Right ! I really don't know how I can prove it.
Your bank knows that you are an upstanding citizen. Just you complaining to them along with the research you have done should be enough. For a $35 chair, should not be a big deal. Do try and go the Amazon route first. Tell them your story, they can look up the tracking and such. I am pretty sure that A needs to know this stuff as from what I can tell they try to be on the up-and-up wanting to keep customers.

I hope you can find a way to manage a spay on those cats. I once found a black garbage bag in the forest that held the corpses of kittens that someone had killed. Personally, I'd rather spend the money on spay than do something like that. There are people walking around that will do such a thing, though, without having a second thought. I can't ever remember when I've put money before life.
I have never put money before life, any life, and I never will! Personally, I'd gladly put the people who do that without conscious in a black bag as well - not necessarily a black garbage bag either!

If you all want to laugh, have a listen to Tom Mabe "Revenge on the telemarketers."

He made several CDs of himself messing with telemarketers. He was a writer for comics, and is really quick on his feet. Some of his stuff is hysterical. Search for one about carpet cleaning, or prepaid funerals.
I have watched several of these videos where different people pull stuff on these guys.

Scam the Scammer is another great channel to check out.

Well howdy there internet peeps

It's Troy again...

Confession time... one of the reasons work on my layout has collapsed (me, not the layout) is that I'm in overwhelm since I pulled the third leg from the layout.

that severely restricted the town scenes I had planned.

Right now, I'm at the stage where I might rip all of the trackwork that I've got layed (about 25% at most of the original planned for what's left). Then drop the table down, and plan a second level above. That would give me my "rural rocky valleys" on the lower, and some town-switching scenes above. Might do an external helix around a mountain, and have a steep grade along the back wall to connect the two levels.

I've been inspired by Gerry Leone's new layout (Trains.com or MRR Video + paid channel). But I don't have the real estate for a real helix. That's why I'm debating an "external helix" and a long grade along the back to connect the two levels.

But I still need a good folded dogbone layout for the lower section. That's the one I want to go rural, Pacific Northwest with.

Particulars:
N-Scale
Roughly 10 ft long by 10.5 ft long (along the back walls). The ends of the bone are 4 ft wide.
At least one level needs a continuous run, preferably for passenger rail. (that's why the dogbone has 4 ft ends).
The current layout height is 44 inches. Thinking of two levels around the 34 and 50-inch heights.

I learned that I need to keep good access to that Electrical Panel in the background of the second pic...

Does anyone have any inspirational layouts they can direct me to?

Sometime you have to do that on a layout, better to do it before all the scenery is put down! I imagine most model railroaders have re-done at least one part of their layout at some point or another, lookin nice! It would be a good idea for a track along the back wall, just put up access panels along the wall in case of derailment behind the wall.

Tony - I need a feral cat or two. Our last one who actually lasted three years before dying two years ago, was a "mouser supreme". Around here coyotes usually get them or they get hit by cars and the vultures clean up. Once I see one, I feed them in hopes that they will hang out in the barn that always has an open door. I've spotted one several times recently, but judging from it's well kept appearance, I think that it might actually belong to a neighbor.
Your welcome to a few of ours if you want them - although, it'll be one hell of a road trip back to Texas :) AND, to be honest, even though they are ALL a pain in the butt - I don't think I could part with any of them :)

We have a lot of Coyotes and Bob Cats around us. The coyotes you can hear howling just across the tracks and we have seen Bob Cats up the road on a neighbors property. We tend to keep our porch light on at night so I doubt if a coyote or bob cat would venture any where near us :)

My son, a number of years ago, had a telemarketer calling him every day for about a week. His voice had changed so without seeing him you had no idea how old he was. Anyway this marketer was calling him every day and was sure she had a sale in him, Finally she asked him "Well are you gonna buy of not?" He said lady I'm only 13. No I am not gonna buy. The silence was deafening then he heard a click. He was always quick on his feet. He made a commercial that was shown on the Superbowl so I guess he is doing ok.

Every now and then I find what I think is a good deal. Bought this at a yard sale just down the road for $10. Did I get a deal?

And be persistent with Amazon. If you don't like the solution, tell them that is not acceptable. They will get a supervisor on the line. Eventually someone will "fix" it with a credit or something, just to get rid of you :). I always use their chat feature.

Welp... I went online to see where the FedEx chain of custody was with the new 💩box for the cat.

Checked in at New Haven IN this morning. Says "on vehicle for delivery"

Right then my smartwatch buzzed with a RING doorbell notification

I run outside and there's a huge box.

I proudly present, Ole Smokey, the new Wifi Enabled Pooping Palace!

I'll now get a notification on my phone every time he uses it and it cycles. Or if it gets stuck, or if it eats Lord Fuzzbutt... At least I hope so. I need to know if we have a feline-eating monstrosity in the basement.

wow!

I would say you scored pretty big there! The well cars alone are probably worth $50, and you got $30 or so in containers.

You going to display it, or take it and use it on your layout?
Not sure what to do with it, probably wont fit well on my little RR. But I got some other great deals too, 5 1/2" vise $10, huge Dremel tool lot, $10. Makita sawzall $10.. What I really wanted was a bunch of beet gondolas and a couple GE 70 tonners........

A real scam story. WTF !
A few days ago, I ordered a small piece of furniture ($35) on Amazon. I later found out it was a fake Chinese online store working with Amazon. They kept my money but they sent absolutely nothing ! All the data about this online store are bogus. I can't do nothing about that because it doesn't exist. Amazon doesn't care to solve my problem because it's not the seller. Now I'm in deep...
When buying online, I always use PayPal, then you'll always get your money back when that happens, it costs nothing to have an account with them. Amazon have their own process that you have to go through, contact seller etc. they should refund you as they also don't want scammers on their site, gives them a bad reputation. Persevere with Amazon, they're usually pretty good, just take some time.
Online I use PayPal, and even then I still use my credit card so I have double protection, so far I've had no problem.
