Good morning Coffee Shop, it's Monday! The temperature is 52°F
(11°C) and mostly clear.

Have a great day! ;)
Weather:
Partly cloudy toward daybreak then mostly cloudy with isolated showers through early afternoon. Mostly cloudy with showers and numerous thunderstorms late this afternoon. Breezy with highs in the upper 70s. Southeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph becoming south 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph late this afternoon. Chance of rain 80 percent.

The cost of batteries for these electric tools is horrific.
Yea, when my Milwaukee drill batteries finally crapped out it was cheaper to throw the the drill away and buy a new set. The batteries and the drill
has gone thru redesign since I bought it and even on the secondary market the used batteries were going to be almost as much as buying new. Shame because the drill still worked flawless but I figured why not get the better drills and the newest battery technology at the time.

I can look but it looks safe from the outside -- just need to see the actual contents. The stuff it is doing is normal for setting up stuff to launch on login etc.
Thanks. I'll hold off for now.

we'll see how long I can keep my momentum of morning writing up.

Some dark squirrel of doom will run across my news feed and distract me again. But I'm trying to be better. Need to get a book written so I can publish in June.

Good morning all!

The rain has started as I'm writing this, looks to be a soggy day with rain off and on all day thru tonight. Doesn't matter I mowed yesterday.
Currently its 58F with the high around 66F. Still not sure if tonight we have the predicted severe weather that they have been running around
and warning everyone about for almost a week. We look to be in or near the area of elevated risk. I think further south is more of the target.

Usual Monday stuff around the house today have to run my daughter to school; early this morning for a interact club meeting.

Not much else going on at the moment.

Have a safe day everyone!

Good morning. 60°F with light rain showers. Overnight we had moderate thunderstorms, but no warnings for my immediate area. My warning went off about 0330, but it was for just south of me so I rolled over and waited for the next warning that never came.

The really severe weather doesn't start until around 1600 through 2100 this afternoon and tonight. Stay safe if you are anywhere in Illinois with an orange bullseye.

Have a safe day today.

Servus!

Good Morning All. Mostly cloudy and 73°, a warm start for the day. Supposed to reach 93° later when the clouds clear, then thunderstorms tomorrow. Cool front hits Wednesday with highs only in the 60's for a few days. Spring time in North Central Texas.

Not much to report on from here yesterday, as church takes out a good chunk of time. The usual Sunday bed linen laundry and a session with the weedeater. One downside of owning a hunk of land is maintenance. Takes a lot of time in the Spring. However the hayfield is growing well this year. Neighbor's wheat field looks good as well.

Nothing special on tap for today, might rain tomorrow so I'll tie up loose ends in the garden, if any.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I planted a few more trees on the layout. It was a short day as most Sundays are. I cleared the workbench somewhat so I could start cleaning and rehabbing the structures that I will be removing from the current layout clean-up area.

Michael - That storm NW of Ft Worth (and SW of me) on Saturday night was really something. That's part of the one that was headed for me that split just before getting here. Some damage north of here along the Oklahoma border but not nearly as severe. I was watching closely on the radar. Funny but fortunate thing that we got no wind at all even though the fringes were as close as 5 miles to my location.
Re: the layout. I hope to get 25-30 trees scattered about on that portion of the layout. I admit to being horrible about making my own, but I have a few that I made plus a bunch that I acquired from Chet when he dismantled his layout. I have also since found some relatively good pre-made ones.
Swal - Looks like Murphy is a keeper.
David (Marlin) - I have watched as they remove trees for a subdivision, then either the homeowner or builder goes back and plants more!
Kusojiji -
I mix ketchup, mayo, mustard and pickle relish up and make my own secret sauce for burgers and dogs.
Can you taste the meat???;)
Condiments - Simple here. As I told my wife when she made my brown-bag lunch every day for work: Red meat, ham, bologna, salami, liverwurst; and hot dogs at home gets mustard. Brown meat or white meat, turkey, roast beef, chicken (and hamburgers) gets mayonnaise. Ketchup only goes on fried potatoes; tater-tots, hash browns or french fries. She uses ketchup on a lot of other things herself, almost to the point of being a major food group.

Everyone have a great Monday.

Good morning from a strange looking sky in So Central Wisconsin. It’s got a nasty looking yellow hue to it. It was supposed to be heavy rains at 7am and we had none. The radar for noon today showed lots of red meaning heavy t-storms. I checked that before bed at midnight. I just looked because I realized it’s not raining. Less than 40% chances of rain today is what it’s showing now. The radar shows the heavy duty storms staying south in Iowa and Illinois not crossing at all into Wisconsin.

I will finally venture into the train room today after not setting a foot in there since at least Thursday.

Enjoy the day

As I expected from two days ago, the NWS has upgraded our threat to a Moderate risk almost exactly centered on my location. There are already tornado warnings for counties north of here with no direct threat here, and some severe thunderstorms to my east. We are in the clear so far.

Haha, yeah. I don't soak it. I don't use salad dressing in my salads either. For my steaks, I use wasabi and soy sauce, not too much. I cook my steaks with salt, freshly ground black pepper, and garlic powder.
Crappy steaks I just use A1 and good steaks I don’t use anything but when cooking beef not as a steak or roast I like the Japanese steak sauce that seems to be soy sauce and sesame oil based. I can also use it as a dipping sauce with a good steak. That sort of sauce is awesome.

That’s cooking beef strips on a grill or table top grill/hot plate etc. Asian style.
