Been relegated to the RIP track. Woke up Thursday morning with a high fever. Wife took me to the Dr, enroute the decision was made to straight to the ER.. Long story short, I’ve suffered a bout of cellulitis. Doc have me hooked up to serious IV antibiotics and the prognosis is good . I just have to stay here a few more days.

Today was the 1st I could hold my phone steady to type.
Get well soon!

Hospitals are no fun!

Good morning, all!

* Patrick - Hope you feel better. (One hand for the ship, one hand for you. Naval instructions for ladders and stairs)
* Karl - Get well soon
* Terry - Why would you chase a line backer?
* TomO - Will there be a toll booth at the tunnel?
* Louis - Astros in first place. Hope they are peaking at the right time.

STAY SAFE

Hello folks, 79 here right now and supposed to only go to 86. Nice.
Karl and Patrick, get well!
Had biscuits and gravy this morning and a pot of coffee. Gonna get the ballasting done on my two TTrak modules. My Missus is till in Branson, comes home tomorrow night. The house has been kept clean, so that is good. Finished repairs on a couple of cabooses last night.
You guys have a good day.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those chasing nurses.

Warning: They know CPR.

It's troy again.

Back from a trip to City BBQ for lunch. Ever since they opened, I've slowed down on cooking my own briskets.

Wife is still dealing with brain fog. She had to ask me what she normally orders as she stared at the menu board. I paid attention for the next 45 minutes or so, and had her engaged in conversation, asking her to recall things to make sure it wasn't a stroke. She's fine. Just bouts of brain fog.

We're not sure if it is caused by her RA, or by the meds. Both can cause it. She's added Creatine, and MCT Oil to her diet in hopes of reversing the brian fog, but neither is working.

Three more weeks before she gets in to meet her Rheumatologist.

While we were out, we stopped by the Blobby Lobby of Hobbies. I needed to get some new needle files. My two favorites are worn down and gunked up.

Picked up a new hobby knife too. I hate the color Orange, so I will hopefully notice it easier than the black one I'm going to retire.

Wife picked up some floral foam (the cheap version) for cemetery flowers that she puts out every year for her grandparents and her own father. She was shocked at how cheap it was compared to Michaels. I pointed out that this was the cheap stuff, instead of the pro-level closed cell floral foam.

Right now, she's upstairs baking cookies and cinnamon bread. I've only had to make three trips to the cellar pantry for stuff as she's running out. but, I have cookies!

Get well soon Karl.

Was it from an undiagnosed UTI? Cellulitis and sepsis are common secondary infections from an undiagnosed UTI.

Years ago I bought a set of machinist grade Grobert files based on the recommendation of a tool & die maker I knew. He said they were entry level, but that I would never need to replace them. I think I paid like $50- $60.

Good afternoon. The forum is having troubles again. Trying to catch up on posts and the forum is slow or not responding. The heat must have gotten to it.

westtexjohn - I will also welcome you to the remote shopping group. I live close to Todd and in a way feel like I went back to the stone ages in some respects. I had lived near Bozeman, MT for over 45 years and watched it grow from a smaller agricultural, college town to what I would call a s##t hole. When I returned in 1976, there were 3 grocery stores, and few chain stores. It grew and in came a new interstate exit, a Home Depot, Lowes, many more franchise businesses and grocery stores an the busiest airport in the state and an influx of out of staters, many of who were quite rude. Had grown from a bit over 18,000 people to just under 60,000 when I moved out.
I miss my hobbies a lot but then I am getting old (80) but still have the urge but don't have the room. Can't restore or work on my vehicles and NO MORE MODEL RAILROAD layout. That is one reason I started my little shelf display. I won't be able to run trains, but will have a miniature 3D photo above the TV. Got tires looking at all of the cables behind the TV also.

I do shop locally being that there is only me and my 2 little dachshunds. Like Todd mentioned, we have 3 different Dollar Stores. I have been in them only once and was unable to find some of the items that I prefer. It brings tears to my eyes when I walk past the meat department having grown up on a ranch and raising our own beef and pork. As much as I dislike going to Kalispell, 90 miles east of us, they do have a Costco where I do stock up. For beef, I buy a boneless Rib Roast and butcher my own rib eyes. Costco does have PRIME beef. Grocery stores usually only carry choice and select. With the thermometer showing 100 degrees, I will have one of those rib eyes tonight. I am of course a big fan of Amazon, but try to avoid and Chinese products when possible. I love to cook and try to cook everything from scratch when possible.

I have been working on making trees. I am trying to build this on the cheap. With the way the left side of the layout is coming along, I am frothing at the mouth to get some "grass" and trees in the empty space in the middle. I was going to wait until the guardrails came in but I have no idea when they'll arrive.

It will look so much better with some ground cover, trees and foliage. I don't think I will try to ballast the tracks at the rear as they will be mostly hidden.

I am going to say adios for now as things are going so slow on the forum this afternoon. No archive photos.

Good evening all!

We will see if this posts in its entirety. My last one lost some of it due the forum acting up.

Rain has left the area. We received another .6" of rain today. Total for the last 36 hours is 2.3". It was badly needed and I'm sure area
farmers appreciate it. Never got out of the 60s today. 68F was the high for today and the winds made it feel more like early fall. I ended
up throwing the solar cover back on the pool tonight after I shocked it.

Got 2 loads of laundry done, filled up the car and got the weekly grocery shopping done. I even helped my wife move some furniture
so she could vacuum behind it in the living room. Amazing how much dog hair collects behind that stuff. There was so much ewe could
of stuffed a small pillow, Dinner is cooked, ate, and dishes in the dishwasher.

Haven't decided what Im going to do tonight. I did have another bulk pack of Kadee 148s show up yesterday, I have 36
ScaleTrains 5188 hoppers to change over and put on conspicuity stripping, or just veg in the recliner and watch some YT.
Not sure yet.

Have a great rest of your evening everyone!

My friends who made it to GenCon in Indy are posting videos on the socials of the roofs of the convention center leaking rain in buckets and buckets.

Evidently a tornado warning was issued. Early indications are that it stayed aloft, but the convention center appears to have been damaged at least on the roof."

The good news, some of the gamers got their first shower this week. :p
