I tried to read the other thread, to see if you have pictures of the support under the peninsula, but a) its a long thread and b) there are lots of missing pictures at least in the first couple of pages.

Yes, the peninsula plywood is supported by a single piece of that metal tube running down the center bottom.
I thought i had saved a pic, but I can find one if you would like to see it?

No need for a picture, so the peninsula is cantilevered, but not the sections on either side of the peninsula since they are supported on the front edge by the metal tubing.
