Those plastic Varney F3s were horrible as I recall, barely able to pull themselves...the Dummys had plastic wheels that were so warped they were like skids. Yes, there were worse than TYCO. BTW: before Tyco, was Tyco the Mantua RTR line. They were more reliable than Hong Kong Tyco, although there was little difference with the GP20s.

Never had Lionel HO.

Welp, the wife and I just went for gooey pizza at the mom&pop place down the road. mmmmm.....

A tad on the overbaked side, but still tasty.

On the way home, we saw an oversized load flatbed get off the highway and start to head toward downtown Fort Wayne. On the flatbed was a BART car (sans wheels) The car was grey in color, with a BART logo. The undercarriage looked new. Crisp and shiny grey paint. The car looked like the ones on their Wikipedia page:

No pic since I was driving, and when we finally passed it, the truck driver was turning off the 4-lane divided road we were on. If I had to guess, he missed his connection to I469, and was backtracking. Because where he was headed didn't have much of anything rail line.

I do wonder if he was heading to the NS yard to load it on a trailer and send it off to San Francisco?

I recently decided not to sell the house and was looking to buy a dog. I wanted an Italian Greyhound because that's what our previous dogs were. I seen an IG that looked just like our old Gidet. I told the breeder I would buy dog and pick it up in Maryland, She told me I lived to far away and would not sell me the dog. So last week the company Good Dog who handles all these sales sends me a email saying we have some more IG's for you to look at but in the description there's no details on where the dogs are located. I send an email back and asked why do you leave out in what state the dogs our located. They send me a email saying we will get back to you on that. I have not heard back for them yet. I would think they would let you know what state I will have to drive to and pick up the dog. Swal

Look up the Italian Greyhound rescue in your area.

A lot of breeders and rescues want to do everything from credit checks to property checks now.

I did already there's none. The Carmel Humane Society found our last dog in Georgia and had it shipped up to NY for us to recue. All for only $200.00. The dog I wanted to buy was $2000.00 and I was willing to drive down and pick it up but they said I lived out of the 250 mile buy zone that they want you to live in for some unknow reason. Swal

I love it when the cheese is a little brown!

Swal I would never try to tell you what to do, but consider a local rescue. Find a place with a good reputation and visit them. You might find a dog that likes you. More importantly one that needs you.

I have had a dog/s for most of my life, various breeds. From my experience all dogs are individuals. Different breeds can have certain attributes and characteristics, but all dogs have unique personalities.

I think getting a dog is a great idea, I wish you well!

When I bought my pure breed Dalmatian, Mickey we had to pass a forty-five minute interrogation. My ex-wife was a mater bullshitter. She could have sold the Arabs oil. I sat quietly, little Mickey sat with me the entire time. I think that sealed the deal.

The breeder said they had to be extra careful when ever the 101 Dalmatians movie was popular. People don't realize how much exercise a Dalmatian needs. If they don't get enough they can be come an emotional wreck. My ex told them "I plan to walk him twice a day, every day" She never walked him once! Mick loved to wrestle with me, that wore him out every night. Several vets commented "He is the strongest Dalmatian I ever saw, what did you do?" Mick was always a happy camper. If he was awake, his tail was happily wagging.

Old McDog lived to be fourteen when he kidneys failed in 2002. If I think too much about him it will still bring tears to my eyes. I credit Mick for me being able to survive my time (prison sentence) with my ex.

Good morning Everybody!

If you are wondering why I'm online at this time, it is simple. Amazon is paying punk money again. We may go in the second wave (6am-7:30) if the money is good. In the meantime I'm watching baseball. 😁

It has been a slow time for Amazon again. In all my years with Amazon this year has had the most slow periods. Several years have had no slow periods at all.

Amazon is smart, they are constantly bringing in new contractors. The new contractors take time to learn that patience will get you more money. As long as they accept $21.50/hour Amazon will keep offering it. Patience can yield up to four times more.

Enjoy your day Everybody!

Play Ball!

I'm up early and tomorrow even earlier because 16 of us are going to a Golf / Track day. Golf at Saratoga Lakes 7:30am tee off time and then to the race track at around 12:30pm. $90.00 to play Saratoga Lakes at the peak of the season. Two hour drive there from Lake Carmel, NY. I'll have to be up at 4:30 am tomorrow. Swal

A dog doesn't care if it's pure breed or a mutt. They are themselves. I've had better experiences with Heinz 57 dogs than purebred, registered dogs. They seem to have fewer health issues than pure bred dogs, and the ones I've been around have seemed happier, as well.
