Salutations from Mexifornia! .....

JUSTIN -- 6226 is in need of serious makeup on it's exterior! 6173 could use a trip to the powder room too!

Nice photo - CHET ... How long - do you think - that it will take for your sholder to return to normal? I just wonder if it will affect you accuracy in bowling?

TERRY & Johnny -- Somehow I thought that the "zebra stripes" on NYC went down the entire side? Am I wrong?

Guess that it will get warm soon enough, but 63 high forecast with clouds and humidity is cool to me. I am ready for hot!
The BOSS says I have to clean house today - already vacuumed and picked up the upstairs.
Finally have all the vehicles purring - now, both of our big screen TV's are starting to go. Going to be looking at a 70 incher for the downstairs - up from 60!
Time for sausage, eggs, potatoes, and english muffins at the moment!

Thought you guys might like to see whats Hauling Freight in Ireland

Very cool! When I switched from N To Ho I seriously considered doing a European themed railroad. Keep posting pictures like that , and I might change my mind again.

Nice picture there, Choo-Choo Chuck ...
Hope you have more to share with us?

First wife/kids/me spent a week around the Dublin area way back when - it was great! :)
Also made many fueling stops in Shannon, but no stopovers to explore around there.

My layout shot of the day:

a final view 034.JPG

Most of those are the "super trees" that are made from some weed product purchased and painted, attach some foliage, and voila!

Have to work early again tomorrow.

Dave: Actually, as good as the trees look, the star of the photo is the Mantua 0-6-0 and tender. If you look closely at both the Mantua 0-4-0 with slope back tender and the 0-6-0 with slope backed tender, there is a close resemblance to the PRR A5 0-4-0 and B6b 0-6-0, that used to run past Mantua's factory window in Woodbury in South Jersey. In any event your treatment of scenery, your blending of ground, vegetation and erosion is very realistic.

Boris

Dave - That's always been one of my favorite scenes from your old layout. That's the scene that convinced me to try out Super Trees along with help from your video.

Good afternoon. Quiet out here this afternoon. Came upstairs for an ice tea and to see what was going on. Been running trains.

Dave - Those trees are excellent, Like Willie, I do remember the post of them on your old layout. Outstanding.

Justin
- Those geeps in the last photo look rather shabby. Nice photos.

Decided to run my shays for a while. Here's a three truck Bachmann pulling out with some loaded log cars. Due to the length of my switchback, three cars is the limit.

That shay is one smooth running locomotive. May have to set it out on the main line and let it run for a while.

Goof afternoon .

Sherrel, Willie, Boris, Chet, Dave LASM and anyone I missed .... Thanks for commenting on my photo.

Willie ... Your DPM industry looks great. Same with the Santa Fe train.

Johnny .... With such a large coffee mug for meetings, I hope there is a restroom nearby.. ,,, By the way, I hope Dena is continuing to do well.

Chet .... Your stock pens look very good. The log train photo is great.

Justin ...... Those C&O Geeps look like a fun prototype to model and weather.

Dave .... your trees look real.

Choo Choo ... Welcome to the Coffee Shop. Thanks for all of the photos and the video.

Here is a Genesis GP7 working at the stock yards.

Afternoon All,

Did some errands today and then put a coat of Hunterline Creosote stain on the trestle followed by a heavy coat of black weathering powder since coal dust would be heavy on the trestle. Tomorrow is train day, the show followed by the club.:)

Chet- Thank you. Great scenes and the Shay is cool.

Greg- Thank you.

Garry- Great layout scenes also. I have always liked how you did you're vertical separation.

Willie- It has a wood bumper per the Pennsy Plan. The kit did have the option to put a Hayes bumper on it (not provided) if so desired. I added Tichy rivets on the end and bin separation boards (not provided). I took 2 photos of the end of the trestle.

Joe- I decided to put up industrial background sheets years ago (after thought). Once I got them up I decided I didn't like them and then took them off. The problem was that since I really hadn't originally planned on them I didn't have enough separation space from the track so that it would look halfway realistic. After that fiasco I cut thin plywood and applied groundcover to them and that's what I still have.

Justin- Neat pictures.

Choo-Choo- Interesting photos.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Well, It's a little after 5:00 pm and I'm still at work....no yard mowing today, so it will be a few days before I can get to it as it's supposed to rain the next couple of days. I'm at almost 7 hours of for the week as I was supposed to get off work at 10:30 this morning. Still have at least a couple more hours to go....

Hi guys
