Question for experts (house construction question):
Around the foundation layer we applied a waterproofing membrane. Similar to the bichathane (not spelled correctly) used around windows or on roofs but foam friendly and thicker. This was a roll applied top to bottom. A primer adhesive was applied first. We did this last Fall and backfilled, but we did not backfill up to grade, as we need to apply a layer of acrylic parge from the main floor down over this waterproofing layer.
Over the winter, throigh weather, rain, snow, etc, some parts of the waterproofing membrane came loose and sagged a little (which was made worse by rain/snow accumulating behind it etc).
I am wanting to use some sort of glue or adhesive to glue these sagging bits back to where they should be, so we can then apply the acrylic parge over the seam from the main floor down below the top of this membrane.
I need some sort of foam-friendly contact cement or something similar that will allow me to glue this membrane back onto the foam of the foundation layer -- something that will hold the membrane, which may have hardened a little or have gotten minor concrete splashes on it over the winter, etc.
I found a thing that kind of sounded like a water based foam friendly contact cement called "WeldBond" (apply to both sides and let set a few seconds/minutes before pressing together) but it turns out it seems to be a glorified PVA glue (fancy white glue) able to glue most materials, but one that takes to long to set up and be able to hold the membrane.
I have some spray contact cements that are foam safe but they are not strong enough to hold the membrane. They are made for light duty use.
Any suggestions on how to get this membrane glued back up on the wall? Anywhere from a few inches of sag to a foot or two of sag. I'll try and get a few pics
