Same Ol' Buzzard
Upon further review, yep, it looks like the severe weather will slide by to the north of me. It's moving in a northeasterly direction. That will make the drive this morning just a bit more tolerable.
I think it’s a Sony thing and I’m trying to remember what I had to do with my Sony alpha 6300. It didn’t connect to a hot spot or anything but I eventually got it connected to the phone IIRC. This was several years ago and I’m stretching my brain.
They have some custom protocol or something they run.
I uploaded this 2-minute video of my 3-mile 1 hour morning rail trail walk with Murphy to my Facebook page and it played perfectly. I just uploaded the same video to YouTube page and it's fuzzy. Anyone here know why that is? Swal
Nice Dog! But he looks like he is towing you judging by how straight the leash is. My border collie is that way and it can be tiring. The other dog walks alongside me. It's a much easier walk at the same speed. When I get that figured out, I'll let ya know!I uploaded this 2-minute video of my 3-mile 1 hour morning rail trail walk with Murphy to my Facebook page and it played perfectly. I believe we used to call that engine fogging. It was an old trick to clean carbon and other gunk out of engine's.Questions for you motor heads!
Storing a generator.
I've got my new in box inverter generator. They're mostly easy to start. Add oil in the correct spot. Add fuel (mine is dual fuel, LP and Gasoline). Move the choke lever, and give it a couple of pulls.
I left my old one New in Box condition, never adding oil or fuel, and hoped it would start right off when I sold it off. However, I should probably get this one running, and teach the wife how to do it as well.
So... The ATF trick. Anyone use it? Good idea for long term storage? Bad idea?
What I'm referencing...
PS: That's not me in the vid
Thanks Micheal I'll check that resolution thing out the next time I upload something. Where do you change the resolution? SwalWhen I played directly from YouTube, it loaded at 360 resolution. If you change the resolution manually to 720 or 1080 it looks fine. I don't know why it loads at 360.
It looks more like he's taking you for a walk.![]()
kbkchooch Thee's lots of rail trails in the area here. I'll see if I can't slow him down on our next walk. The rail trail we were walking on ends up crossing the Hudson River 20 miles from here on the 210-foot-high Poughkeepsie NY bridge. Swalkbkchooch Nice Dog! I agree. Why buy crappy steaks to begin with???
This is the alpha 6400 or something you mentioned previously?I just remembered that sometimes BT needs an app, so I downloaded the Sony imaging app and tried that. The camera sensed the phone, looked like it was going to work and then it failed. Camera back in the box and app deleted from the phone.

Yes it is. And no info anywhere on it. And no response from Sony. Not sure what direction I want to go in now. I bought the dang adapter for the lense. Maybe I should just get rid of it all.Sounds like a real PITA to me. First time I pushed the button on my Nikon it found the router and connected immediately and then downloaded all new photos to a folder it created itself.
Yup, A6400. And the app was the Sony imaging edge mobile. Set the camera to send to phone, it puts up a QR code, scan it with the IEM app and it should work AFAIK. The camera did sense it and both looked like they were doing something. And then, nothing. This is the alpha 6400 or something you mentioned previously?
What app? Sony Imaging Edge Mobile?
That’s the app that replaced the app I had used a few years ago.
Something tells me the camera creates its own WiFi and the app connects to it? That’s from memory and could be wrong.
