@Texas Hobo Happy Birthday!
Does anyone have a copy of the February 1979 Model Railroader? There was an article called Timesaver in a Loop, and I would love to get a scanned copy of that trackplan.

It's short enough, I'll post the first page here;

Here are the track plans:

Looks like if you're after the original John Allen trackplan, this isn't it.

There is more text on the next page talking about what the students did. That's the extent of the article.

Got an odd question to ask of this group having so much esoteric knowledge.
Is a 1972 Lincoln head penny with a blank back worth anything?

My MIL passed away in April and left a couple coffee cans and gallon jar of coins. A few weeks ago, I separated the coins and divided into piles to split with her brother.
Once home, I emptied the 5 gallon water jug of its 6 inches of coins we have dropped pocket change in over the last 20 years and added them to the coins from my MIL.I pulled out old coins like wheat pennies, buffalo nickels, silver dimes and quarters, a few half dollars and a couple silver dollars. As I checked the penny backs for wheat pennies, I found this blank back penny.
I rolled over $20.00 in pennies and deposited $182.00 from the coins, not quite enough for a new DCC engine.

LIke this? Off center front and blank reverse? $10-$20 depending on condition.

Good evening from Seattle. Busy good day. We are getting a ride out to Medina and dinner with some old friends from Wisconsin.

I knew they left North Central Wisconsin in 1990 and went to work for Microsoft. 4 friends not married living in one place in Washington! Terry has kept in touch with them almost monthly by phone, then emails and now group texts. We had a late lunch with 2 of them and they will pick us up. Every couple years we have met up with them but they were more Terry’s friends than mine, but really good people. Interesting catching up. Sounds like they’ve done well with one of them now the CFO of a software company with 2 of the other 3 doing consulting work for MS.

Lots of pictures taken on a beautiful clear blue sky day per our tour guide. A rarity as usually it is gray and overcast.

Damn! I don't know if I could survive with BP readings that low!
I had even lower readings. It is amazing what God's creations can endure.
I don't know how serious that MLB re-alignment is, but it will never happen in my lifetime. Not that it really matters to me as I don't follow baseball at all.
I'll believe it when I see it. I just thought it was interesting.

40th anniversary of my 39th birthday.
Happy Birthday!!!

I bought a Wahl clipper during covid and it still works, although I just ran out of clipper oil.
I've been using a Wahl clipper for close to twenty years. No.1 attachment for the sides, No.2 for the top. My wife checks to see if I missed any "wild hairs" in the back which I do more often the older I get. I use the same lightweight synthetic oil for the clipper that I use for my trains.

Rocking chair!
A great spot to watch your Astros. They ended their mini skid against my Birds, in Baltimore, on national TV no less! Opponents don't want to let the Astros carry the lead into the late innings. The back end of the Astros bullpen is tough to score on.
