You can use the darker earth color with a Dry Brusy Method. DBM = apply a bit of the dark earth and pass your flat bristled brush over some paper to soak most of the paint off of it and then pass is over the step treads where you want to show foot prints from use.

Grumpy's fine, she just went to bed!:rolleyes:

Say Karl: You'd better hope she doesn't read your post!

Good morning, all (G'day, Toot)! It's 48, cloudy, and - oh, those pumpkin spice doughnuts smell great - I'll have a couple of those and a big mug o' coffee, thank you. heading for upper 50's today - tomorrow showers, but the rest of the week will be sunny and upper 50's. Looking good for Thanksgiving day.

Ray - Only picnic on that table today will be "frozen dinners," eh? My son-in-law is from Whitesboro, near Utica, not far from you. I'm an old Long Island boy myself, and traveled upstate NY as much as I could - used to camp, climb mountains, hike, and fish from Lake George to the Finger Lakes. Still love upstate New York, even with the annual 4-6 feet of snow. If it weren't for taxes, I'd probably think about retiring there. :)

Johnny (Raincoat2)

Johnny: I'm a Lonk Island guy myself, born in Mineola but the folk moved to Calif., when I was 9 months old so I've grown up out here.

Good morning. 26 degrees and overcast to start off the day.

Sherrel - A slight owie to that locomotive.

Ray - No sympathy from me. Had that over a month ago. I usually don't whine until I have to get the skid steer out of the shop to clear drifts. Here a few photos from a few years ago. Had numerous snow piles the size of semi trailers when the clearing was complete.

Getting too old for this crap.

Catch you later.

Say Chet: Hell, that's what keep you young! You sure get a considerable amount or snow alright but then again many others do too. The Skid stear should make it a lot easier though.

I'll be glad to get my little tractor going as even it is a tremendous work saver mowing and rather fun while things are green but when things start to dry out it gets dusty and a challenge to dodge the wind!

Good morning

Here are some GN Alcos running behind Reggie's Junk Yard.

Here is another shot of Reggie's Junk Yard. Reggie is working on his stock car.

Beware of "Dawg", the junk yard dog next to the shanty. He is as mean as any dog can get.

Say Garry: Very interesting scenes and very nice photography too, your scenes show the artist in you and you do a good job of composing your shots too!

Morning Everyone! I have to start my day earlier this morning. Have bunches of BT items to take care of. (That's Before Thanksgiving - lol)

Looking for a gathering at the mother-in-law's house of around 30 this year. When I first joined the family 25 years ago it was closer to 40, but several have gone on and some have been replaced by sons and daughters in marriage plus their kids. It's too bad that 9 of them are back on the East Coast as well. We all have calmed down a bit during that 25 years; we don't drink quite as much, tell fewer sex jokes, and generally nap during the football games - lol. MOH's mother laughed the other day (age 95) and said -- "If I hadn't got laid, none of you would be around!"

Hope everyone has a place to be for the Holiday, and certainly hope that everyone remembers what we all have to be thankful for!

Say Sherrel: I like your Mother-in laws sense of humor, yet reality too! LoL

RAY That's gonna hurt your electric production! Sure pretty to look at as long as you don't need to go out for a while.

Sherrel: Ray sure does get the snow, doesn't he? Burr-rrr

Mornin' folks!

David, yes, it is a great photo of me.... It was taken by a professional who was doing a photo shoot out at the museum several years ago. He rode back down the line in the Erie Caboose I was working in, and asked if I would pose for a couple shots with me in the doorway of the 80 tonner. As a thank you he emailed a couple of the photos with no restriction on use. BTW, I have lost about 30 lbs since that photo was taken......

Have a great day!

Say Ray: That is a fairly good portrait of you, glad for your sake you dropped some of the weight. It makes you a little lighter on your feet, I'm sure! It's neat being able to actually be in the cab of a steam loco!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Been busy working and the motel I'm staying at has really lousy WI-FI, so I haven't been on here much. I get a whole four days off and I plan on enjoying them! Maybe I'll be able to catch up on the goings on with everyone. Hope everybody has a great time!

Got the house buffed to a high shine and inspection ready, now I'll get cleaned up, crank the layout into motion and hope my sister brings some beer! I like to have a wee buzz on when watching the Lions, it helps!
