Good Morning gang!

Sunny and going up to 71° later, then rain tonight and much colder for the rest of the week.

Bud is spending the day at the Vet today for blood enzyme monitoring. The tough part was they wanted him to be fasting since midnight so they could check him at 8 am before he eats anything, then check him through the day. that being the case sister Bailey could not be fed til after Bud was in the car. Two hungry dogs underfoot made for a crazy morning, but all will be well by tonight. Hopefully in a few days we will hear good news from the Vet.

OH, and since the topic came up, the 11th commandment. Thou shalt not mix good bourbon with anything but ice cubes.

BBL
I hope all is well with your dog boy. I feel bad for Bud, Bailey, you and the rest of the family. You all will miss each other.

In my "Bible" it says any good whiskey. Make mine Jameson please. I certainly won't complain about bourbon. I will only say "thank you" for either one.

More of Talladega
The courthouse is an old fashion brick courthouse with a clock tower and lots of character. They were putting up Christmas decorations and a live tree with a crane, a tractor and three trucks in the front lawn.
II hope to return in 2-3 weeks to get pictures of the courthouse all dressed up for the holidays.

I have to edit the pictures I took of the 1916 Louisville and Nashville station, so I'll share those later.

Sherrel, try not to let your train and tool situation bother you. My Mom is 89 and I'm happy with anything she does. You amaze me with all that you do!' I'm 30 years younger and I think I would have trouble keeping up with you!

I have been trying to stop worrying about things I can't get done or are beyond my control. I have been happier ever since.

Speaking of alcohol, I have cut back to only a few drinks a year. My diabetes was going in the wrong direction. I increased eating vegetables. I'm trying to be more active and I cut back on alcohol. So far so good, it's moving in the right direction again and I am very happy with the trade off!

This last 4th of July was the first 4th of July in memory that I did not over indulge.

I always have a fully stocked liquor cabinet and an assortment of lager and pilsner beer in the refrigerators for guests. The liquor will likely out last me and any used beer will be used for cooking or steaming crabs and or shrimp.

I will have a shot of Jameson Thanksgiving day, but only one.

Afternoon All,

Spent most of the day doing cleaning jobs in preparation for Thanksgiving. I got the Scenic Express fine dirt shaker in yesterday (I have been using medium). Side by side the fine is a little darker which I like. I'm contemplating for the next section to have a dirt access road and lot for Hendrix that will join up to the power plant road. One thing I did do in the train room was to repair the WS low power vacuum. It stopped working yesterday after 4 days use. Found out the wires pulled loose from the crappy light on it and must of shorted the vacuum. I fixed that and it works fine now.

Thank you to everyone for the likes yesterday for my photos.

Sherrel- Thank you.

Troy- Congratulations on the new book.

Jaz- Awesome snow scene. It looks real.

Willie- A nice job was done to the tree.

Terry- Aliens can be so hurtful.

Mikey- Interesting buildings.

ctclibby- Welcome to the coffee shop.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Jaz & Troy- Thanks for the info on the paint. Most of the paint colors I use for weathering are earth, grimy black, and rust tones. The days of buying undecked cars and engines are gone. Railroad paints don't exist to do projects anymore.
Patrick- Look on ebay for current pricing, some of the stuff doubled and some tripled in price.
