I think I like your way better.

I see Athearn has announced a new Genesis Loco in an Australian road, albeit a mining only line. FMG. (Fortescue Metals Group) The model is part of the their new SD90MAC H2 type offerings.
There's an interesting story there. When CSX and NS took over Conrail, NS had effectively zero AC locomotives, and CSX had been grabbing them like TicTacs. Now, 20 years later, NS is getting as many AC units as it can get its hands on, while CSX is rebuilding old SD40s. NS is also rebuilding older, DC powered units into AC units.Good morning.....As for the 90 MAC I don't no why the 80 MAC 5,000 hp never caught on.Conrail and now NS never seemed to have problems with them.NS got the few CSX had from the split.
The SD40-2's are bulletproof and don't cost much to rebuild as a new Tier 4 loco.CSx seems to use the AC units for coal and intermodal (heavy stuff) and DC for others. Both CSX and NS from what I see in videos also mix them too. There's an interesting story there. NS seems to have led the charge as far as in house rebuilding of earlier models and upgrading them in the process. There's an interesting story there. You guys talking about your modern diesels completely loose me. My eyes glaze over and my mind goes numb. Don't know a 90 MAC from an 80 MAC!

I guess we no longer eat here in the in the Club Car/Dinner. So, Flo keep the coffee coming!

To me The most popular of the modern diesels is the AC4400 yet manufactures seem to shy away from making them.
It took me a while to figure out the best way to utilize the 2D background structures. Most work best when I scale them down a bit.I have experimented with photos, with mixed results, but I'm still trying

I believe that it's Chuck.Choochoo - Like the videos and photos. Thanks for the post. We should get your proper name.

Greg - Thanks for the suggestion, I have done that in other areas. In this case I am trying to represent industries on the outskirts of a medium-sized town that is representative of what I see in this part of the world; and is common around Santa Fe routes through the mostly farmlands of the plains states. I am actually looking at filling in some of the space with DPM modular walls to add some depth but I haven't gotten to that point yet. I don't always have a specific plan, but I have a general one that I "ad-lib" through!Willie: Just a thought about installing the background buildings in a continuous series rather than singe buildings spaced apart? Just a suggestion.
