Well, speaking of burn out, I forgot to post these goblins to the MARCH thread on the Facebook Slo-grow painting contest (Random drawing).

So I jumped them into the April group. Now I just need to paint some for May.

Now, the keen-eyed among you might have noticed two important details. Yes, Gorp is adding some extra "magic" to the magic green ooze in the creek.

And poor Moorat fell into the green ooze. The magic is already affecting his body...

In other news, wife's second sister is up from TX for her grandsons' spring break. So, they've ventured over to our area for a couple of nights in the local hotel, and to visit family (mostly wife's mother). So, we'll probably go out to eat tonight. That's 8 of us (2 kids, 2 girls, me, MIL, and Sis #1's roomie).

Wife wants Italian. The kids don't care as long as there is chicken nuggets on the menu.

Mike (CGW) - Congratulations on the anniversary. Continued best wishes on your wife's recovery.
Double that for me too, MIKE (CGW)!
Good morning all. It's a sunny day!! After the wettest March in years, SUNSHINE!
DITTO, DITTO, DITTO on both accounts! Great pic there, DAVID..
Flo, may I have a plate of your finest biscuits and gravy along with my morning coffee. I’ll need something to stop the belly rumbling at church ( so embarrassing!)
SAY, FLO -- have MEL make up another plate for me?
OK, KARL - that "rumbling" isn't as bad as those silent gas passes that causes people to move away from you!

Willie - nice scenes ... I think you must have "saved" most of CHET's layout?

Supposed to be 65 and Sunny later on. The Spousal Unit didn't sink the ship after all. She docked here last evening/this morning around 1:30 am - almost 24 hours from Ft Lauderdale, exhausted!

Thanks Willie. Have not got enough sleep but oh well she is worth it. She would do the same for me if the tables were turned. My DIL made 3 huge casseroles for us so we are eating great, a talented lady she is one of the best photographers in the area and a great cook!
Mike

Being the cheapskate I am, we choose the self- installation option. The new modem and cables arrived in the mail.
MIKEY - Looking at that new car - I fail to see the "cheapskate" portion?
That is a beauty!

I had a close complication with my "new" u-Tube TV day before yesterday. We switched from DirectTV to u-Tube which works off the internet and ditched the cable. Everything was working fine until I went downstairs and turned on the large flatscreen. When I selected U-tube TV - the screen blacked out - WHAT! I did everything except throw something at the screen- finally called the Son in Law who said he would stop by before work the next day. I had lunch and went back upstairs where the smaller flat screen was working normal. In the meantime I was having nightmares about purchasing another TV for the downstairs - 75 inch it is.
OK - fast forward - the next morning about half hour before the SIL was to show I decided to turn on the TV and see if it was still a n0-go ... guess what ... everything is normal?
Did I ever mention how I hate electronics?

Good morning all. I have a tech question. Sometimes when I play a U-tube video I get a total green screen like when I played Curts video on Wed. Christians video flashed green on and off as did James video earlier. I'm running Win 10 and using the browser it came with? Edge? Anybody else have this happen? Not all u-tube, just some..
Thanks, Dave in PV

CHRISTIAN - You have really pipped my interest! I love your plan and RR.
I need to go back and see if I can locate your table dimensions and radius size.
A few info
Dimensions are: 3'4" x 6'2" (very small for a US layout I guess).
Curves radii are 15" and 18" (a bit tight for US stuff).
I used Peco and Hornby track.
But it works very well (for me !) as you can see on the videos.

Good morning. It's Palm Sunday. 48° and sunny...another sunny Sunday!

Not for nothing, wife and I are feeling very blessed, in that we were spared major damage last night. Just before sunset, our phone alerts went off, indicating a Tornado Warning. Since the trees indicated it was very calm, I stepped out into the yard to check things out. To the West and North, there were the ugliest purple clouds with white swirls. Overhead and to the East and South, the clouds were broken or skies were clear. Wife decided we should heed the warnings, so we captured the cat and placed her in her carrier, and gathered lights and battery radios and went down to the basement. I looked out the West basement window and it was wall to wall lightning and a wierd sounding roar. (They weren't kidding).
About 20" later, the weather radio channel went dead, and five minutes after that, the power went off. We could hear hail (described as golfball sized by others), banging on the West facing Wall, then the North facing wall. Once the warning expired, we went back upstairs., to sit in the dark and listen to a radio station in Trenton, that was giving reports every 10 minutes or so. Power was restored by 10:50 PM. (3 hours).

This morning, Facebook was loaded with photos of funnel clouds and reports, as well as photo evidence of damage. I stepped out into they yard, to survey conditions. Lots of small tree debris in the yard, but no discernible damage to the Bravo, Charley or Delta exposures of our house. None of the neighbors fences bordering our lot were damaged either. The only damage, was the cap of the chimney that vents the gas water heater, had blown off and was found under the forsythia bushes. also, the banner flag broke off and flew like a spear, to a point adjacent to the tree in the East side front yard. Haven't checked the full front or roof, but I don't think I'll find anything. The TV antenna appeared to remain in place.

It appeared that the worst damage was to our Northwest or Southeast, all within a mile of the house. We were spared. To repair or replace the chimney crown, and flag holder will not come close to my HO deductible. We are just thankful we weren't in the path.

Tornados are generally rare in these parts, although not unknown.

Good afternoon. It's mostly sunny and 85.
I decided earlier this morning since I'm probably going to be stuck in this trailer for the foreseeable future, I might as well figure something out, as far as being able to run some trains.
I found what looks like a nice, roughly 2x4 layout, twice around (with a pretty steep grade). It's blow-molded plastic, painted in color, with some grass applied, and needed Kato track and bridges included for assembly. The price including shipping looked reasonable, and the system showed "in stock, ready to ship". So, I created an account, added my address, found shipping was $20 via UPS, and placed my order. I don't think the page fully loaded when I got an "out of stock" message. So, they'll be getting a phone call from me tomorrow, canceling my order.
