Speaking of which, Deere lost their battle over right to repair in Colorado. The governor there signed a bill into law requiring manufacturers to make available access to resources for individuals to perform their own repairs without being forced to go to the dealer.
Wasn't there a law passed that did the same thing to car dealerships - stopped them from forcing people to get their cars serviced etc with them?

Good evening. 40°, 69° indoors. I say that because the furnace failed again. Since I have a service contract, I'll call the service people tomorrow morning. We generally keep the place at 70°, for our comfort. Fortunately, very late in the heating season, but it still gets chilly.

I'm losing my patience with Verizon. I regret staying with them...but I hope I finally got things straightened out.

Yes Willie, Smallwood Street. I sadly suspect City Classics had no succession plan. As far as the witnesses or Mormon Missionaries for that matter, we normally don't answer the door, so they are not a problem. I guess the wife being caught outside, but being snubbed, hurt her feelings.

Oh, yeah, The damn printer is misbehaving again. Another expense I don't want.

FWIW: Apparently Bank of America is opening "UNSOLICITED" Savings and Checking Accounts and sending debit cards with activation instructions to "last known address". It appears that whom ever is doing this, is targeting current and former Military, but may also target folks who previously had accounts with BofA. They are also very closed mouth about it, when "victims" call to close/cancel accounts. Could be a hack, or it could be deliberate like what Wells Fargo was caught doing a few years ago...BTW, I have first hand knowledge of this, this is not hearsay, or internet folklore. Both of my sons have been "gifted" with at least two separate pairings of accounts. Just a word to the wise.

The designer, project manager and the contractor were told make every effort to buy American. The buyer purchased Toto bath fixtures and they are not USA made. Terry saw the cartons at the warehouse last week when she was there. The contractor/owner apologized and said he will handle it. The bathroom stuff in the garage yesterday was the Toto. This is his last project before he turns everything over to the daughter who is the acting project manager on our job. He looked at the daughter when Terry saw the stuff and the daughter goes, I guess I get to terminate my first designer. Heck, Koehler is based in Wisconsin, how hard is it to buy there?!!!

Be aware that not everything Kohler sells is made in the USA. We've bought the toilets (TOTO) and the fancy shower stuff plus shower pans etc (All Kohler). The TOTO stuff is made in China, India, Malaysia (based on the seller's website declaration) for the actual toilets, while some of the smaller stuff is elsewhere in Asia. But a lot of the fancy shower stuff from Kohler is from China based on what the seller lists on their website as country of origin (and I remembered on the boxes seeing various non US locations on the Kohler boxes). Some of the Kohler does list USA as origin country.

So you've not done bad with TOTO. We wanted TOTO as we wanted the Japanese style "bidet" toilets and TOTO invented them. They have the best ones in my experience.

I haven't bought the drains yet for the bathroom sinks. The sinks are Kohler vessel sinks that have an overflow. I want to use drains that have rubber stoppers (they work and don't easily fail and are easily fixed if they fail, unlike all the other drains with flip stoppers etc).

All the drains I've found with rubber stoppers don't have overflow holes. Can I just drill (or dremel :) ) a couple appropriate sized holes in the side of the drain at the appropriate place to make them work with the overflow sink? I see pics online comparing the drain with and without overflow and the difference is just the hole in the side of the drain pipe.

Good morning, Everybody!

Red Sox 8 - Orioles 6 the birds ninth inning comeback attempt fell short.

Today's rubber match is a day game, 1:05pm.

Have a wonderful day Everybody!

Hello Happy Members !
Unfortunately, my lumber retailer went bankrupt. I discovered it today when I arrived in front of his store. Now if I want wood I have to go 40 miles (and another 40 miles to return to my home). Too far for my small budget. My big (for me !) project is cancelled. WTF !
This is a wind up surely, could you get the lumber delivered?

Anyway, my first version of the Atlas-inspired layout runs very well.
