While working on layouts last Thursday, I found a scene missing a rundown house. I checked around with club members, but no
body knew anything.
With smoke coming out of my ears, I thought hard and decided to drag out the house trailer I completed a few weeks ago.
This is a temporary fix but it doesn't look too terrible for this Holiday show.

Love the detail on the trailer, has tonnes of character

Playing with the camera on the phone to change the pick on the avatar. So no sense wasting good train photos that didn't make the cut.View attachment 135497View attachment 135498
Beautiful pics Tom. I got video of the real 3194 acting as mid-train power a couple months ago as it went through the town I work in. Really cool loco to see, especially to a former police officer like myself.

Good morning y'all. Monday is now behind us and we are one day closer to the weekend, Retired guys, ignore the previous sentence,

Flo- Coffee please. Yes, the usual, but add sausage this time.

I'm glad that I made it to my son's basketball game, but it was almost impossible to watch. It was supposed to be 4 on 4, but we're talking about K5 boys and girls so what we actually had was complete chaos. At one point it appeared to be 8 on 5. There was very little shooting of goals, and even less sunk. Basketball turned into chase the kid with the ball and looked more like football when there's a fumble on the field. That being said, I will have to spend some time on the court with the boy. He took 3 shots on goal, and one of them was actually his team's goal. 🤣 But, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves so I think it was a success.

Curt- I'll check them out. Thanks for the advice. I'll also make note to avoid their trees.

Went out with the Mrs on Sunday to do a little Christmas shopping/decorating planning for the new home and ran across a sign that I decided we need to hang over the coffee bar she is planning in the kitchen. It said: This house runs on coffee and chaos. Considering that my new job is delivering coffee, I think it is well suited for many reasons. I could also use one at the office.

Speaking of coffee, mine is getting cold. Time to stop typing and start reading.

Y'all have a blessed day.

Good morning all! A chilly 30 degrees and clear here heading up to a mostly sunny and 65 for the day. Supposed to be mid 60's today and tomorrow and then go back to mid 40's for the high each day after that. Flo: I'll have a gallon of black coffee please.

Nothing much to report here. Work was a disaster yesterday and I expect it to be much the same today. Really wishing I could take off for about a year right now LOL

Been driving my granddaughter's car since I got it running Sunday. Seems to be running pretty well, but the service engine light is still on. I may be a lot of things in life, but an auto mechanic is not one of those things, so I've got an appointment to have it looked at Thursday by someone who knows what they're doing. I'm going to have them put some new back tires and probably brakes on it too as her combined birthday and Christmas presents.

Off to work for the day. Hope you all have a great one!

Thank you for your service to your community.
Thanks, 3194 is the best looking paint scheme on a loco I've seen in awhile. The military paint scheme is #2, I didn't get 911 because I'm not a fan of red and red fades to pink in the sun easily which the real 911 is starting to do.

Coffee Flo, gotta get moving.

Good morning Everybody!

Terry, I hope you at least have a peaceful day. Sounds to me like you work for assholes and we know the only thing that comes from assholes.

My way of coping with life, I try to do my best and let God worry about the rest, It works for me. I tell my wife the same thing, but she still worries too much. Some people can't help but worry.

Have a great day Everybody!

Good Morning!

There's time for just one short morning coffee before I go outside and dig us out. At least 12" of new snow overnight, and heavily drifted from the winds. I need to get the driveway cleaned before the vehicles start running, so I'll be out there by 6am.
Then I have to do my old neighbors place too. So it will be nap time by 10am.

This is not a day to be taking pretty pictures, or posting them. Gotta go! Good thing it's only 22f out there, because I'm going to sweat!

Morning all,

Going to be a working weekend this week. Gotta move a directory from on disk drive to another to make space on the original drive. Downside of Windows server 2012r2 is 2Tb (Terabyte) drive size. This is a band-aid until I move to new Virtual servers next year. The newer servers should be able to handle more space.

Currently 47° going for a high of 72° once again.

I hope you have a snow blower. While we don't get a ton of snow here, I can't shovel a 3 car drive way. But I usually do my neighbors drives as it's a way to get out of the house, and I do get along with the neighbors.

Good Morning All. Clear and 60°, possibly going up to 80° later today. A full schedule of outdoor tasks is at hand today since the weather is going to be so beautiful. Oh! The NWS has added rain to the forecast for Thanksgiving Day, OK though since I am not going anywhere. It's a shame since my extra large family is resuming our long-standing traditional Thanksgiving get together. Instead, I will cook the turkey and stuffing for us and one daughter, SIL and granddaughter here. I'll have to learn how to make the homemade cranberry concoction. Daughter is bringing the smashed potatoes, rolls and desserts. I'll also be making green bean casserole with last spring's canned green beans. Wife says that she should be able to stand long enough to make the gravy, or at least supervise!
Wife's broken tooth is going to require a crown. For now the dentist just cemented a filling on there to suffice for a month or so until after the knee surgery.

Thanks to all who liked or commented on my post from yesterday; Louis, Christian, Guy, Sherrel, Hughie, Karl, Curt, Tom, Patrick, Rick, Tom O, IB Ken, OB Ken.

I'll have a light breakfast this morning Flo, just a BLT with OJ.

Well I just thought that Sunday was a slow day out in the train shed, but yesterday was even slower. I made no visible progress on anything. I was able to clean and straighten up a couple of under-layout shelves while looking for something that I never found. I also sorted through some figures, both unpainted Preiser ones and painted Chinese ones for the next batch to be painted or repainted as the case may be. I did add a single figure to a scene that I posted about ten days ago.

But otherwise it was a dead day. They can't all be productive up top.

Tom -
Only because I've never seen dogs in trees.

Mikey - Very nice scene. It is well done.
Jesse - I've also done some business with "We Honest" before. They're a step above the typical Chinese model railroading goods. Many of their products are available on Amazon and Ebay, which reduces delivery times.
Karl -
Although the meme with Gnu is humorous, the grammar Nazi in me wants to point out there is no apostrophe in trains.
What gnu? That's The Count from Sesame Street.

Everybody have a great day. Stay safe and don't overdo it Guy.
