Good Morning All!
53F @ 51% severe clear. To 83F later. Guessers say big rain for Sunday and Monday, we need it.

Off to Thompson Falls as Maria wants to check out a nursery to get a tree for a fallen friend as a tribute. Been awhile since a short road trip; so lunch then a side trip to Wall*Mart for bread and JD sausage roll and a few others. Pby not making CostCo or Chefs Store this time. Taking camera and want to sit at the station in TF; hopefully BNSF cooperates. xMRL stuff would be fun too. There are also 'spots' along SR200 for photo-ops. Maybe film at 11.

Bronco is waiting - none of the auto stores here have the AC/Delco stop leak tabs. One from Amazon is coming in Monday ( $3.99 ), but I may check out the stores near the Wall*Mart side trip just cuz.

Good morning from a bright clear sky in So. Central Wisconsin. Right now it’s 75f degrees going into the upper 80’s. The wind is blowing at 8mph and the humidity is showing as 51% but seems a lot nicer than that. Overnight another 1.5” of rain water appeared in the gauge out front!

Tonight we see the last of our “Broadway” season tickets for the 2024-25 season. MJ the Musical. I’ve always enjoyed his music and the reviews on this show are outstanding. After 11 seasons here and 15 seasons up north when we lived there we are not renewing our subscription for the upcoming season. If there’s nothing of interest why spend a big bundle of money. The Overture Center in Madison had been bombarding Terry with emails because of our non renewal. Finally the phone calls and one of the callers yesterday kind of freaked when he asked if we’d still donating. The answer was not this upcoming season. Within a few hours yesterday Terry got 2 calls from higher ups there. The answer was the same. The past few seasons in our opinion you are straying away from the mission statement. This season’s shows are definitely not our cup of tea and we have decided not to buy the subscription to shows or donate to something we see as straying away from values that mean a lot to us. As many of you recall Terry is very liberal. When she says they are off course it wasn’t because they were leaning left. No but if you could find a degenerate show or so far left leaning that was on or off Broadway since Covid that’s what they’ve found. Even Terry couldn’t handle it. I don’t want blatant politics while watching a musical or play. Yes, in almost everything in theater you can find political overtones but enough was enough for her and I’ve agreed. The past few seasons we could see the trend but there were still some great shows. Out of 10 shows this season, not 1 show peaked either of our interests. They went too far for us.

We watched the grandson play hockey last night. I guess while Terry and I were in Vegas the grandson changed his mind about playing this Summer. Wednesday only and at the local arena. There were 4 other Verona kids on his team with the other 8 from other areas. For a team that never played together but for a 90 minute practice last week they played well. They won barely holding on as their 4 goal lead at 2 minutes left evaporated to 1 goal. It was fun and the g/son played well. Next week he has 2 games. One at noon and another at 7:15pm. Brooks dad told me last night at the game there are 8 teams in this Summer league. Brooks was the #2 pick in the draft held last week. The 1st was a goalie!

I am working on my freight car inventory. Taking pictures for possible addition to a car card system if I decide to go that way. Slow process yesterday but I’m in no hurry. There are 105 total cars that I will go through. I did 10 yesterday

I see SpaceX literally lit up the neighborhood last night. Wow, look for a video it’s a spectacular explosion

The world is ending! The Presidential Doomsday plane was seen flying yesterday. People forget there are 4 planes in the fleet called Doomsday and they monthly go out for maintenance flights! Got be prepared…

For a decent laugh or chuckle

Enjoy the day

Morning walk wasn’t bad. Watch claimed it was76F but my house sensors showed 81F. And blue sky and bright sun. But there was a decent breeze that took the edge off. My 60min walk turned into 90min as I walk buy a friend’s house down by our old place and he was out mowing so we chatted for a while. By the time I got home the house sensors said 88F and you felt it but the breeze is still there. Need to change into some grubbies and weed whack a battery’s worth of weeds from the front. One of our two 80v batteries is on the Fritz so I get one battery worth done at a time. I’ll let it recharge tonight and then put the brush blade in it and start attacking the 6’ thistles that have sprung up. They were at 2’ or less when we left for Japan. I’d hoped to get them taken down then but it didn’t work time wise.

I thought it was an SD70ace. According to the Trains.com article, but they could have it wrong.
I also thought it was an Ace but the dieselshop.us says UP#1616 is a SD70m. But nothings perfect. Either way Scaletrains doesn’t offer an ACe so if one shows up it will be most likely from Athearn. In about 3 years after saying pre-orders for 18 months out.

Morning all, or afternoon depending where you are.

All we got yesterday/overnight was a shower very early this morning. Not even a rumble of thunder.

I'm repairing a double-hung window glazing today, and I've repainted the outer frame, cleaned the channels, I have new glazing points and the window glazing.

Can't find my caulk gun to save my life. I've looked everywhere except where it is. Garage, train room, tool boxes, upstairs storage room, cabinets, etc. Can't find it anywhere.

I do have some clear and white latex caulk in a squeeze tube, so I guess I'll be using that instead. The caulk gun will turn up when the project is finished.

Slept in today, felt good. 91 here already, supposed to get to 93 and be hot the rest of the week. Possible rain this week every day, don't know how that could happen. Back is grumbling a bit, but that is normal. A friend just called me with a lottery of what day we bomb Iran. Guess we need to keep a sense of humor about the situation.

Afternoon all,

Busy 24 hours. Finally got most of the lightning damage diagnosed and fixed. Waiting on parts that were supposed to be here today, but FedEx randomly decides which governments are closed today and has it coming tomorrow. We are one of the 20% of local governments that aren't closed today. Glad they get to decide we're closed.

It's looking like I'll have to come in tomorrow after my appointments due to their screwup. It's ok, I do get paid by the hour and overtime to boot.

Does anyone use that free video editing software Clipchamp?

There was an older free software that was leagues better, with this I could not edit the "fade" duration. o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O:mad:

For the life of me I could not edit the fade length, even after watching several tutorials, my screen just does not mirror what they show. They must be featuring the version that requires the subscription

Does not make or brake the video, but it would make things look better
