I would count an 8 as a "Win, Win!It's hard to win a low stroke bet starting out with an 8 on the 1st hole.
Sherrel, now you know why I no longer pretend to be a golfer...I would count an 8 as a "Win, Win!
I wonder who had the Opel Redkord?Good morning. 79° and sunny. Going to 84°. May be the last dry day for a while, if the forecast is right. Slept in a bit this morning, then broke with tradition and scrambled a couple of eggs opting for protein instead of fiber. Eating healthy is not an easy sport....
Sherrel, now you know why I no longer pretend to be a golfer...Bribeum,
, Like that.
Over the years, he did a good job of disguising that side of him, now, I guess he doesn't have to. I don't know how much is his fault, and how much is due to other factors, such as CSAA General Insurance's losses in CA and FL, but it all hurts, and none of this counts when computing the COLA.
This week, the "Farmers Market" is being co-mingled with an "Outdoor Expo". We will skip it this week...
It's beginning to look like time to dismantle the layout. We are seriously looking at relocating. That's life.

I was listening to the Washington Capitals on the radio. It was the year after they won the Stanley Cup. They were not having a good day. The color commentator (I can't remember his name, help me, Boris!) He said "Even Champions don't play like Champions everyday"Bad start at golf yesterday. Hooked the ball a little to much hit a tree on the left side of the fairway. I had a narrow opening to avoid another fairway tree hit that which put me behind more trees on the right side of the fairway. It's hard to win a low stroke bet starting out with an 8 on the 1st hole.

I'm amazed you knew what that thing was!I wonder who had the Opel Redkord?
Some poor unfortunate soul to own any Opel, let alone a Rekord wagon!I wonder who had the Opel Redkord?
Meee Tooo, LOUISI'm amazed you knew what that thing was!
After all these years you still amaze me.
I'm heading to my favorite electronics emporium in a bit to check out UPS systems. I have a really nice desktop computer that I'm afraid to use because of frequent power failures and surges here. I "thought" I had things figured out, that power issues would only happen around weather events like thunderstorms. I discovered I was wrong this morning when the power failed twice in ten minutes with a cloudless sky.
I have a nice laptop I can use, and have, so I don't ruin my (eye-wateringly-expensive) desktop, but it IS still a laptop.
I ended up with this:Surge Protectors, UPS Systems and Voltage Regulators | Brick Wall
Brick Wall provides the world's best surge protectors to many different industries, professional, and home users.www.brickwall.com
Real power surge suppression. No fear when using this one. Don't know about there UPS systems as I just plugged in my consumer UPS to the Brick Wall.
I noticed the Opel right away. That looks like a Plymouth Duster along side. That parking area was generally used by those who worked in the tower. The larger paved lot right off Hwy 1, led to a tunnel under the SB Hump, providing safe passage to the Engine pit, the General Office building, and the dormitory. Terminal General manager and Terminal Superintendent, Terminal Master Mechanic and Terminal Engineer were all located in the GOB. PY was an impressive operation, a well oiled machine.I wonder who had the Opel Redkord?
Ken Sabourin ? Craig Laughlin is the TV analyst on NBCSW.The color commentator (I can't remember his name, help me, Boris!)
Good cars overall, along same standard as VW. Had rental Opels several times going into Germany and never been disappointed. Can't say the same for one time i got a Nissan, what a POS.Some poor unfortunate soul to own any Opel, let alone a Rekord wagon!
Curt: The move, may be an opportunity, Costs rise, especially with unabated inflation. Just don't want to do this any more. I do regret another unfinished Model Railroad.Sorry to hear about the cost increases and the potential move.
The blue car is a 1967 Mercury Comet. The one on the other side of the Opel looks like a 1969 Impala, and the brown nose sticking out from the other side looks like a '67 Grand Prix.I noticed the Opel right away. That looks like a Plymouth Duster along side.
Domestic (Continental) Opels were, and for the most part still are, pretty good. The stuff GM had sent over here, though was almost universally trash. My cousin had a Kadett wagon that spent more time in the shop than it did in her driveway.Good cars overall, along same standard as VW. Had rental Opels several times going into Germany and never been disappointed. Can't say the same for one time i got a Nissan, what a POS.
